Well located on a quiet residential street. It's about a 15 minute walk to the bus station with lots of shops along the way. Room was nice, clean, bathroom was very clean; bed was comfortable, lots of closet space. There is a common outdoor space with sitting area right outside of the room. There were no guests out there during my stay, so no problem with noise. Considering the prices of accommodations in Santa Cruz (ie: expensive) i thought this place offered good value considering the location and comfort. The man at the front desk, the cleaning lady, and Luna the dog were all nice and helpful. Pro tip: Yes, you can Uber to the vineyards, but you might not be able to get one on the way back. Best to organize a return ride in advance, so you don't end up paying 10K (double the price) to get back to town like i did. :-/

The blinds in the room did not quite meet in the middle, and did not extend all the way on one side, so complete privacy was not possible.

The kitchen/bbq area and the outdoor patio area was very refreshing when we returned home to the accommodation each day. The bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked like a charm on the hot days there. The host was able to arrange us a driver to go to and from Vina Santa Cruz upon our arrival, and she also helped us find bike rentals. Bathroom was amazing, and the bed was super comfy. Stay here!

A quiet place just off the plaza that attracts pretty cool guests. The staff had excellent and informed decisions about travel in the immediate area and onward. Use of the kitchen was allowed, but the provided breakfast was above par.

Fully equipped and stocked kitchen. Breakfast provided — cook your own eggs, toast, cheese and breakfast cereals and beverages provided. Rooms with great linens, superb host support for local wineries and transport. Clean and beautiful facility.

Great hostel, perfect for access to the vineyards of Santa Cruz. It is 10-15 min walk from the bus station and you can hire bikes next door. We appreciated the use of the kitchen and outside deck area.

Our room had limited ventilation as there was no outdoor window. We also had some trouble communicating about check out.

Good value accommodation close to the town centre. Staff friendly and helpful, good self-serve breakfast and laundry service available. Bikes can be hired from hostel next door to visit the wineries. Also a very cute dog, Luna :)

Good location close to everything, the rooms were a good size, the kitchen was very well equipped to cook your own meals and breakfast was delicious. most importantly the patio is spacious and even has a parilla. Would come again!

Great location, walkable to town and even the excellent Laura Hartwig winery. Very relaxed, nice garden to sit in. We had en suite bedroom.

The only slight thing is that the main outdoor eating area is for smokers, not so great if you don't smoke but not a big issue.

I liked the fact that it was like staying in someone’s house . free to use the kitchen and the beds were so comfortable

Located just blocks from the main square of town. we had the only full suite which opened onto a great garden area where we spent down time. Breakfast was self serve when you were ready. Good location to go out and explore valley wineries. Took less than 2 hours to reach from Santiago airport.

We've been in Chile for one month so far and this is by far the nicest hostel we've stayed in. Everything is pretty much perfect: comfortable rooms and beds; a beautiful lounge and large garden area; and a well equipped, shared kitchen that you are free to use as often as you like. I love the way they look after breakfast for guests: the tables are set for each of their guests in the morning, and everyone can just help themselves to all the breakfast food that is available in the well-stocked kitchen. It feels like being at home. -- This is really a lovely place in every way. Thank you all!

It's hard to rate a hostal as a 10, because it's a hostal. Having said that, we found the place very comfortable and inviting. It was quiet at night, the bed comfortable and it's perfect walking distance from the square. Juan reached out to us early in the day to see how we were doing and welcomed us warmly. We don't eat breakfast, so can't comment on it other than to say that it was out and waiting when we awoke.

It didn't include steak and lobster? It exceeded our expectations, so there's not much more to tell?
