The property is huge, the part you rent is the ground floor which has great access for anyone who doesn't cope well with stairs. The villa is so much larger than it looks, all the bedrooms are double rooms, very spacious and comfortable. The air con is really good, just remember a few 1 euro coins to keep it going if you need it. The whole place is completely private, which is so refreshing, it is very quiet and peaceful, loads of space. The beach is a short drive away, I recommend going late afternoon when it is not too hot. There are loads of restaurants a short walk or a few minutes drive away, so you don't have to cook at all if you don't want to, although the kitchen is large and fully equipped if you want to. I would recommend this place, it's large enough for 2 families to share and you won't be stepping on each others toes.

Good villa, excellent outside space. not far from bars and restaurants, beach a short drive. Air con coin operation is the only downfall - would be much more preferable paying a fair deposit amount with electric usage to be deducted, just a suggestion.

We stayed in Derrick's villa for 2 weeks at the end of July/beginning of August. We were a family of 5 for the first week, and had 3 adult family members join us for the second week. The villa was a great size for us as a 5 but still a fantastic size for us as an 8. The outside area in particular was really spacious with a round, social table that fit us all comfortably, and sunbeds for us all. The pool was a really lovely temperature and well maintained by the pool man twice a week, so it was lovely and clean. We had 2 rental cars the second week, and were able to park both of them on the gravel so that they were secured on villa grounds. We normally stay in Quesada, but found that the location of this villa was perfect, being closer to the airport and beach, with great restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Thank you Derrick

The only bad with this apartment was air con. We need coins and it only work in 2 hours. Thats not good for the air con, with all start and stip, and its not good for us. We Can rent this apartment again, if the air con Can work so much as we want, and it will be cheaper for the owner when you dont have all this start and stop. The air con will live longer

The villa was in a quiet but good location. Easy and very helpful property managers that helped us immensely even though our flight was delayed until well past midnight.

Stunning villa great out door space that was well maintained. A beautiful pool that the children didn’t want to leave meaning a very relaxing break for the adults as we didn’t need to leave often. Any requests we made during our stay (extra bedding, pool lights instructions) were responded to quickly, efficiently and with a smile. Communication from the start was without fault. Do not however, park on the yellow lines outside. Spanish police are mean!!!

This is a brilliant property - a great base for a holiday in the summer sun. The villa is well equipped, spacious and was very clean. The pool is amazing - my children spent hours per day in there. Location wise it is located on a quiet street and is a 15 minute walk to the nearest resturants/bars etc. It is a 25 minute drive from Alicante airport and close to lots of nearby attractions. We had a fab time, a real holiday to remember.

Great property and location only downfall the fan blades were really dirty and you had to pay extra for air con. Pool cleaner man did a great job. Would stay again and recommend - Lovey

Beautiful villa with everything you need.

Villa was everything in the description.We were a family of 8 & enough space for all of us.I would say a car is essential in July & August, the village is easily in walking distance but not at the temperature we were having, takes 15 mins to walk & we used the local bus to get to the beach , that was great as had a breeze,We tried to hire a car but all booked up with it being August, would of had to go back to airport to get one.Jerry & Kay were brilliant running us around.If you need to book the minibus do in advance, we left it to late and was booked got 2 taxis from airport 45 euroes each, minibus on return 40 euroes for all of us.Plenty of good restaurants in both villages.Derrick was very accommodating if we needed anything, but little contact as everything was great. Thanks Derrick we really enjoyed the villa.

