The breakfast was excellent.

The building itself is badly in need of refurbishment and bore little relationship to the picture on their website. The meals in the restaurant were OK but not excellent. They need to sound proof the wall between room 10 and 11. On the last night of our stay we could clearly hear the guest in room 11 ranting at someone on his phone for two hours.

Great location for exploring the area. Comfortable, quality accommodation, friendly helpful staff, great food and excellent beer. what's not to like? It's a country pub and delivered what I expected and more.

On arrival the Manager Liz was friendly & informative, and lovely with the children. Unfortunately we'd arrived a couple of hours early and as our room wasn't ready we decided to have lunch in the bar. There was an extensive menu, and the food was delicious, hot and fresh. Liz advised us when we could check in, and after a little walk up to the first floor and then another walk up a little staircase to the second floor our room was nestled on in the attic......and what a delightful little room it was too! The decor was modern and tasteful, and everything, including the bathroom was spotless. I was a little worried that we'd hear noise from the pub below, but there was no noise whatsoever, only the birds in the morning! What a brilliant little find. Would definitely stay again. Just lovely in every way!

Comfortable bed crisp cotton bedding. Very good breakfast and evening meals

No comfortable seating all the Pub/ hotel geared up for is people eating. Guests only had their rooms for seating comfort. Although basic cleaning done round the edges and windows needed a good clean.

Breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. The staff were friendly.

We booked a room which should have included Bath Robes but apparently the Hotel did not have any, I know that's nothing much but it is always nice to put a robe on after a shower whilst you chill before dressing to go out again. As the roof was slopping over the bed you could not sit up to watch TV or sit and talk but the room only had the one chair would have nice to have two chairs so we could both sit and talk, read etc.
