We have just enjoyed a ten day break in the villa -- just the two of us so the second room wasn't used. Villa Azelea is a very pleasant, unoverlooked property on the outskirts of Playa Blanca. Approx half an hour walk (4 mins drive) to the Rubican Marina with all it's restaurants and bars. The heated pool was very nice. The property was well equipped with a range of kitchen equipment and a BBQ. Unfortunately when we arrived the house key was in it's place but the main gate key was missing. We called the manager and she immediately responded and came round with a spare key for us. She was very pleasant and helpful telling us all about the island and a few places to go to. We had a car for our entire stay which allowed us to travel all around the island which is spectacular with the volcanoes and nice little villages, especially in-land and away from the main tourist areas. I guess this is typical with other villas but we thought a small "welcome pack" would have been useful as the first thing we had to do was go out shopping. It would have been nice to have been able to make a cup of tea on arrival but this is a minor detail. We had a lovely time and would recommend it to others.

Really nicely presented. Pool cleaned regularly and towels/sheets changed. Has everything you need. Location great for us, 10 minutes to our favourite local bar and 15 from the marina. Walkable to playa Blanca too. Only tiny negative was the sofas need replacing. Lovely outdoor furniture and sun loungers with padding :-). Thank you Villa Azalea, we will book again!

We have stayed in numerous villas in this complex with another company but this villa had much more personal touches and equipment. Being on the end of a block you have so much outdoor space but not as windy as others on the end and outside equipment good quality and would be ideal if two couples stayed here as wouldn’t feel on top of each other. Gutted we haven’t booked here in March 2024 but will be first on our list when we book again. Excellent villa and great location , only issue is I wish we were still there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Azalea for a much needed break with the bonus of some excellent weather. The villa was clean, comfortable, well presented providing all that we required. The kitchen was well equipped with much more than just the bare minimum provided in many other villas we have stayed at. The area is nice and quiet on the outskirts of the town but within easy reach of the centre. The villa offers a good level of privacy and the outside furnishings were good. As per a previous review we did have the problem with the TV buffering making it unwatchable a few times. All in all, a very good villa and we are seriously considering a return in 2024.

We had a great time at the Villa everything you need is supplied. The pool was great, nice and warm but not too hot to cool you down. The bed was comfortable and plenty of wardrobe space. We did not use the kitchen for cooking although there were plenty of pots pans and utensils. The outdoor space was very private with no neighbours to the rear of the property. We did hire a car for convenience but Rubicon Marina was not too far away which is walkable. Everything was clean, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, bed linen, towels etc except for behind the tv probably the staff left that due to the internet system been there. The only thing in the lounge was the sofa could do with an update. Outside furniture was comfortable as were the loungers. The only criticism was it was hard to watch English tv due to the constant buffering. We did call the person dealing with this and tried everything but to no avail. Jenny called in the next day the villa manager on the day before we left and said it was better to watch catch up tv. She was very helpful. As we had no idea how to put catch up on the tv we did not bother been the last night. We would definitely come to this villa again.

The villa is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet and yet it is within walking distance of shops and the marina. And close to Playa Blanca with more shops and restaurants... The villa itself has everything you need - it was perfect!

The villa was absolutely delightful with its exquisite design and high quality amenities. I thoroughly enjoyed starting my mornings with the Krups coffee machine. The pool was flawless, and Raj diligently inspected it every few days. While some have mentioned the 20 minute walk, we found a short cut across the wasteland that made a significant difference. The Marina and Playa Blanca were stunning, and I highly recommend visiting the beautiful Playa Dorado beach. Overall, the holiday was incredibly enjoyable.

Villa Azalea was ideally situated in a quiet, secluded area, just a short distance from the popular Rubicon Marina. The accommodation was spotless and well equipped..The combination of sea air, sunshine and memory foam mattress, ensured a good night’s sleep. The owners, Liz & Mark ensured that we had all the necessary information to facilitate an uneventful stay. Thank you for sharing your home. Hope to visit again, in the not so distant future.

A wonderful week in Lanzarote. Just 2 of us so we hads LOTS of room. Lovely house, with great equipment, and lovely garden. I would stay here again.

The villa is exactly as described in the write up information. We had a fabulous holiday beds very comfortable with lovely linen and pillows. A couple of housekeeping things could be improved on, these being more than just 1 toilet roll to each bathroom, also more than a thimble full of washing up liquid and more than 1 dishwasher tablet for a weeks stay. The down stairs shower is very small. We did not have communication with the property manager however this is a required field, so it is an untrue account of my scoring .

