Modern 2 bedroom luxury accommodation, close to the beach
Benvenuti a The Retreat at Scaurodoon. Una bella casa di tipo condominio di recente costruzione, con 2 camere da letto. Siamo situati nel cuore di Burns Country ad Ayr, magnificamente situato all'estuario del fiume Doon, proprio accanto alla famosa spiaggia di Ayr. Burns Cottage, Museum e il famoso Brig O'Doon sono tutti raggiungibili in 20 minuti a piedi. Ci sono bellissime passeggiate sul fiume e splendide passeggiate sulla spiaggia alle porte e Ayr Town Centre è a 5 minuti in auto o 30 minuti a piedi dalla casa.
Ci sono ristoranti di prima classe, bar, pub e negozi a breve distanza a piedi.
Il South Ayrshire è anche il paese del golf e ci sono due eccellenti campi locali a dieci minuti a piedi dalla casa e molti altri corsi di collegamento aereo in 20 minuti di auto tra cui Prestwick Old Course, il sito del primo Open Golf Championship in assoluto e gli inglesi Corsi aperti al Royal Troon e all'iconico Turnberry.
Più lontano Glasgow è raggiungibile in un'ora o 40 minuti di treno dalla stazione di Ayr. Edimburgo è a circa 90 minuti di auto da Ayr. Ci sono molte opzioni di trasporto pubblico nelle vicinanze
La proprietà in sé è bellissima con tutti i servizi necessari per il vostro soggiorno. Entrambe le camere hanno letti matrimoniali King Size, uno dei quali può essere diviso in 2 letti singoli, se necessario. C'è un bagno "Jack and Jill" tra le due camere da letto e un altro bagno con doccia al piano di sotto.
Non vediamo l'ora di darvi il benvenuto nel bellissimo South Ayrshire e nella nostra deliziosa casa.

Well-equipped, very nicely presented and comfortable house in a fabulous location next to the river and beach. It’s a lovely quiet location and we enjoyed seeing a couple of deer trotting up the street, whilst we were there.
Gary very kindly left us a large selection of breakfast items in the fridge, plus tea, coffee, milk, condiments etc, all of which were much appreciated on the morning after attending a wedding.
We’d love to stay again in future for a weekend break and to bring our little dog who would love the proximity to the beach and the safe enclosed garden.
Really clear and helpful communication with Gary in the run up to our booking and, although we didn’t cross paths on our stay, his son was ion hand in the adjoining house if we needed anything.

The property was advertised as a 3 bedroom property however it is only a two bed.
The property and the owner were fantastic and the location is great for long walks on the beach.
We would definitively stay there again.

Convenient location - only a few minutes walk to the sea and about 15 minutes walk into Ayr along the seafront. Well appointed property and a welcoming host. Will definitely use again and would recommend to others.

What a great place to stay. Very comfortable and no distance to the most beautiful part of Ayr beach. We were staying whilst visiting family and definitely hope to come back.

The house is a great base for exploring Ayrshire. Ayr beach is right on the doorstep, Alloway and Burn's country is just a short drive down the road and it's not too long a drive or train journey to get through to other town and cities. Gary was a great host and was onhand to help whenever required as he stays in an attached annex. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this house to stay in.

Restful retreat yet just off the beachside walk and with good pub/restaurant at top of road. Ideal for visiting Rabbie Burns birthplace and the museum (both National Trust Scotland).

The perfect location for a trip home to visit family. The Retreat was the perfect base - clean, spacious and modern. Close to the beach and all amenities. The host, Gary, made us immensely welcome and went the extra mile to make our stay memorable! We will heartily recommend this property and definitely will be back in future.

Fantastic weekend with wider family and we had the space to host all for dinner! A fantastic indoor outdoor space with a well equipped kitchen. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms well appointed and modern.

Great Location
This property is in an ideal location for quiet sea front walks and close enough for all the amenities in Ayr. Culzean Castle is a short drive away and a great day out for all ages. Loved the Burns experience in Alloway. The property is modern and well equipped, beds are extremely comfortable. Great place to just relax.

Cannot praise this property enough. When we arrived the second gedroom has a king size bed with two single quilts. I rang the manager who arrived with a new quilt and new bedding. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful house and perfect location for the beach. Highly recommend.

Just what we were looking for. Great house, fantastic location and sunshine what more could you ask for. Our dog loved it and it was great to have a safe, enclosed garden for him to roam in. Hopefully will return

Booked this property for myself and my groomsmen the night before our wedding at brig o doon house hotel. The accommodation was perfect in every way , Gary replied to any queries almost instantly and cannot fault anything . Full breakfast and bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival was a lovely touch too. 10/10.

Beautiful condo, it exceeded all our expectations. Stayed here with my husband and daughters aged 6 and 14.
Plenty to keep us all entertained, the girls particularly like the local equestrian center and had 2 lessons/hacks. We enjoyed the local castles,parks and tree top adventure.
The accommodation itself is stunning, like home from home, everything you need is provided.
Even got left lovely breakfast goodies and prosseco in the fridge. Bonus of a dishwasher and washing machine to use.
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and would definitely stay again.

Great house with all modern comforts
Booked "the retreat " for our daughters wedding in alloway . Gary was amazing host and we loved staying here.... comfy beds ... great kitchen ... a lovely space for a family or 2 couples to spend time together . Loved the little touches... fresh cakes, bread ... butter and a breakfast stuff left in the fridge. The Christmas decs were even out when we arrived..... the lounge /diner looked amazing l.

The property was lovely, modern and bright. It’s in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach. It’s a good base for sightseeing, we visited Dumfries House and Calzean Castle which are only about a 20 minute drive away.
Would totally recommend.

We were delighted to stay at Gary's property. He was the perfect host and we had a fantastic time staying there. The house is located right on the beach within easy walking distance of Ayr town centre and Alloway. There were plenty of amazing walks and also restaurants and pubs within walking distance. There are also lots of places of interest to visit in Alloway. The house itself is very modern with everything you need and has a lovely terrace with tables and chairs. The garden is very safe for children and pets.
We'll definitely return again in the future.

There are also lots of places of interest to visit in Alloway. The house itself is very modern with everything you need and has a lovely terrace with tables and chairs. The garden is very safe for children and pets.

With everything going on out there we didn’t do much but there are plenty of shops and the beach right on your door step is beautiful.
It really is a home from home and are planning on returning next year with our son.
