Great location, helpful and friendly staff

All good

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hospedaria Santa Maria and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and to recommend it warmly to fellow travellers. The bed was most comfortable, there was plenty of hanging and storage space, hot water available at all times in the en suite bathroom and excellent wi-fi connectivity. I liked the small balcony looking on to the street. The food served at the hotel restaurant, where I dined one evening, was very tasty and extremely reasonably-priced. I found the staff very pleasant and welcoming. The location is ideal. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the centre of the old town and less than ten to reach the main 'bus station. In terms of value for money, I doubt you'd find a better deal in Beja, the historic part of which is delightful to wander round.

There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like.

The location is perfect, with on-street parking easily available (free all weekend as a bonus). The room I had is beautiful: spotlessly clean, quality linen, great cable TV choices. And check-in is quick and easy. I'll definitely try to stay there again when I'm back in Beja in the next few weeks.

Watch out if you select the economy room! it is located just under the ceiling, above all the other rooms of the hotel, with VERY steep stairs to access it.
