L’accueil a été agréable et à notre écoute. La literie et le mobilier sont de bonne qualité malgré la touche rétro du lieu.
Dans la salle de bain, la douche se prenait dans la baignoire et il n’y avait pas de système pour éviter les projections d’eau. Ni rideau ni paroi de protection.
La ventilation est très bruyante.

Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal für Skifahren und Wanderungen (Alfenzer Burgeralm) die man direkt vom Haus aus starten kann.
Ich hatte ein Zimmer im ersten Stock und vom Balkon hatte man einen herrlichen Blick auf die Berge.
Der Einrichtung des Zimmers und des Bades sieht man an, dass es schon etwas älter ist, aber da alles sehr sauber war, war das für mich kein Grund zur Beanstandung.
Im Restaurant des Hauses konnte man auch sehr gut essen (eine breite Auswahl Österreichischer Speisen). Beim Frühstück bekommt man alles was man braucht.
Alle Beschäftigten des Hauses, welche mir begegnet sind, waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Alfenz Kurort is a very nice small town and so is this hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice and helpful staff. Also the location is great, few steps from a supermarket or a bakery. The lift is about 1 km walk. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Basically nothing, there is a little bit weaker wifi signal, but we did not mind at all. We came to see some beautiful nature and mountains :)

Classic-style, slightly old but comfortable accommodation with a great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, although the selection was not very wide. The reason could be the time of our stay: we arrived off-season. On request, they are ready to prepare hot breakfast (e.g. ham & eggs or scrambled eggs). Overall, everything was fine, although the value for money ratio is not the best.
The equipment and furniture evoke the atmosphere of the 70s. This was not a problem for us because we were expecting it, but some pieces of furniture and equipment have apparently already served their time well and could use a replacement. This is especially true for worn and thinned floor carpets.

A little bit old fashioned, but very clean and pleasant hotel. Very good restaurant. Nice and hepful staff. Very comfortable beds.

Wonderful view, the location is perfect for hiking. Staff is very kind and helpful. Really dog friendly place. The hotel is cosy + oldschool and the atmosphere is lovely.
The bed and the mattress were really overused, and dissapointing. English leaflets would be welcomed.

For the bikers it’ s perfect place !!!!

I liked the fact the room was big; I loved to feel the floor warm in the Morning in the bathroom. I liked the fact the hotel is a building full of history and with personality.
The rooms need a Facelift and refurbishment - From Windows to the floors , being a familly property the investment can be a huge efort. Also the breakfast can be improved For sure.
But we are speaking of an old hotel with beautiful building in a village in Styria - I enjoyed staying here in the summer.

No Air Condition and no bugs screen at the balcony/window. It was really warm and lots of bugs and mosquitoes. The pillows are not very good either. The wait for the food at the restaurant was exceptionally long, the service very friendly though.

Unique rooms (there's about five of these unique apartments, each with their own name). Pet-friendly. Great garden with pool. Excellent full breakfast, with home-made omelette from farmers' eggs available. We took full pension and ate in the attached restaurant: highly recommended. A great destination for a carefree mini-vacation.
Hotel Post Karlon is a family hotel which has been in the family for almost 150 years. Steadily over their ownership special features have been added to the Hotel Post Karlon, whether it's special apartments or unique halls to the restaurant. The visitor experience is very rich, with much to enjoy and explore, whether in the restaurant or the garden with the private pool.
The welcome was excellent as well. We were allowed a generous late checkout which made our short séjour much more enjoyable
If you would like to enter a time machine and enjoy carefree and comfortable European hospitality of the 1970's, Aflenz Kurort is a wonderful place to visit and Hotel Post Karlon an exceptional place to stay.
I'm nitpicking: there's nothing we didn't like. Reception area is very dark. Corridors can be confusing until you figure them out.

Great little town close to the trails. Amazingly welcoming and friendly staff. Delicious food and drinks. Having the outdoor pool and garden area after a long hike was perfect.
The beds were not the most comfortable, but, they weren’t the worst.
