Water too hot (old, stiff, separate hot/cold water taps) Room needed a little TLC (tv not straight on the wall, bath silicone peeling ) Poor lightning in the room. Had to keep curtains shut as people walking by

The owners and staff were exceptional. we couldn’t have asked for warmer and more attentive hosts. They welcomed us, our 2 young children and puppy with gusto, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. The room was perfect, a great size and very clean. The food was delicious, good portions, freshly cooked and very reasonably priced. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be in the heart of the High Peak. We couldn’t rate The Sycamore any higher, thanks for a great stay.

Staff, Food and location were fantastic

Beautiful countryside, excellent food at the Sycamore. Felt very relaxed and the staff were smashing.

The location was perfect and the restaurant/ bar was very cosy with great food. Huge bed which was very comfortable. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful- provided lots of information on where best to go in the area

Room was a little cold with limited control of heating and could hear through to other rooms easily.

Breakfast very good. Well cooked and good presentation.

Warm welcoming staff, great location, our dog felt as welcome as we did with such lovely owners and bar staff.

Great place to stay.

The location of the Inn was lovely. There was great communication from Sammy and we were upgraded to a bigger room due to a cancellation. Staff at the venue were very nice and helpful. the room was very clean and did just the job for what we needed. We also ate and the food was very good.

Booking.com did not mention charge for pet though this wasn't a problem when advised. It wasn't possible to include Breakfast when booking. Both of these problems were an error by Booking.com.

We were only there briefly but it was well kept, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and quaint. The bed was comfortable.

Lovely and cosy room. The breakfast was fantastic quality, food in the restaurant also lovely. Some great walks to do straight from the hotel door and other nice places to visit a short drive away. Hotel owners and staff were very attentive and made sure our stay was comfortable!

Breakfast was good although a little expensive, the location was great for walking from the doorstep. The Sycamore has their own leaflet with 3 walks starting from the doorstep, it was a really useful guide.

I thought the cost per night for the dog was high, compared to other places I've visited recently.
