The bathroom is great, large and clean.

Location, room was comfortable and adequate for what we needed. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
The lift and having ‘stand back against the wall to prevent triggering the door alarm’ was not ideal. A notice in the lift to say we’d be charged for a call-out fee if we did trigger the door alarm was unreasonable. What if four people needed to get in the lift - which was relatively small - the space needed to fit us in risked triggering the thing. Do something about the lift for goodness sake. Or bear the consequences yourself, management, if a patron accidentally triggers it because they ‘stood too far forward’.

It had under cover parking and it has a spa
It was a small room and no room service the pillows were not very comfy. It’s on a very busy road

This is the worst interaction I have ever had with a hotel. The staff were rude and unhelpful and didn't call me back after me calling 8 times. I wasn't permitted to check in after hours and was not permitted to cancel the booking despite giving notice directly after being informed about the inability to check in after hours. I would not recommend staying here.

Beach two blocks away.
Our Unit backed onto major Train station, trains shutting late in the night and early morning.
Room dusty on spare bed plastic cover.
No knife for my toast in the morning.

Surprised there was no crockery or cutlery in the room, very basic amenities for the price.

Reception staff lovely, room was perfect for an overnight stay , bed and couch comfortable, bathroom big and spacious

TV dated … couldn’t get up and running.Foxtel…not many facilities in room by default. e.g. had to request wine glasses but not in room. horrible coffee !

I’m not familiar with Geelong, so area seemed fairly close to town/nightlife.
Friendly staff upon check in
A lady from Rydges hotel in Geelong called the Belmercer who stated on the phone they didn’t have any more available rooms, although I found 3 available on Booking.com which cost me an arm and a leg to book through them and not at all what I was expecting to pay.

Too noisy with traffic. Front rooms shouldn't get offered . Very poor hairdryer - did even get close to drying my hair.
