My sons shoes got stolen, we left them outside the door and Lo and Behold, the next time we opened the door they were gone!

The location is fantastic! Within walking distance of Murdoch's, Pleasure Pier and multiple restaurants. And directly across from a beach access on the Seawall. It is an older motel but has been updated and though the rooms are on the small side, they are clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our overnight stay.

The parking lot is small but wasn't crowded when we were there.

I booked with booking.com which was cheaper than the price they quoted me on the phone, no mention of a deposit either and once we got there not being allowed to get into our room until 3:00pm and they popped a 100$ deposit on us out of the blue... I'm just glad I had the extra to let them hold..

I did not like. My mother-in-law had a stroke two days before we were to go to this hotel. We were so excited to go and stay here. I emailed bec so much was going on, explained the situation, never heard a peep but sorry you didn’t show so no money back. Period.

everything about the shower leaves a lot to be desired. shower head was like being in an old RV and the water pressure was not even strong enough to wash the dirt down the drain. I had to use the ice bucket to get the dirt to go down the drain.

The staff to check in and out was not friendly and when our key didn’t work and my son went to ask, it seemed like an inconvenience that we were bothering. Housekeeping came in and took the trash out of the trash can but left it in the room.

the lady at the front desk was really demotivated! she didn’t say to us anything about the service(parking, breakfast) . we lost the breakfast and she didn’t say anything about the extra parking in the back (when we arrive in the night ,the front parking lot was full and we didn’t have any idea there was another one in the back, we just found it by ourselves)

The location on the Seawall is fantastic with a wonderful sea view.

The staff was grumpy when checking me in. I entered the first room and it wreaked of cigarette smoke and ashes all around the tables, phones, lamps. The phone in the room did not work so I was unable to call the unfriendly woman at the front desk to alert her of the room condition. I walked back to the front desk, informed the clerk of the room condition, and she tried to call cleaning staff before assigning me to another room. I went to second room and thankfully there was not cigarette smoke, so I proceeded to shower... only to find pubic hair all over the "clean" bathroom surfaces (toilet, shower, sink, counter). Every single "clean towel" in the room was laced with dark pubic hairs, like they were washed into the towels together, and even the cleaning staff potentially uses these same clean towels to wipe down the counters. Because it was disgusting. It was clear the surfaces have been wiped down, but they were wiped down with dirty, hairy towels, leaving hairs on every surface. I returned to the front desk, waited until another guest left as to not freak them out, and quietly informed the unfriendly check in clerk about the disgusting bathroom and towel situation. She did not act surprised or horiffied about what I told her. She would not make eye contact with me, apologize to me or even acknowledge the condition of the two rooms. I gave her the room keys and left. I did not have high expectations for this property, but I certainly expected a cleaner room and a more reasonable staff member to acknowledge the disgusting, health board level issues a guest found. The Galveston County Health District should be alerted of this property.

The smell. No matter what I used to make it smell better nothing worked. The wall heater was part of the problem. When it came on the smell just got worse. The air filters were filthy and needed to be replaced. Also the floors were filthy as well. Not sure if they mop when they clean. The shower floor was also filthy nearly black. Stains like blood on the bathroom wall. I am sure all this filth contributed to the horrible smell. I had a lot more pictures but Booking.com did not give me the freedom to post them all.