Property was clean and tidy plus it was well located, but still needed a car. There's a local supermarket and marina near by. it is a gated community, but has issues with the personal gate and be aware of sliding gate. But other than that Villa was excellent

Villa was everything we expected, love this area as it’s so peaceful but not too far away from the marina. We did have a car as we like to drive around the island. It’s nice to take a 20 min walk to Marina then a taxi back. Villa was very clean with all home comforts. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your holiday home with us.

The Villa is comfortable, quiet and tidy. We enjoyed it a lot, mostly the outside, the garden, the very widely open view and the pool.

Easy process and enjoyed our stay

Property was lovely and in a really nice neighbourhood. About 15 mins walk to a supermarket and about 15 mins walk to the marina. A good 40 mins walk to pkaya blanca but because its mostly on the promenade was really lovely. Property was a good size fir the two if us. Pool wasnt massive but it was perfectly lovely and warm. Views were amazing. It was our first trip to lanzarote and we loved it. Would definitely be back and will definitely book this villa again.

The property was lovely. Location was fine for us as we didn’t mind the 20 minutes walk to the marina. There does seem to be a shortage of taxis at the moment, 40 minute wait on a couple of occasions from the marina taxi rank! Our pool was filthy by the end of the week. We rang the management company about it and they said someone had already cleaned it the day before, we were in all day but we never saw anyone. The broadband was pretty poor which interrupted the tv a couple of times. There is a number you can ring if there’s a problem and a very nice man answers and like the management company talks a great talk about how good they are but actually don’t come out and fix things. That said still enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

Villa Azalea, where do I start? The whole process from the moment we booked this villa was such an easy & enjoyable experience. Having stayed in many many Villas over the years, Villa Azalea is by far the most homely we have encountered. Clean, comfortable, fresh and of course as mentioned beforehand homely! The living area is lovely, however the character and layout of the outside space is where this villa went from a good villa to an amazing one! All spaces were more than adequate indoors and the balcony leading from the master bedroom was another huge attraction. Overall our experience could have been only improved by slightly better weather which in no way can be used to downscore this wonderful villa! We hope to return one day and would not hesitate in booking Azalea again!

Really enjoyed our stay at Villa Azalea. Very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing week. Very peaceful location and just a short taxi ride from the restaurants and bars of the marina or town centre. Would definitely stay again.

The villa was presented in excellent condition clean and well maintained. The view from the upper balcony for morning coffee or sundowners was fabulous. An easy walk to the Marina. Lovely warm pool enabled swimming everyday during our March stay.

All amenities were were very good, heated pool was an asset Taxi service was excellent from the villa. Had a problem in the upstairs bedroom window shutter which wouldn’t open. We showed the rep. When she came and said she would sort it on change over day.

Wonderful villa which is very nicely furnished 'home from home' and spotlessly clean. We had a great Christmas, warm sunny weather and we used the pool every day (temperature and cleanliness great). We enjoyed the upper terrace for breakfast and views of Fuertaventura in the distance. The comfy covered seating area by the pool is perfect for an afternoon snooze. We enjoyed our leisurely evening walks to the restaurants in the Marina.(We didn't hire a car). Thank you for providing a wonderful villa for a peaceful Christmas during the Covid pandemic.

