This house is located very close to whiteface. We stayed here for our hike of whiteface and Esther and couldn’t have asked for a better location. We already talked about staying here again in the winter months to ski. The owners were very responsive and have set up the house beautifully. There were many small details such as the labels inside the home, and the provided crib that simplified our stay and made it very enjoyable.

My mom and I had a BEAUTIFUL stay at White Spruce Cottage. Perfect location in Wilmington to visit the local beach area with the dogs every morning and easy access to 86 and whiteface highway for all our favorite hikes and visits to Lake Placid. Clean, and everything we needed was easily accessible. Beautiful views from the balcony even on cloudy or rainy days!

We had an amazing stay. The house is only 5 minutes from Whiteface and 15 minutes from the town of Lake Placid. Everything in the house was clean and well maintained. Beautiful view of Whiteface Mountain. We will definitely be returning next year!

This is the second time that we have stayed at this property and it will not be our last! The hosts always have us prepared for our stay well in advance, the place is clean and if you don't want to leave the property, you don't have to, everything is there to make you feel like you're right at home. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our vacation. The house is perfect. It was clean and well stocked and the hot tub was perfect for star gazing at night. They really thought of everything. Plenty of kitchen supplies and towels for the week. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of hot water .We had a small issue ( not the owners fault) but they were there in 10 minutes and stayed for hours until it was resolved. They couldn't have been nicer. We were there to hike and never had to drive more than 20 minutes to beautiful trails, and were only 10 minutes from Whiteface mountain.Also it was nice that we could bring our dogs. A perfect house, location and hot tub. What more do you need :) Can't wait to go back !!

The house was perfect for our group of 3 married couples and one dog. There was enough space that we could have easily slept another 2-3 adults if needed. The weekend selected just so happened to be a polar vortex where temperatures reached -25 consistently and we were all comfortable and had plenty of space within the house. We were there for skiing and were able to get to the base lodge in less than 10 minutes. The hot tub worked great. Upon arrival, we had one small issue and the hosts were extremely responsive - even offering to stop by at almost 10pm if needed. We were able to get things sorted and had no issues the rest of the stay. I would stay here again in the future and recommend it to others as well.

An amazing home near everything!
My husband and I stayed here for a week with our daughter, her husband and their 4 children under 5. The only word I would use to describe this home “Excellent”. From the amenities, the location and how comfortable we felt there. All of the beds were so comfortable. The house is spotless and has a nice little porch area where you can sit with your morning coffee and enjoy the view! Also, we had many fires in the evening out in the back. We did meet the owners, Cassandra and Jeremy and they very welcoming to us.
I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting this region.

Great Property & Location!
Our family of 6 - all adults - stayed here to be close to Whiteface Ski Resort and Lake Placid. It’s a perfect location from both! The house was clean and cozy, and the hosts provided plenty of towels. A 6 person hot tub outside was the perfect way to end our days! We also brought our dog (crate trained) and appreciated that was allowable for no extra fee. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again!

Great Stay!
This is definitely a 5 star property! Cassandra was very responsive and check in was easy. Some of our group was skiing Whiteface which was less than 10 minutes away. Probably the closest we've stayed to a mountain that wasn't ski in ski out!
Beds were super comfortable, including the pull-out, and particularly the queen on the bottom bunk. We need to find out the manufacturer- seriously! Plenty of towels and robes for the hot tub. Kitchen well stocked with spices (which we didn't use, but would appreciate during a longer stay), coffee, hot chocolate and tea! Also loved the entrance space for boots, jackets and helmets....and the heated floors!
I was a bit concerned about the large deposit required for booking; but Cassandra ensured we got it back a day after we checked out- very much appreciated! We hope to be back!

Fantastic location for skiing
We had a great time staying at this adorable property in Wilmington. It’s a great location for skiing and access to whiteface. The area is remote but within 20 minutes you can get to bustling and beautiful lake placid.

Thanksgiving Week
The family had a great time staying here. There were plenty of dishes/pans to accommodate our Thanksgiving meal preparation. The use of the washer and dryer was convenient and the hot tub was enjoyed by all.
It was a short walk to the chocolate store in Wilmington and several near by hiking trails that were good for kids ages 4,6 and 7. The slight hill in front worked perfectly for the kids cardboard sleds.
I expected the home to be a bit more remote. There were homes on both sides, but this did not detour us from having a great week.

Winter vacation
This is a lovely home in the adirondacks! We enjoyed a long weekend away with our infant son and family. The house is beautiful and well equipped. The hot tub was great! Location was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!
