The panoramic mountain views from the garden and property are spectacular. The host is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is superb. Very private.

Some sharper knives or a knife sharpener would be beneficial

The challet and the surrounding is very picturesque. You can enjoy beautiful views at the cirque especially afternoons. You can get even a view at the Piton des Neiges from the bed in one bedroom. The kitchen and living space is big, you can even enjoy the fireplace inside. Lucien speaks some English. There are treks to Piton des Neiges, Palmistes and Cilaos starting from the village Bras Sec. There a small grocery store and regular bus service (every 2h) to Cilaos. The chalet was super clean. Is case you are cold during the night, there are electric radiators. There is a grill place in the garden and parking right next to the entrance.

Some dish cleaning detergent, cooking oil, soap and washing powder could be handy.