The Villa is in an 'urbanization' part of La Marina. The property itself is on a corner of the road, and it is very spacious and clean. The pool is magnificent, clean and warmed by the strong sun, our children thoroughly enjoyed the villa for that reason - a private pool! We travelled as a family of five, including a 5 month old baby, plus my mum & dad (so 7 in total). The villa comfortably accommodated us all, it did not feel at any time that we were on top of each other or in each other's way, as there were 2 x bathrooms and enough separate bedrooms for each couple and older children (4 in total). Every night that we ate at the property, we did so outside at the table in the corner of the terrace, which was very pleasant. There are lights around and inside the pool which gives it a charming feel. There is also a very colourful area behind full of plants and flowers, which was very nice. We arrived very late on a Saturday evening, having flew into Murcia which is about an hour's drive away. We had no water to drink or anything to eat, fortunately we managed to drive our hire car to the petrol station on the main road into the Urbanization and grab some essentials with minutes to spare, before that closed at 11 p.m. I suggested to Derrick that a 'Welcome Pack' may be a great idea to people who requested it, or that were coming to the property late at night, or indeed very early in the morning, which he agreed with. I found communication very easy with Derrick - he is open to any suggestions and will answer any questions / queries you may have promptly. There is a lady across the road-Kay- that looked after any of our needs / requirements whilst we were staying at the villa (such as a replacement bulb when one blew). We did walk into the town, where there is a supermarket and some nice restaurants, on the first morning for breakfast, but with a buggy and two older people, it was about 25-30 minutes each way, so all future trips were made using the hire car. With that, we found some other 'clusters' of varied restaurants, more Supermarkets, a newsagent, a fish n chip shop and even a German food store which pleased me as I really like German beer, around the urbanization. The beach is in the opposite direction, again we used the car as it would have taken about 30 minutes to walk to it, but there was free parking behind that and it was a very nice clean beach, with one restaurant / bar on it.

This property has everything you need for a family holiday. The outside space is well maintained and huge so plenty of room for you to BBQ, be in the shade, sunbathe, swim in the pool, etc. The pool is cleaned regularly so always crystal clear. There is everything you could possibly need for a holiday at this villa. It’s 0.6 miles to walk to the nearest restaurants/bars and supermarket. If you don’t like to walk then hire a car. Highly recommend this villa for families or 2 families to share, plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.

We found this villa on Home and Away, it seemed cheap for a massive villa that sleeps 8. We were not disapointed, the villa has a large open space for the children to run around and it is very secure. The pool look brand new and gorgeous with steps to get in and a shallow end that is perfect for the smaller ones. It is close to the supermarket and restaurants and bars about a 10 walk. After a couple of days we found a short cut to get there a bit quicker. There is another group of restaurants including the grill house and Ramons that were both execellent, these were about half an hour walk. Kaye the housekeeper that lives opposite gave us a lift a couple of times and only charged us 5 euros. She also gave us a lift to the beach for the day, she dropped us off at 12 and picked us up at 5pm which was nice for a change as we were there for 12 days. The beach is only 10 min s drive but a bit of a walk and across a roundabout. We booked Kaye to take us to Alicante one night this was bout 25 mins drive away and had a great day out around the port, doing some shopping in town and at the evening market. There is some gorgeous squares where you can sit and have a coffee or a glass of wine. There is a washing machine and dishwasher and great ultra fast wifi. There is sky TV and internet TV which has loads of diffrent languages and all the sports, childrens and film channels, although we did not spend much time inside the villa. There is a great BBQ and a massive round table under a wooden gazebo to have meals at as well as an extendable table inside. There is a sofa area to sit out at night by the pool. At about 10pm the pool lights up and changes colour every few miniutes it is stunning. I would really recommend this villa, it is great value for money, easy to get to from the airport and gorgeous. We did not get a car, but i looked up on compare car hire Alicante and it was very cheap, we just wanted to chill so it was fine.

We booked this villa because we needed a safe and secure holiday home with a private pool and with access to local amenities and it ticked every box. Derrick had told us that there was lots to do and places to go but in the end we just ended up enjoying lazing by the pool and enjoying the relaxing location and cooking on the BBQ. The accommodation is clean and spacious and the pool area has good quality sun beds and dining furniture. We spent most of the time in the outside living area. The supermarket is local, 5 minute drive or 15-20 minute stroll. It has all you need inc foods from the UK but also all the traditional Spanish foods and has in-store butchers, perfect for the BBQ. It goes without saying it has all the booze you may require. There were a few bars and restaurants near by which you don't need a car to get to. You have a lady called Kaye who lives opposite who can help with tourist information, recommendations or even a lift to the shops or bars at a very reasonable price. She is easily contactable and happy to help. The “urbanisation” which the villa is situated is quite far away from Alicante but easily reached by car if you did want to venture further a field, the beach looked good and it had a bar/restaurant but we were only being nosey so we were only passing. So like I said, we were just happy to stay at this villa so if you just need to get away and relax by the pool then this is perfect. One of the local shops opposite the supermarket sold good quality pool inflatables so I spent most of the time floating on a huge blow up arm chair! The villa has coin operated A/C, fans and large kitchen area with all the usual utilities. There is also TV with satellite receiver with lots of channels inc all the usual UK channels, there is a DVD player and HiFi system inc Bluetooth streaming function. The pool has light changing LEDs so perfect for mini parties around the pool/BBQ. Derrick is very happy to help with any questions and has contact with friends living locally to the villa so support is always available should you need it.

