Breakfasts were excellent. Hot food freshly prepared to order and a high-quality buffet.

The hotel is in a great location in the old town. The room was spacious and everything was spotlessly clean. We had a meal on our first night and the food was excellent. Breakfast was great too with a good selection of rolls, cereals, eggs, yoghurts and fresh fruit. Very good coffee too. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

We stayed 3 nights and were treated to superb, professional customer service. Fabulous location in walking distance to key Lindau attractions but not in the main "tourist" area. The on-site restaurant is absolutely fabulous for dinner and the 'included' breakfast was just wonderful. We were driving a hire car - so parking was going to be a concern - but after dropping off our luggage in front of the hotel, the (very safe) public car park is only a 5 minute walk away. Rooms seem to have been recently refurbished and have plenty of space, with great amenities like safe and fridge. Overall couldn't fault it and would highly recommend it as a venue to stay.

Very good quality, beautiful room, 1 minute from the lake, approx 10 minutes walk with luggage to Lindau Insel train station and 25/30 minutes to the other station.

The staff at Alte Post are friendly and attentive. Our room was comfortable and allowed us to relax. The food is great, both the breakfast and the meals at the restaurant. The Hotel is in a great location on the island and is within walking distance of the train station and harbour. It also has a bus stop right outside the front door.

It is difficult to fault Alte Post in any way at all and my wife and I will definitely be back.

The position of the hotel is in the down town and close to the lake, very clean and confortable room. The hotel has a very good restaurant completelly full in the evening (advance booking is recommended) A public car parking is close to the hotel with very convenient rate for overnight stay.

Room was cold when arrived, but get warm quite fast

The location was great - right in the downtown area in Lindau. The room was nice and comfortable, and had everything that I would have expected.

The woman who checked us in (I think it was the owner/manager) was actually pretty rude. She wanted to see all of my documentation immediately and wouldn't engage in a conversation or let me leave my bags to the side while I went to get it all. One of the mornings when I arrived for breakfast, she accused me of already having eaten breakfast. She singlehandedly really brought down the quality of the experience.

Room was nice,good size and looked newly refurbished as did the hotel generally. Great location. Staff friendly and breakfast was very good.

Access is tricky by car so you have to park in a nearby car park overnight at extra cost.

Staff was very welcoming, we checked in late after kitchen was already closed but got a dinner offered anyways. Property is located right on Lindau Island and equipped with a common sun deck
