The setting was amazing. Very helpful and welcoming staff.
nothing. all was good.

This is superbly located across the way from Nelson’s Dockyard. From the Gunpowder Suites side the view is one of the best in Antigua.. the pool area is outstanding.
Nothing…. You just need to be really clear whether you’re booking Admiral’s Inn or the Gunpowder Suites. I wanted the latter but had booked the former and had to upgrade on arrival. They’re part of the same property. The Suites are expensive but well worth it for the location. Well appointed with excellent terraces. Best views are from the Junior Suites looking straight ahead. AC couldn’t quite cope with whole cottage but still very welcome. Mosquito nets also a good touch as needed. Food was mixed. Breakfast excellent. Lobster at dinner, overcooked and not hot. However, location compensates. Would rebook and Recommend.

Fantastic location and beautiful setting. Couldn't have asked for more. The beach nearby, the pool, everything is just gorgeous.
Prices are steep across the board.

A great hotel in a beautiful location. Nelson's Dockyard is a pretty magical place. The hotel has its own two great restaurants and is also close to the other restaurants and general buzz of English Harbour. The boat crossings to the swimming pool worked well. Friendly staff and a great holiday.
Nothing much.

We loved the location in Nelson’s Dockyard and the staff were incredible.
Nothing - everything was amazing.

Beautiful, peaceful setting. Loved staying by the pool and then hopping across to the restaurant by boat. The access to kayaks and paddle boards were a real bonus.
The breakfast added up, and the water in the filter in the room tasted a little odd. But generally it was a wonderful environment

The room was tiny you can stand touch hands two of us touch the walls! Bathroom you can only turn around in the place that your standing this room would be brilliant for children under 10
Staff the Boom bar the history stunning

The hotel and its localisation was delightful.
We had a room in a garden with a patio, the room was big enough, clean and if it wasn’t for the mosquitos we could have slept outside because the patio at night was really relaxing.
The staff was adorable and really helpful.
Both restaurants were amazing, and the highlight was the tiny boat trip to go or come back from the pool, mostly at sunset hours.

It is in a good location.
Hot water and flush did not work when I moved into the room.

English Harbour is such a unique place in the Caribbean; ideal ingredients for a successful hotel.
No complaints

Admiral's Inn was such a charming place to stay--they did a great job keeping the beautiful historic exterior and details of the building, while modernizing it to really feel comfortable and upscale. A great option for anyone looking for something more unique than the all-inclusive options.
I had a hillside room with a renovated bathroom. The staff was lovely and can help book activities and taxis. There is a little boat that shuttles between Admiral's, the pool area (amazing!) and Gunpowder suites just across the harbour, and Galleon beach, about 5 mins down the harbour. The two restaurants are pretty expensive, but unfortunately that is the case on much of the island. I enjoyed walking around the outdoor museum nearby, out to Fort Berkeley for panoramic views of the harbour and sea, and taking the ~1 mile trail signposted near the Fort for higher vantage points, plus goats! (Wear sneakers and sun protection, it's quite exposed and the rocks can be slippery.) You can walk into town for more restaurants and bars, but just be aware that during low season, many of the restaurants are fully closed!
Last tip for any tennis players, while it's not cheap ($45 taxi each way + $90 1hr lesson), Curtain Bluff resort offers tennis lessons for non-guests. Their courts are incredible, a stone's throw away from the beach, and I had a fantastic lesson with one of their pros, Sleepy. Highly reco.
The harbour has two main beaches nearby that I enjoyed--Galleon and Pigeon--however if you're looking to get to other beaches/spots outside of the harbour, it does require an expensive taxi (if you don't have a rental car).
Also one thing to note, not specific to the harbour: traveling in the low season (I went early June) really does mean low season. It is quite quiet (which can definitely be a good thing), but most restaurants and bars are closed for the summer, so finding food outside of the hotel can be tough, especially on weekdays.

Beautiful location, great facilities.
It was our honeymoon so was hoping for something extra special from the hotel but sadly nothing. I guess everyone is honeymooning in Antigua

rooms are small and beds are old. bathrooms could be more modern. no mosquito nets and cleaners left doors open.

It was unclear what the 'paid for' breakfast included.
The historical significance was not really explored. It was like staying in a chain hotel.

We loved the ambience and history of the hotel and the location was fantastic, we were within walking distance of some great restaurants, and used the location for a couple of great early morning hikes to pigeon beach and Shirley Heights (after being dropped by boat at Galleon Bay) which provided some great views of the island and the ocean. We loved relaxing in the afternoons in cabanas at Boom overlooking the dockyard! All in all a great experience!

The gunpowder suites are across the bay and are amazing. Close to the beautiful pool and Boom restaurant the location couldn’t be better!

The place is inside the UNESCO site with the museum and a nice little bakery, it has great restaurants and a very nice relaxing area next to the pool, overlooking the marina. The common areas are great to enjoy a drink, or just wait the hottest hours of the day out. The staff is very nice and helpful.
The location is great to explore the nearby area.
The room was a bit small.

Located very well within the English Harbour area. The room was small but to be expected in a historic period building, that said it was very clean well dressed with period features and the bed was very comfortable.
I've nothing negative to add

Superb location. Situated in historic ex-British naval Dockyard complex, dating back to 1700s. Good quality accommodation, full of character, catering, staff.

This is a beautiful Hotel with friendly staff. The rooms look out over the harbour in almost touching distance of the moored boats !
The resturant has a great menu and there is an infinity pool over the over side of the harbour (Short boat ride run by the Hotel)

Our assigned room was lovely and kept perfectly cleaned
The food was only just soso. We ate there twice. On e ordering 'fresh' Wahoo. tough and tasteless. It was removed from our bill. We ate lunch over at Boom. Gazpacho was 'off' There were not too any smiles around. We smiled, but very little coming back to us.

ideal for access to the harbour , literally 1 min walk to the front and Atlantic challenge rowers coming in , beautiful views across the bay from both sides , understated and has a small boutique feel on Admirals inn side
hotel split into 2 access via a small boat ( or walk the long way) not ideal for those wanting to cross to the pool who have disabilities

First of all, the hotel is very beautiful and has a sense of history! The environment is also very beautiful. This is undeniable.
But I had a very bad service experience, when we checked in, the front desk clerk asked a very rude question,:is this your father? Well well.My husband was very sad at that time. Another problem is very scary. More than a month after we left the hotel, the hotel charged my credit card for $34.72 without my consent! This is simply stealing, very bad, I hope the hotel can improve the service at the front desk.
