This was the most spectacular breakfast buffet we had in the Greek Islands. Mama Sophia bakes delicious Greek Spinach and cheese pies, cakes, delicious omlettes, amazing selection of homemade food, beverages, fruit salad, greek salads and the staff treats the guests like Greek Gods and Goddesses. This is a family run hotel and the love and care the take in looking after the guests and property really shows. The downstairs spa area is a rejuvenating after days of hiking, driving and sightseeing. The staff couldn't be anymore helpful with suggestions and directions to help you explore Naxos Island. Bravo!

If hospitality had a synonym it would be Grotta. A service level we never experienced : car rental done in 2 minutes, awesome breakfast, always a treat in the room. Perfect.

This was a wonderful hotel, the team were so helpful with everything, nothing was too much trouble. The location was great, a few minutes walk from the centre of the town and overlooking the Apollo Temple and glorious sunsets. A fantastic breakfast and transfers to and from the ferry was included. The description of the hotel doesn’t do it justice. It is beyond expectations.

Their photos didn't lie, rooms and facilities were THAT wonderful. Sunset view from our room. Welcome drinks and pie. Fantastic hospitality. Fantastic breakfast, authentic and hearty. Jacuzzi, heated swimming pool. Also women managed, most staff were women (and they were all mega-kind). Hair dryer was right, lighting was also perfect to do make up. Balcony was perfectly situated. Excellent value for money, exceeded my expectations.

Please have more online presence. If I knew this hotel was that amazing, I could choose to stay longer.

The breakfast was spectacular. The views were amazing. It was quiet, safe, and just a short 5-7 min walk from town. What stands out the most is the customer service. They are the kindest, sweetest, most helpful staff ever! When I return to Naxos, I will ONLY stay at Hotel Grotta! Thank you all for making my first time in Greece such a memorable one!

The power went out for the entire city one night which was totally out of their control. The staff still found a way to be so kind. They brought water and beverages, opened the patio for me to sit until the power came on, and stayed up at the hotel until it was fixed! Such great customer service!

The staff were all amazing - Dimitris, Nikoletta, George, Sophia, Marine, Penny and Vaggelis - you went way beyond what was required - so super friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and the hotel is modern with beautiful views and close to the ferry, buses and main strip of shops. The breakfast was nothing short of exceptional, trying hard not to overeat because there was such a variety of the most delicious foods. What a treat to enjoy a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi too!! Nothing was too much of a problem and other guests also made such positive comments and that we would all return one day to the Grotta Hotel.

Hotel Grotta has without doubt got one of the best views of Naxos. From our spacious balcony we could see a 180 degree view of the town centre (Chora), Portara - a key monument attraction and the beautiful Aegean sea. The room itself was spotlessly clean with a lovely minimalistic-style decor and all usual amenities including a small fridge, toiletries, hair dryer and a safe in the cupboard. Apart from the view, Hotel Grotta's unique selling point is definitely their very generous, special and unique breakfast offering, which is undoubtedly the best we've come across. In addition to the usual continental options, a huge variety of cakes, desserts, pies (both savoury and sweet) and traditional Greek dishes are made available. Their hospitality is incomparable. People make places, and that's true of Hotel Grotta. Each member of staff came across as friendly, helpful and happy! The staff are personable and their approach to making guests feel comfortable is truly unique. They even offer a welcome drink and a pie as soon as you arrive, which is another nice touch. Free taxi drop-off to the port was much appreciated! We will be returning to Naxos several times in the years to come and have found the perfect base to stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff, in particular Marine who speaks so many languages and provides very good local advice. Rooms are not huge but very nice and well equipped. Nice little terrace with sea view. Very good location with view over the city, the Apollo temple, and easy to reach the town center. Great home-made breakfast. Pleasant spa ! Overall great value for money and very pleasant stay overall.

Very good water pressure in the shower. Nice hot tub jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna in the lower floor. Best breakfasts buffet everyday!

It would help if there is a door or something to seal the shower so water won’t be splattered on the floor when I showered.

The best breakfast in the world and the friendliest, kindest, most accommodating staff. Beautiful view from our balcony and the main lounge/dining area. Highly, highly recommend. Five stars!!!!!!

This place was amazing! It started from the time we booked until we checked out. The staff made us feel like family. They welcomed us as we walked in with a drink and Mama's Pie (delicious!) they were so friendly and helpful explaining everything. As soon as our room was ready we were taken to the room where our luggage was already waiting along with a treat of yummy cake. We were told not to forget about going to the free breakfast. Boy am I glad we listened and went. I have never seen such a beautiful and tasty spread at a free hotel breakfast. Everything was homemade and there was such a great variety and probably over 75 choices, Needless to say my daughter and I made sure we went to breakfast every morning before starting our day. We never ate lunch because we were full from breakfast. Truly and amazing breakfast. Location is perfect. You can literally take the back trail for about a 5 minute walk and you are in Old Town Naxos where there is history, shopping, eating etc! The hotel also has a roof top area. My daughter and I got a bottle of wine and went to the rooftop to watch the sunset overlooking the Temple of Apollo. If you go to Naxos this is definitely the place to stay. Great location, nice rooms with comfy beds, an amazing sunset view, wonderful and delicious breakfast but most of all an amazing staff that treats you like family!
