Great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Cottage is very spacious with lovely furnishings. It was exceptionally clean. Bathroom could do with an update but the rest of the cottage is beautiful. It’s situated in a great position just behind the high street of Stow.

Amber cottage was perfect for the 2 of us but would suit a family or 2 couples equally well. It was very clean and well set out, we largely ate out but there is everything you need to cook. I had worried about parking but no need it was fine just outside the cottage. The position of the cottage is fabulous! 5 minutes walk to the main square. A great break would definitely book again.

The cottage was very tidy and everything we needed was there for us. Obviously the owners have put alot of effort into making guests feel welcome including a lovely welcome gift. If you are looking to explore the Cotswolds this is a great base with most locations within 1/2 hr drive.

This place was fantastic! Our family of four really enjoyed having this cottage as our home base for exploring the Cotswolds. Wonderful to have our own parking and also spacious living and dining areas to relax together. The place is stylishly and thoughtfully decorated with amenities to make the stay so very comfortable. Also great being able to walk to the town center - wonderful shops and restaurants. We would stay again!

This was a perfect location to explore the Cotswolds and beyond. The cottage was only a few minute walk into the heart of Stow on the Wold but away from the traffic and noise. The cottage had everything we wanted to relax as well as cook when we didn't feel like going out to one of the many great restaurants. Steve and Nicala were great hosts and the welcome package of wine cake and coffee and milk was really appreciated.

House was comfortable in a great location. Did not receive check-in instructions until the day before and only after several requests for the to be provided. Everything worked out, but it would have been helpful to have the details provided much earlier, including owners contact information (email), phone numbers, and property address.

We came as a family of 3 and this was a perfect cosy cottage for us. Although a lovely size and set up for 4. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we booked and Steve and Nicala were really helpful throughout. We would definitely recommend. 😊�

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. The cottage is adorable, fantastic location and fabulous hosts! Steve and Nicala provided little extras most hosts don't. They replied immediately when contacted. Having come from 5 nights in London , this was perfect. Gorgeous village, lots of great places to eat and shop within minutes. Beautiful walking and bus access to nearby villages. Amber cottage was an important part of a very special trip!

We appreciated the extra touches- towels, bottle of wine, chocolate cake! We would stay there again.

Steve and Nicala have a wonderful cottage tucked away in a beautiful village. The first thing we noticed were the flowers next to the door, stepping inside only got better. The rooms are quite large with a very functional kitchen and private garden. Everything was spotless, fresh smelling, and comfortable! Entry into the bath is a little tight but not uncomfortably cramped by any means. The selection of shops and restaurants were great for our four night stay. Our host did a very nice job of making us feel welcome with with very clear information and a bottle of wine on the table! The location is perfect for exploring the wonderful area by bike and by foot! We never even moved our car during our stay, everything we needed was within easy walking distance and the quiet roads allowed easy cycling right from our door! Was a fantastic place to call home base while we toured. Everything you would ever need was available. Would strongly recommend Amber Cottage to anyone with no hesitation. Would have loved to visit with the owners but we were never around much for that opportunity so we could have personally told them how wonderful it was.

The cottage is very well situated and very well presented. Felt like a home from home. The cottage was well maintained and had all facilities/equipment that you would need on a self catering holiday. Would have had 5 stars if there was a garden rather than a patio however even with a dog it wasn't too much of an issue as all the other boxes were ticked. The owners were a pleasure to communicate with and very quick to respond to any small issues we had. On the doorstep of Bourton-on-water, and the Slaughters as well as being in a lovely town with various pubs/restuarants in walking distance. Within 20 mins of Broadway, Chipping Camden, and a little further both Stratford upon Avon and Cleeve Hill (highly recommended).

We had a wonderful time at Amber Cottage. Central but quiet, clean, comfortable, it had everything we needed. Thanks to the beautiful weather we were able to have all our meals outside on the patio. Nice walks in and around Stow, within easy reach to many beautiful locations in the Cotswolds. We will definitely recommend it!

This was the perfect rental for our family's needs. We wanted a place accessible to many walks on the public footpaths that was also walking distance to pubs. We also needed to accommodate 3 adults and 2 children. This fit the bill for all. Beyond our expectations was: how communicative and accessible via email Steve and Nicola were (always quick if not immediate response) and the place seems brand new. I will recommend this place for anyone wishing to visit the Cotswolds.

We (family of 4 adults) stayed here for 3 nights and everything about our stay was great. The cottage was perfect for our needs with everything we needed. Appreciated the welcome pack of milk, wine, tea, coffee, toiletries, etc. Lovely decor, quality fittings and all mod cons. The beds and bedding were really comfortable. Very quiet location with car park space outside. Short walk to Stow village square, restaurants, etc. Steve and Nicala provided lots of information and good communication before our visit. Would highly recommend this cottage! :-)

My family and I very much enjoyed our recent stay at Amber cottage. The property was in a very nice location, set off on a quiet road, yet just two minutes walk to Stow which is a lovely little town. It's also just up the road from Bourton on the water, which my kids loved. The restaurants were lovely and it has a shallow stream for the kids to paddle in. Also well worth a visit are upper and lower slaughter - just beautiful. The cottage was extremely well equipt with everything you need and Steve and Nicala were always on hand - also leaving a bottle of wine and various essentials which was a lovely touch. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. Excellent value and highly reccommended. Thank you Steve and Nicala.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Amber Cottage. On the inside, bedrooms were clean and neat and very comfortable. The shared upstairs bathroom was perfectly acceptable for use by 2 couples. Kitchen, dining room and sitting room spaces were also clean, neat and comfortable. A short 2 or 3 minute stroll will easily take you to the Stow town center. The location was perfect for shopping in and exploring Stow-on-the-wold, and for branching out to nearby sites such as Chipping Campden, Hidcote Gardens and Bourton-on-the-water. Parking at the cottage is a bit challenging, but if you can parallel park you'll have no problem parking aside the entrance. We had a slight mix up with obtaining the key at check in, but a short wait at the nearby Bell Inn and prompt response from Steve and Nicala turned a potential headache into a very manageable delay. Prior to booking, Steve was always quick to respond to my questions. The booking process itself was very smooth with all cost and logistics information clearly identified. We truly appreciated the bottle of wine and tea/coffee that greeted us upon arrival. My wife and I and her parents found Amber Cottage very relaxing after our day trip excursions, and enjoyed being able to rise for a leisurely self-made breakfast. This was a perfect setting for the 4 of us - no hesitation in recommending Amber Cottage to others.
