Hotel and room is very old. Breakfast is very bad.

A very impressive hotel with many original features. The many staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. The original elevator is impressive, but if you get the timing wrong, it can take a while for it to be available. We watched it go up and down several times before it stopped for us on the 3rd floor, when we were waiting to go up to the restaurant for our evening meal. The rooftop restaurant has good views of the coastline. Our room was large but a bit dark, as the shutters couldn't be accessed to let in more light. There were very few power sockets, and none that were really accessible. A simple extension lead with a mix of standard and usb sockets would have been welcomed. We didn't have the room cleaned (not needed in a 2 night stay imho) but we were still asked to rate the service that we hadn't actually used.

How the staff pampered us! How the guest relation checked by phone about our stay after check out. Apart from very minor things, it was excellent

It’s a beautiful heritage building overlooking the Mediterranean. Great location in Alexandria to walk, eat and shop. Loved the terrace restaurant!:)

They were renovating and paid bring lobby area. Our room smelled of oil paint, unfortunately. Thankfully this occurred on our last night stay at the hotel.

Beautifully decorated boutique hotel. Quiet room even though facing a very busy intersection. Comfortable bed. Adequate shower. Great service by all staff we encountered. Good selection of food for breakfast. The Sky View restaurant on the top floor is outstanding: in quality of service, portion size and taste, and views of the harbor.

Painting was being conducted in the lobby which made it unusable and a bit difficult to walk around. But the staff were so very helpful.

The rooms were very nice and bed was super comfy. Excellent location as well.

The noise outside from people and constant traffic. Our stay was during Ramadan so the noise level during evening was constant. Also, hotel is under renovation now so all I could smell was turpentine/oil paint. Not pleasant!

There was a beautiful sense of stepping into the past with such fascinating surroundings. The front staff especially the female front desk reception were so friendly and helpful showing such warmth especially Tanya . There was a beautiful view from the sky restaurant.

Breakfast was very nice, location was perfect to get to the sites, or a quick Uber drive.

Hotel is showing some wear, but as it’s a historic building it’s to be expected. We had a wonderful time.

i chose this hotel for the old European style. I was what I hoped it would be. A bit decay, a bit kitsch, but charming and possessing a soul.
