The room is really modern and the location is great! Everything was clean and tidy.

the property was very run down and needed a good clean. on arrival we noted that curtains were missing from main bedroom (noticed owner by email and nothing happened but when called they fixed it immediately) however…also needs fixing…bed, bathroom tap, soap dispenser, mould in shower all walls needed cleaning, floor was filthy and we had to wash all saucepans before we could use them

Washing machine didn’t work, toilet door didn’t lock. Apartment hasn’t been cleaned for a while, old food in the ice box. Floor was dirty. No response to message about washing machine. Very noisy area.

The location was good. Also, check in was smooth. The apartment was spacious.

There were dead flies everywhere on the ceiling. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the apartment left questions. Plates were not clean and the bathroom could have been cleaner as well. This was disappointing.

the first place on arrival was grossly misrepresented. one small room with a double bed and a worktop with sink and oven at the end ,under the eaves reachable by a very dodgy narrow stairwell with wobbly and unsafe bannister,on the wall along the way plugs almost hanging off the wall. To be fair Laurent was helpful in trying to find another place but couldn’t accommodate the availability for the length of our stay.We accepted his offer which was at least could be described as a flat. We still had the same stairs situation (could someone check the evacuation scenario in case of fire!). The flat itself was very tired too ,broken wardrobe ,a washing machine inaccessible because of the way in was installed behind sliding doors and few other things along the way. By then we had already lost a day of our stay so we agreed to stay the night and sorting it out the next day. Another accommodation (the third!) was found down the road. In a little alley with work going on just outside(hammer drill excavating,digging as well as piles of detritus front of the door complete with drunks lying at night in the entrance.. we had to cut our cost as obviously we couldn’t get back our money .At least this one was spacious if not gloomy.Ironically, just as we were going to bed later that night we discovered a hole in the wall with a plug hanging from it .YOU COULDN ‘T MAKE IT UP!

Was difficult to find the appartment even when less than 100m away.

The noise, very noisy at night, workers don't respect sleep time

Location was good but noisy being in the centre. Some interesting characters in the area. Rest was very basic and in terrible conditions. Some disgusting surfaces, worried to touch or sit on. Not much to recommend, poor, poor, poor...

Disgusting places. Not cleaned properly - marks, smashed insects, yellow stains... Can't list it all! BAthroom stinks like fags... The staff completely ignored us as we complaint as the place led us to have allergic reactions on top of other issues... Booking not too bothered either... Not recommended at all. Pictures misleading, cost too high and staff is useless... Avoid and avoid again!!!

The traveler should be aware that that the apartment is situated on the 4th floor, which requires going up over 8 flights of stairs. The bathroom had issues with a clogged drain in shower and sink that required the undersigned to remove quite some hair and other waste from the drain to resolve the issue.

The location is absolutely excellent to enjoy this wonderful city, as everything is within walking distance. The beds were good and the apartment is very light. Entrance tot the apartment by code was simple.

The general condition of the entrance hall and the appartement should have been beter and I suspect the pictures are from when it was renovated. You can see that it has been wel used, it could therefore do with a small investment.

This was a lovely open and bright space for two working persons to stay for about 10 days. There was a workspace in the bedroon, so that one could work while the other was in the living space. I truly enjoyed the bright wide windows, with the ledge. You can sit on the ledges or use them as a coffee table when reading or other. The living space was large for an old European apartment. The view was wonderful, right out at an old church. We were on the 3rd floor (3rd from European perspective = 4 flights of stairs up, from the North American perspective.) So we were looking out at the roof of the church. Really nice, but also, extra private on that side. We had windows on two sides which was great. The location is superb. Effectively right across the street from Gare Lille Flandres but still facing the church. The old centre and the pedestrian shopping close by, and the large fortress park only a 20 min walk away. We truly enjoyed this space.

Be prepared for the noise at night. All train station areas will have people returning from parties and nights out. And if you prefer truly dark at night, you may want to bring an eye mask. So, there are stairs, and you need earplugs, and an eyemask. My only other comment was that the weather became unseasonably warm and we could have used a fan.

It’a well located, well designed and clear apart.

Some soap could be put also next to the sink. When I need to wash my hands, do I have to reach shower? It is not practical.

The bathroom was cute

Host did not forward information how to access the apartment (door codes) and was not reachable the whole afternoon/ evening under any given numbers including the emergency number or by email. I had to book another room in town for the first night. No apologies whatsoever were given by the host despite a very friendly employee handling the communication the day after.