Nice villa on a nice estate . Could do with a dishwasher . Beds as usual harder than pampered English are used to . Having housekeeper living opposite was helpful when minor problems arose , dealing with them quickly .

Approx half an hours drive from Alicante Elche airport, we arrived at the detached house with large family sized pool. The lower floor of the house , which is the part rented out , has 4 double bedrooms , all clean and tidy. All amenities are in good condition, clean , well decorated holiday home . With a hire car or motorcycle you are only a few minutes away from the local shops and restaurants.

The villa and pool are lovely and Kay is very helpful so if you just want to lounge by the pool it’s fantastic. However, you really need a car if you want to get out and about. We walked to the beach which I wouldn’t recommend with children as it’s along a main road and there’s no pavement. Taxis are expensive (€55 to Alicante) although Kay can usually find you a cheaper lift. Overall it was fab for our girls weekend.

Fell in love with the place the moment we opened the gate and saw the gorgeous swimming pool and garden. The villa itself was all we could have wished for; very clean, all facilities you could possibly think of and it was aesthetically pleasing too. The fact it had a washing machine was a bonus as we tend to travel light! The air conditioning which was in the lounge and main bedroom was wonderful!! Kay, the lady who looks after the villa, was very kind and helpful and told us all the restaurants to try. It was a huge bonus that we could walk to many of them but as long as she was given enough notice, Kay was happy to drop us off AND collect us too! We left the villa feeling totally relaxed and unwound. Truly lovely stay in a truly lovely place! Can't wait to go back next year!

Outside pool and sun bathing area my favourite part of villa good size pool and about 10 good quality sun beds umbrellas, outside table we used for breakfast every morning and the beautiful plants and trees really made it a beautiful place to relax in . This villa has everything you need, loads of space a perfect size and depth pool! Owners instructions were great to get into the property and about local attractions and restaurants. I would highly recommend for families or groups of friends it's ideal!

The whole villa requires a deep clean. We did wipe the ceiling fans over as they were thick with dust. The air conditioning was inadequate. This didn’t spoil our holiday we just got on with it. Kaye and Alex were very helpful regarding a lift to Benidorm. All I’ve n all the villa is in need of some serious TLC.

Stayed in Derricks villa in August, five adults and four children (under the age of 12). Lovely villa everything you need. Kitchen well equipped, bathroom and shower room just what you need with good towels, comfortable beds with good linen, lounge spacious with good TV channel selection and good selection of DVDs ( if you need them). We did not. Out in the sunshine around the pool, in the pool or relaxing on the new sun beds and patio furniture or sitting in the shade under the gazebo. Nice quiet location and an easy 15 minutes walk to the ‘strip’ for bars and restaurants and of course the essential supermarket. 5euro Taxi back with the shopping. Went to Hillside Water Park and the Posh Pool and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We had a few little issues when we arrived at the villa, nothing to spoil our holiday, but if you contact Derrick, as we did, he had everything rectified immediately. Easy airport run for 35euro, only 20 minutes. Overall, good location, good villa, great pool area, and a very helpful owner... easy to communicate with, honest and helpful. Great family holiday with my son and daughter and the grandchildren.

Wonderful holiday enjoyed by everyone. Villa in a lovely location with an easy 15 minute walk to local supermarket and restaurants. If you walk a further 10mins there is more choice of bars and restaurants and we would highly recommend the grill. Villa well maintained clean and tidy. In the words of our son "just perfect having the pool outside our door!!"

The villa is nice and spacious great outside area and pool with great sunbeds. Very accommodating and the lady opposite was very helpful. Supermarket was a 15min walk from the villa and luckily a taxi rank was opposite for the return journey. Everywhere on Le Marina was €5. If you are wanting to go out for dinner and or drinks each night you will need to get a taxi to another location as there are not many restaurants near by and not of high quality (although there was a nice Italian resturant about 300meters past the supermarket on the opposite side of the road). It is a very quite location heavily populated with retirees. There was 4 girls staying in the villa and it was exactly what we wanted for a quite few days of relaxation and the taxi to the beach and other locations for dinner was not too expensive (approx €20 to the beach). We had a great stay and would recommend to others!
