Stunning position with fantastic views of the ocean and Hermigua. One of the best places we have stayed - thank you.

Very comfortable, well equipped house with all the amenities required for a self-catering holiday on this magical island. The location had excellent views across the barranco to Hermigua and also to the Atlantic. You can walk to the SPAR supermarket in 10 minutes through the banana plantation if you want to pick up fresh bread in the morning. The outside space has sun-loungers and tables back and front if you want to follow the sun. 20 minutes drive takes you to most of the national park walks, but be sure to go to the visitor centre on the GM-1 beyond Agulo to pick up maps and info about walks. They were very informative and accurate. I would highly recommend this property and the Hermigua area which has a wide selection of restaurants nearby.

Wir haben 7 Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht und haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen! Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sauber und der Garten mit Meerblick wirklich traumhaft! Die Lage ist hervorragend um die Insel zu erwandern! Ein kleiner Einkaufstlp: Durch die Bananenplantage durch spazieren und gleich gegenüber ist ein relativ neuer kleiner aber feiner Bioladen mit einem sehr netten Besitzer ! Die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin hat bestens geklappt! Prima war auch die wöchentliche Reinigung des Hauses ! Wir werden sicher wieder nach La Gomera kommen und da für uns Hermigua der schönste Ort der Insel ist werden wir sicher wieder kommen!

Maison confortable, très propre et tres bien équipée. Tres jolie vue et jardin agreable lorsqu'il y a peu de vent. Pratique pour visiter l'est de la Gomerra- sortir de la vallée d'Hermigua prend du temps. Propriétaire accommodant et récupération des clés pratique. Un book avec pleins de conseils avisés vous y attend également.

Nous nous sommes sentis très à l’aise dans cette maison confortable. Nous avons apprécié la cuisine/salle-à-manger très bien équipée pour les repas du soir, la terrasse de l’ouest pour l’apéro et la terrasse à l’est pour le petit-déjeuner au soleil. De la maison, nous étions jamais lassé de la vue spectaculaire en direction des flancs montagneux entourant la vallée de Hermigua.

Perfect house

The chalet is fantastic. It is lovely furnished and well equipped. We missed nothing during our stay. The contact with the owner was always pleasant. Also the surrounding area is beautiful. The supermarket is within a short walking distance where you cross through a small banana plantation. In case we come back to La Gomera we will for sure check first if the chalet is available.

The property was well equipped and clean and no problems at all. The only minus was the lack of morning sun as we were on the shady side of Hermigua - this would not be a problem in summer as the sun is higher in the sky but it was the only complaint if you could call it that! Nice friendly eating places and very low key non- touristy village which is what we love.

We had three sublime weeks here and did not want to leave. As arranged we were met by the very pleasant Rosa who took us to the house and showed us around. Once, early in our stay, when we needed a little assistance, Ana responded via a text message within minutes. The spacious house is very comfortable and has everything needed for a perfect stay. It is in a peaceful location and feels very isolated. Because the location is so terrific for exploring this beautiful island by car, the only "problem" we had each day was deciding whether to go out or have a lazy day at the house! As we were so happy we had most evening meals at the house but we did have a couple of dinners at Restaurante 'El Faro' which is excellent. Other details meant that within hours we felt at home, for example the private, spacious parking and the excellent wifi (sitting room only). What more can I say, this house is not just good value, it really is special.

A lovely spacious detached bungalow with stunning views, some nice restaurants in the village and a lovely beach just a short drive from the house. We had a really wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

Three weeks holiday at La Gomera in Vista Mar Altozano: perfect! A beatiful island, lovely landscapes, beautiful villages, friendly people and good food. A comfortable holiday home, perfectly maintained and equiped, clean from top to bottom and at the best location you can imagine. In the middle of banana plantations with sea view and a view at the village which immerses you completely in La Gomera life. Absolutely a place to come back to in the future.

We can't fault the chalet or the area. The views are stunning and the area is somewhere you will remember long after your stay. The chalet was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and furniture. Everything was in place to ensure the holiday was top quality and restful, including the communication. One recommendation - use phone numbers, including mobile, as a means of communication rather than relying on email to confirm arrangements. We have a very poor internet reception where we live and the chalet was almost cancelled because we did not receive emails.

We stayed for 10 days with a family of 5 at the Casa Vista Mar in Altozano, Hermigua. The house is spacious and in a quiet location, but restaurants (El Faro, El Silbo, Telemaco) and supermarket (Spar) are in 10min walking distance just crossing the banana plantations with a short cut. There is another very nice restaurant "Las Chacaras" in the upper Hermigua valley. You can reach it within 30min just walking through Hermiguas lanes. We enjoyed all the outdoor space around the house which has seating on both sides to catch the sun morning and evening using also the hammocks. The kitchen and all other areas of the house are well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. A special Thanks also to Rosa Delia for her guidance and help. Hermigua is an ideal base to access any part of the island (especially Garajonay national park) by car with good roads and also by bus. We did some nice walks directly from the house (Agulo, El Cedro, Playa de la Caleta) and there are lot of opportunities to walk locally and access many in other areas. We definitely can recommend this house.

We enjoyed a lot at this house and the whole property , which were amazing! Gomera is beautiful, Hermigua is nice little village with some good restaurants and beautiful nature.

Lovely house in Hermigua with great views. Well furnished with all the mod cons needed to ensure a great stay. We had trouble getting English on the TV and the DVD player wouldn't work at all, but we were told it would be replaced soon. We tried not to waste water as asked, but found that we had to run the hot tap for what seemed like ages to get it to run hot, which was the only complaint. Roas was lovely and helpful. Would definately stay there again.

The whole stay was really nice. Rosa Delia gave us friendly explanation of all things we had to know. The house and the property are beautiful, with all the amenities, nice views, very clean. We will definitely come again!

We liked the house verry mutch. Nice garden,pergola, living room, bedrooms......we loved the view and the bars en restaurants nearby.

Our first trip to La Gomera was made all the more comfortable by staying at Casa Vista Mar in Altozano, Hermigua. A lovely setting in very spacious surroundings with helpful key holder, gardener and owner. A new TV and WIFI was installed while we were there. The house is in a very quiet location but has access to a nice local restaurant El Faro about 10 mins walk and a short cut through the banana plantations to the local Spar supermarket. Enjoyed all the outdoor space around the house which has seating on both sides to catch the sun morning and evening. Well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. An ideal base to access any part of the island by car with good roads but bus service also available in the village. We were there predominantly for a 2 week walking trip and there are opportunities to walk locally and access many in other areas. Would thoroughly recommend this house and hope to return again ourselves in the future.

The house was great. Much of space, very warm interior design. We really felt very comfortable. It is exactly as shown on the pics. The handover of the keys, the cleaning of the house and the paying itself went very smoothly. The contact with the owner was also warm. He really tries to make the staying nice and helps anywhere necessary. If your are looking for same quite time without much of tourism, this is just right.
