The staff is always attentive and helpful. Location very close to the colonial zone. The staff checked the availability of the room and kindly agreed to allow me to check in early.

The Wi-Fi connection is not the same quality throughout the room, which could be a problem if you spend all day outside.

the location

The person at the reception tried to rip me off, wanting to charge me twice for airport transfers that I had already paid for. It seems to me that the taxi driver was part of the scam. It was very unpleasant!

The location alone is phenomenal! It is literally in the heart of the Colonial Zone. About a 1 min walk from Columbus PArk (where are the pigeons are). The hotel staff are all very welcoming and very friendly, from the check in crew to the housekeeping crew. All are very nice and respectful. I've stayed here before and certainly plan on staying again in the future. I arrived pretty early like about 10am, which is way earlier than check in at 3pm. The lady at the front desk remembered me from my previous stay which was very nice and I wasn't expecting. I was accommodated and was able to check into my room at about 1130 which was very nice of them to do. When handing over the key to me she said that she was able to give me the same room as last time, which again, I can't believe she remembered the room too. That type of hospitality and service is what keeps me coming back. Now getting to the room. It's a pretty standard room. The beds and pillows are AMAZING!! I like hard mattresses and my friend likes softer mattresses, but we both raved about how each our beds were super comfortable. The bathroom is the only downside to this room, it's very small. I'm. 6'1 230lbs. It's maybe the size of a "red London telephone booth". I don't put this is the "what I didn't like" section because the hotel has no control over the size of their bathroom, its already there. There rooms were very clean. The AC is AMAZING! Very convenient location close to many restaurant and the Main Street. Another good thing about the rooms is that they're located in the back of the hotel, so you don't get any of the street noises. There is a very nice balcony that you can enjoy some coffee, food, or drinks on. I've stayed at a couple hotels in the Colonia zone but this one by far takes the cake, the location is literally everything!

Great hotel, cosy and clean, big comfortable bed. Helpful staff. The hotel is located right in the center of the colonial area but it's very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit Santo Domingo.

breakfast is served out of the hotel in shady restaurant (not stated in the booking). the breakfast itself was not good, the restaurant had very rude staff. 4 menus to select from (one worse than another). extremely tiny bathroom (shower 40x90 cm)
