From start to finish myself and husband came here for a last minute weekend break very lucky it was available. It's the most perfect location to everything. Helen and neil thanks for the lovely touch of your welcome pack . We walked to beach everyday it takes 15 mins approx then we headed down to the harbour in the evening and it's such a lovely spot . Loads of restaurants to pick from . Out fav was Atruim 53 gorgeous food . We most certainly be back

We have just had the privilege of spending 10 days in this beautiful apartment. This wasn't our first visit to Alvor, but was our first visit to the Solrio and we just didn't want to come home! Having stayed in Neil & Helen's accommodation before we had no doubt that this apartment would be just as good, well it topped the scales - everything you needed was provided and as soon as you walk in the door you feel like you are at home. We don't actually think the photo's on this site do it justice, the views are to die for and we loved the peace & quiet also. As others have already said, you can follow the sun (if you wish) on the balconies. We enjoyed a morning cuppa on the front balcony and the afternoon sun and the most amazing sunsets from the larger balcony at the rear of the property. Neil very kindly collected & returned us to the airport, and showed us how everything worked in the apartment (including instructions via text when we messed the tv up!) The essential provisions provided for us on arrival were really appreciated (as was Neil's recommendation to the little bakery just down the road, perfect for your morning pastries!) Thank you again Neil & Helen, we kind of wish you didn't have such a great apartment as it may be easier to find availability to return in the very near future! We have met Neil and Helen before and they were as friendly and professional as before. The small welcome pack was appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped. The whole apartment was spotlessly clean and very modern. It is great that the apartment has a balcony at the front and the back so both the morning and evening sun can be enjoyed. Great selection of TV channels for the children, catch-up TV also available. Wifi also available. There is a main pool, but also a separate children's pool. 4 sun beds for our private use were available by the pool. Fantastic apartment and complex....so quiet..just what we needed...so convenient for supermarket,shops and Restaurants ...Helen and Neil are the perfect hosts and are always on hand...welcome goodies were a nice touch...The apartment was spotless and very comfortable..We have stayed in Alvor on many occasions and Solrio is the best place by far...Thank you Helen and Neil...we will return !!

This is one of the nicest apartments we have ever stayed in. It is very well appointed with dual aspect balconies for following all day sun. The views across to the river are beautiful and it's hard to believe you are just a few minutes walk from the town. The nearest supermarket is a five minute walk, as is the nearest restaurant. The pool and garden area were very well maintained though we didn't use either; need to come back in the summer for that! If you are looking for home from home accommodation that is in a world of its own but with everything on the doorstep, look no further.

just back from another wonderful holiday in alvor. we stayed at the solrio. it was everything stated and more. the two balconies,gave you sun in the morning and a wonderful sunset. it had all that you needed for a special holiday. the supermarket is only a few minutes walk away and alvor centre can be reached in five minutes. the beach is also close by . Neil & Helen made sure everything was in place for our arrival even arranged transferesan extra nice touch was the milk,water and wine. a special place to stay

We have had many holidays in Alvor and watched these apartments being built. They are everything we expected and more. Breakfast on the front balcony in the morning sun and in the evening sipping a glass of wine while watching the sun set over the estuary on the main balcony (and the sunsets really are breathtaking). The apartment itself is stylish, modern and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Allocated sun beds made for relaxing afternoons around the pool. And Alvor is a gem of place, the beach stretches for miles, the boardwalk to a sandy little island is well worth a walk and then there is the harbour and the village itself. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs (big thumbs up for the Crows Nest). Away from the busy areas there are lots of beautiful traditional streets, squares and several churches, well worth exploring. The apartment is within 5 minutes to the main square and 2 minutes to a supermarket for all you might need. Helen and Neil were most welcoming and made sure we had all the information we needed. They really are a lovely couple. To be able to make a tea or coffee or have a glass of wine due to the provision they left for us was very thoughtful and much appreciated. I cannot recommend the apartment and Alvor highly enough. We Will be back!

When we arrived we were greeted by Neil and Helen who showed us around the beautiful apartment and were extremely welcoming and courteous, as had been the case in all my previous correspondence with them. The apartment is beautifully finished with all modern appliances and fittings but the pièce de résistance had to be the views from the 1st floor balcony at sunset, absolutely to die for! The apartment is less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of the village and ideally located near the large pingo doce supermarket which is great for stocking up on any essentials. Alvor itself is such a pretty village, sleepy during the day but a lovely buzz at night with loads of great bars and restaurants to choose from. We hope to be back again one day!!

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in beautiful Alvor. Warm welcome from Helen and Neil and introduced us to their beautiful apartment. The apartment was spotless, very spacious and fully equipped.It is in a perfect location, minutes from the supermarket, bars and restaurants.Just ten minutes walk to the beach. Car hire not necessary as transfer from the airport quite reasonable and you have everything you need on the doorstep! A small complex of just 30 apartments so nice and peaceful.Beautiful pool area with our own sun loungers.Alvor is beautiful not at all commercialised with some top restaurants and bars.We are returning very soon. Thanks Helen and Neil we had a fantastic holiday!!

We have visited Alvor several times but could never get availability for these apartments. Sucess this holiday and we were not disappointed. The apartment is superbly furnished and spotlessly clean, plus secure entry to apartment complex via codes at gate and doors. Two lovely balconies so you could follow the sun. Beautiful sunsets over the estuary from the back balcony. The pool looked inviting but didnt take the plunge. The added bonus was the garage for our hire car, English tv channels and wi fi. Thanks for the milk,water, wine in the fridge plus the tea and coffee. Under the sink there was dishwasher tablets and washing powder. The apartment is a short walk down to the village and harbour. Alvor is a beautiful place with superb restaurants, cafes and bars. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and will certainly return in the future. We have been visiting Alvor for a number of years, and have been fortunate enough to stay at Solrio for the last three years. The apartments really can't be beaten. They are modern and spacious, in a great location, close to all amenities and yet very quiet. Helen and Neil provide excellent customer service and are both friendly and professional.

What a lovely holiday we had at Helen and Neil's apartment. The apartment is very clean and has lovely furnishings. The location is brilliant, a quiet area with a 2 minute walk to the local supermarket and a 5 minute walk into the centre of Alvor. We sampled the local wines and restaurants - as you do - we could not recommend it enough! Thank you Helen and Neil for making our holiday, a holiday to remember!
