Very comfortable, well equipped, quiet and peaceful. we were only there one night, but I would love to come back for a longer stay.

Loved cabin #15, spacious and secluded, surrounded by redwood trees. We enjoyed views of the property and walking to the river. Beds were comfortable and includes a jzap kitchenette.

Sprinklers turned on in the morning and early evening.

The location is the winner! Check in process was very well organized, instructions were very clear. Well maintained grounds, each cabin has its own bbq facilities, everything inside the cabin was working properly, the bed was comfortable, sheets clean and crisp. Oh and what I really liked was the feeling of a total privacy (you know how sometimes you stay in a hotel and the hotel staff is very busy always doing something around you and you feel like you are constantly on their way? So none of that was happening , a totally quiet space).

The only minor thing - and it is really about the location of the town, not the resort fault - is the proximity to the main and only road. It was Monday so I woke up at 6am because of the recycling trucks. But I think if you book a cabin closer to the river it shouldn't be an issue.

We LOVED the location. It was in the middle of the woods, quiet and relaxing, but also close to stores, gas stations, and even a movie theater. Everything was within a 15-minute range. The environment at Fern River Resort was perfect for when you need to disconnect and recharge your batteries. It's also right next to Henry Cowell State Park and the train rides.

The cabins are well equiped with all you need and we loved the kitchenette, that allowed us to prepare our favorite meals and save money too! I'd suggest having extra blankets for guests as it can get cold at night. The bed was a little hard, and tall, but it didn't bother us too much. We loved this place in general. We would definitely be back!

Beautiful, well- maintained grounds and simple, comfortable cabin. Everything you need to relax and enjoy the magnificent redwoods and nearby Redwoods State Park.

The bed was very modern, comfortable. But also very tall, causing us to have to climb to get into it. Reminded me of my childhood horse Flicka--tall and hard for me to get up onto it. But both were worth the effort!

Amazing experience in a cabin, set among the towering redwood trees. Super trails close by.

We truly enjoyed the comfort of Fern River Resort. The cabin exceeded our expectations and we loved being under the redwoods and by the river San Lorenzo River. The only odd thing we noticed was the office did not return our calls. We were arriving late in the evening and wanted to alert the office. They never returned our call. They did, however, leave a key pinned to the bulletin board outside the office. Our stay was delightful, but would have appreciated a response.
