Quaint, historic! Friendly, helpful staff. Good location with proximity to food. Had its own pub.

Some windows didn’t open but staff was helpful in finding another room. Limited breakfast but everything available was good.

Felt like we were staying at our grandma’s house…in the best way possible! Clean, quant, with the perfect charm. We were given the warmest welcome by the new owners, and friendly farewell as we departed. There were just a couple facilities missing that you would find at your “typical hotel”, but that didn’t take away from it’s appeal! This place treated us as family, and I’d choose that over a popular hotel chain any day.

Walls were pretty thin, so could hear a lot of commotion (fans were provided to accommodate!) Overall, i’d say it was a quiet stay:) Can’t hardly complain about it this place, and it’s customer service!

The staff at this unique hotel made the experience even better! I loved how the history of the building is in tact. It makes you feel like you went back in time with the perfect touch of modern updates!! The beds were so comfortable. The brewery located in the basement was an added bonus. Such a cool place!!

Hotel great. Eating establishments around are quite lacking, especially if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

We stayed in the 'Jury Room' of the former town hall and felt transported back in time. The room was super spacious with very high ceilings, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom well appointed. The original steam heating worked beautifully while it was bitterly cold outside.

Delightful old-fashioned hotel. Greeted by the owner and made to feel welcome. Wonderful small pub in the basement that served the best micro-brew Belgian style beer that I can remember tasting. I was sorry that we had only one night in the funny little town of Lead.

Very unique and interesting place to stay. Seems like a well managed small business, just husband and wife. Large windows and lots of day light. Full kitchen.

Breakfast was a little too spare. It's clear they don't have staff for a full hot breakfast, but just a toaster, some bagels, a mini fridge with some yogurt and or a waffle iron and some just add water waffle batter + some water to mix it would have made all the difference.

Everything was spotless. The whole experience was exactly what we wanted…historical, relaxing and different!
