Nice and interesting place in the Negev. We were taken a very good care of. Our 2 year son loved the place, had a lot of fun with local kids and was reluctant to leave :-) It was a pleasure to meet Khalil and his family. Importantly, you can get diner there on Sabbath when you arrange it before hand. If you arrive in Israel on Friday evening as we did, that is something you will appreciate. Very good communication with the host. Excellent food.
A bit tricky to find the right house, particularly at night. Need wheels to get there.

Khalil and his family are very attentive people, who contacted us beforehand to make sure we would find everything all right and so they could prepare for our visit. We had dinner there which was homemade and delicious! Khalil sat with us and two other guests and we had a talk throughout dinner. His wife had cooked and we can highly recommend having dinner there as well! We also had to leave early for sunrise at Masada and they packed us breakfast. They are very kind and helpful hosts, but not intrusive whatsoever.
Thank you Khalil and family for having us!

The family was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Language was a bit of a problem for our hostess as we don't speak Arabic and her English is not so good, but we managed. We didn't arrange for a supper but our hostess provided us with delicious Bedouin tea and a very tasty Bedouin dish made of rice cooked in leaves. I'm sorry we didn't arrange for a supper.
We slept vey well on thick Bedouin mattresses with quilts.
The next morning we chatted to Khalil whose English is very good.
It was a great experience and we were served excellent Bedouin tea and a fantastic breakfast, most of which they make of grow themselves.
A signboard at the road and signs showing where to go would have helped. However, everyone was very friendly and the children were eager to show us where to go.
Khalil informed me that a new sign was being made.

A very unique accommodation in an unregistered village, unrecognized by the Israeli government. The host (and activist) Khalil is brilliant, he told us about ways to get by without relying on the government for basic services.
Great dinner for 90 JOD per person, cooked by Khalil's family and great breakfast as well. The place is not too far from Masada and Ein Gedi, so it's a nice stop on the way is you travelling around the country.

Our stay at Khan Alsira was a very nice experience for our family. We booked both the tent and the two-room apartment so that our group members had a choice in case the tent would be less comfortable. However, most of them preferred the tent. We had breakfast in the tent as well on the first day. Second day we had to leave very early to catch our flight but the owner prepared a take away breakfast for us that we could consume during the trip to the airport. The hospitality of the bedouin family was great. We also had dinner with them and tea and the owner told us a lot about their way of life and how they cope with all the constraints of having to take care for a lot of facilities like energy and waste collection themselves. The location is perfect for trips to destinations in the Negev or around the Dead Sea. Negev Camel Ranch is only 30 minutes away and Dead Sea around 45 minutes. We can absolutely recommend this place.

They welcome you into their home and family. It's Ramadan and they offered a delicious meal after sunset. Very open and listening to every opinion and beliefs of their guests and telling/informing about the traditions and history of their family and their country. Warm people

I & my boyfriend decided to be alone celebrating Christmas in a peaceful place outside a busy city & we found this place, and the owner Mr.Khalil & his family are so thoughtful & generous to all of his customers and very hands-on in everything, making sure you got all you need, your comfortable & the food it's fantastic, all his customers gather and eat together like a family, and great to know amazing people while we eat together, you got your kitchen in the room so you can cook if you want, the place is amazingly preserved & we are probably gonna come back again & again💚highly recomend🥰

We just needed a place to sleep on a road trip. We dont planned to get in contact with beduins an their culture. What luck we landed at Khalils home. For shy germans like us it is first a strange thing to turn in one of these small villages without asphalt at the street.
My advice: do it! Khalil and his family have two twobed rooms for you with a bathroom, a fridge and a pentry kitchen inside. ... And a van Gogh! You get original cafe (like it should taste). A great origin breakfast. And stories about the beduine live.
The cat from the neighbours have stolen my corned beef. But it was my fault.

Khalil and his family are wonderful hosts. All the services they provided were of the highest quality. Staying there really helps you understand the cultural and political aspects of Bedouin life. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious - we were able to taste a lot of local dishes with wonderful flavours. Khalil has shown us how he runs his property and how many inventions his family uses to live a sustainable life. The room was very well equipped and all the facilities exceeded our expectations.

Thanks to Google maps and to the excellent communication of the host via WhatsApp we took little time to find his house. Free parking without any problems right in front of the house. What a warm welcome although the host's daughter who showed us on to our flat didn't speak much English but was very kind. The flat was spacious, modern, quiet - a place where you can easily feel at home. Later the host came and we learnt much about Bedouin life, the history of his family, got recommendations for our evening walk around the village. What a unique first hand experience about a part of the Israelian population no travel guide book tells you about! The breakfast next morning was great, the friendly host' s wife was always around, asked for and fulfilled every wish we had. We (family from Germany) highly recommend it to every tourist and Israeli.

Super nice hosts, great breakfast and option for dinner. The village is really like a ghetto. I would not go there if we didn't have a booking there. The B&B itself is clean but very very basic. For us it was a great experience as we knew what to expect
The village, the location in the middle of nowhere. The mosquitos

A really unique experience with the family. You get to share meals with them (request in advance) like breakfast or a BBQ. Different food options available. Khalil and his sons made us feel very welcome, provide useful information about the area and their culture.
You can also choose to not engage with the hosts as accommodation is private, but you will miss out on a truly special time.
Nothing.

The owner is fantastic, careful, dedicated and likes to entertain people with his stories and Bedouin heritage. The Place is relaxing and calm. There is the essential for a backpacker. The breakfast is rich and pleasant
The pathway from the bus station to the village is rough and with no light

This is one of the best if not the best places in Israel, you must visit here if you want to experience all of Israel. This family not only represents the best of the beduin community but the best of the state of Israel. You will never meet a better family, stronger and friendlier community. The food was all handmade and he literally gave us the best part of his own home completely to ourself by ourselves. The experience is one of a kind with the best family I have ever met. please come here and enjoy you will not regret it. The views are also amazing.
nothing it was more than we ever thought we could ask for
