Arrived at 9:30pm to 30+ people in the lobby and my room not ready. Was told to take a seat and wait just a few minutes. After a few minutes, I inquired further and learned that none of the people in the lobby had rooms that were ready. Ended up cancelling and paid more for the nicer Hilton hotel a few minutes away. Staff lacked transparency and would've left me waiting probably over an hour had I not left. They should not have allowed me to book a room day-of if they knew they didn't have the rooms ready.

Room pricing was not through the roof. Nice location. Located near great food and dining options. Right by the mall for shopping and the AMC theater to check out a movie. I will stay there again.
This is being picky but coffee wasn't available until the morning in the breakfast area. Heads up! The door to the room slams shut. The bathroom spacing is very tight.

The room was big and clean. The staff was super nice.
I'm assuming housekeeping was checking if we had already left at 9am. Checkout isn't till noon. She continuously knocked on the door then opened the door.

Location.
The room had a strange odor. Our room was next to the elevator and very noisy. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed. There were not enough pillows, and when requested, we were told the hotel was out of pillows. Bed was uncomfortable, and bedding was old and worn. The pool was a good size, but there were no towels, and the furniture was in pretty bad shape.

Right now, I am very disappointed with the bill. Currently, there are 2 unauthorized charges on my credit card and the hotel has not returned the funds to my account nor have they provided an explanation of these unauthorized charges. These charges have also caused my bank account to be charged with overdraft fees, due to these charges.

The phone in the room had some syrupy like sticky stuff on it. When I called the front desk and put the phone up to ear that’s when I felt it. Also the fruit was still frozen when we got “fresh fruit”.

The location was great and the rooms were clean
The rooms were hot even with the thermostat down to 61. The phone had been unplugged and it didn't work once we plugged it in. The breakfast bar was ok. Things were cold and you had stuff to make a breakfast burrito but no eggs to go in it. Just sausage, salsa, cheese, etc

This used to be our go-to property when visiting family in Hoover but it has slowly deteriorated. We will be looking for another property.
Found broken light fixtures, broken alarm/radio. Killed two roaches in the morning. informed the front desk leaving and received a “ho hum” response.