Initial contact with the owner, Liz, was professional, informative and helpful. On that basis we booked with confidence and were not in any way disappointed. The information pack for arrival at the villa was comprehensive and left no questions unanswered. A welcome pack is available for a fee, but we would recommend a brief stop at a supermarket in Playa Blanca on the way to make sure you have the comforts and essentials which suit your individual tastes. The taxi driver could not have been more helpful in this respect. The house was immaculately clean on arrival, and the level of equipment throughout the property would match our own home experience. My wife for some reason thinks I should refer to the hairdryers provided which are powerful and well-equipped, and nothing like the puny articles often provided in hotel/villa accommodation. She also enjoyed the excellent shower pressures which made showering a pleasure. The photographs on the VRBO site suggest a comfortable and atmospheric outside space, and the actual experience lived up to the promise. A truly comfortable and relaxing experience throughout our stay. Aircon is available in the bedrooms and the living room using a coin-operated system. Although we did not require much use in September, we found it extremely effective and relatively inexpensive. The pool was sparkling and maintained at a comfortable temperature. Eddie “the pool guy” who visited two or three times during our stay, was a real gentleman and a veritable goldmine of advice and useful local knowledge. The provided TV package was exceptional and more or less matched our comprehensive Virgin package in the UK with all UK and Sky Sports channels. The local management agents answered our one minor issue quickly and professionally. Full marks to them. We noticed when we were reading reviews that people pay a great deal of attention to the distance from town? WE chose not to walk, but estimate 15 minutes to Marina Rubicon and a further 7 to 10 minutes to central Playa Blanca. Personally, we chose to make use of the excellent local taxi service which took us to Marina Rubicon for 4 Euros and to Playa for 5 Euros. Using the taxi number provided in the information pack, we found that taxis arrived at the entrance in the time it took us to lock up, set the alarm and walk 30 metres to the road. We would not hesitate to book Villa Azalea in the future.

This property is on a half-built gated estate at the very outskirts of the town. It is a 20 minute walk through a bleak area to the nearest shop or restaurant so a car is essential. We are reasonably fit and did the walk to and from Rubicon Marina in the evenings. We arrived in the middle of a severe sand storm. No welcome pack of provisions or any contact to check if we were OK. Thick sand was coating all outdoor furniture/patio and when we asked for this to be cleaned we were advised initially to do it all ourselves or pay extra for the cleaning service. All of our outside space was unusable. After some to and fro it was done but the customer care attitude was very different to that experienced by other guests in other local villas at this time. The villa was quiet at night and reasonably equipped . The pool is more of a plunge pool and was not very warm and remained full of sand for our stay. Being thoughtful and kind to your guests goes a long way in a competitive area such as here. There is a large choice of villas in the area and though we will come again it will not be to this villa which appears to be for sale now anyway.

What a fantastic villa!!! We were very reluctant to go home I must say, after what was 10 days of complete relaxation and fun during our stay in Playa Blanca. The villa was absolutely stunning - a real home from home, with everything we could have wished for! Very comfortable, clean and tidy. We didn't watch much TV, but there was every channel imaginable available. Impressed with the scrabble too! We didn't get to meet JAM services, as we were out when they called, however there were no issues at all. From booking with Liz, the communications and all of the directions etc, we couldn't have been happier as it's all been so easy, and as we were a little apprehensive about self catering (first time we've done this abroad!) I can't see us doing anything different in future now. Absolutely loved it!!!! We hired a car from the airport (would highly recommend AutoReisen! - no hassle) but you could just as easily get a taxi to the villa. You don't really need a car though, unless you're thinking of travelling the island. We love walking - fab in Playa Blanca along the prom. Villa only 10-15 min walk to the marina - great to walk off lunch or dinner! Many many thanks Liz and hopefully we'll be back very soon! 10/10!!!! Karen & Gary Stones

A beautiful villa. Spotlessly clean with everything we could want in terms of amenities. We have been to Playa Blanca twice before but have always stayed in hotels, it was lovely to come to a villa for a different experience and think our hotel days are well and truly over! The only reason we didn’t give a 5 star was because the next door neighbours dog barked constantly but after having spoken to Liz I am sure she will have this sorted out so wouldn’t let it put me off, when the dog wasn’t there it was fabulously peaceful and just what we wanted for our break. The pool was beautiful, although we didn’t have the sunniest weather when we were there, it was still very warm so lovely to be able to cool off. The company who manage the villa cane to clean the pool filters etc while we were there and were so helpful with any questions we had. Hopefully we will get a chance to visit again soon.

This is the second time we have been to Villa Azalea! We absolutely love it. The Villa itself is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The rooms are all tastefully decorated. The outdoor area is just amazing with comfortable seating areas and a heated swimming pool! We always hire a car as the Villa is about a 20 minute walk from the marina but you could easily get away without one. We caught the ferry over to Fuerteventura for lunch which was lovely. The beautiful beaches of Papagayo are very close by( not within walking distance though) there are plenty of supermarkets where you can purchase everything you need. Plenty of restaurants in the marina or in nearby Playa Blanca. Our favourite restaurant Casa Carlos is a 2 minute cab ride away and well worth a visit. Liz and Mark are always very efficient and will answer any questions you have. Booking is always simple and straight forward. We love this villa and it’s location and will be returning again next year!
