Very good breakfast but a bit expensive, but was long week-end

Breakfast was delicious and the location perfect, just park the car and walk to everything we wanted

Although the facility was lovely, it presented some serious challenges. When we booked, we requested handicap parking as well as a room on the ground floor. After we booked, we received a message that that it was about 40 steps from the parking lot to the Inn. When we arrived, we drove around Perth for quite a while, unable to find the property. The address listed was for 18 Wilson Street West. We were unable to find the property and had to ask someone at a local business. They directed us to the property, which turned out to be at 18 Wilson Street East. We can’t believe that no one else has already reported this nor had it corrected on the advertising. The listing mentioned that “there is always someone at the desk” but there isn’t anyone there nor a front desk at The White House. The front doors were locked when we arrived but fortunately another guest coming out redirected us to go next door to the Best Western to register. Had the listing stated that they were part of and located next to the Best Western Hotel, we would have had more success with finding the property. I have mobility issues and can negotiate the few stairs into the building but to have to walk back and forth to register, go to breakfast, load and unload luggage wasn’t pleasant. Although the jacuzzi tub was lovely, the height of the tub entry wall made it impossible for someone with limited mobility to use the jacuzzi safely. The room was beautiful, the fireplace delightful and breakfast at the Best Western was good, although not the gourmet fare one expects from a bed and breakfast. However, Lily our waitress made us feel welcome and we did enjoy our meal. This trip was to celebrate my 70th birthday but with all the misleading information and physical roadblocks I was very disappointed and it spoiled our overnight getaway.

Location is amazing, close to downtown Perth shops and restaurants. We enjoyed supper at the Locks and breakfast was perfect. Will be back for a visit soon!

What a pleasure it was to stay at the cottage! It was a weekday, therefore we were all alone in the entire building. The location can not be better- one step to the park, one step to the chocolate factory. The facilities, cleanliness, coziness were amazing. Loved the fireplace and jacuzzi bath in our room. Staff and breakfast were also great. Special thanks for allowing us to check out late. Very happy with the stay.

I wish the price were lower for the weekdays.

Breakfast was terrific. Couldn’t be better! We also had dinner there: great setting and relaxed meal.

We liked everything and should’ve stayed for an extra night! Next time….
