A lovely place to spend a few days discovering the area and relaxing.

A beautiful house with everything one requires for a great stay. Situated in a very quiet group of houses.
The pool is lovely to come back to after a day travelling around the so many great places to visit in the area.
The markets are great Thursday and Sunday, but Sunday market was our favorite.
Town is a short 10 minute walk away.
A big supermarket is one minutes drive from the house.
All in all we would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay at L'Isle sur la Sorgue.

We found our second stay just as relaxing as last time. The house, the garden and the pool - we enjoyed every day. The communication with the owner William was easy and Elayne could always be contacted for help, when needed. L'isle has become one of our favourite places.

Alles bestens

very convenient house
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is tiny, but very comfortable and lovely decorated. The surrounding was calm. The house is perfect situated, near to the rivers and near to the city center. The check-in and check-out was so smooth and easy, thanks to Elayne.

A nice house in a quiet place - only sounds are from the birds in the garden.
It is a very nice house - recently renovated and well equipped.
It was very clean when we took over and the welcoming-procedure went very smoothly with friendly Elayne.
We found it extremely convenient that there was such a nice dining-area outside.
Plenty of room for the four of us - and with two separate toilets no one has to wait:) A very nice bathroom as well.
It is close to the towncenter - only 10 min walk alongside the beautiful river. Our two teenageboys were safe to go to town alone - also afterhours.
We have had a great vacation and found the owner very flexible and would recommend this house.

Excellent!
Very good communication with the landlord William and in place with Elayne. Very good accomodation. Well equipted. Perfect location and a great pool. We have visited L’isle sur le Sourge a couple of times and we love it! So we recommend both the city and this excellent accomodation

Even better second time around!
This was our second stay in this fabulous house, and we loved it even more this time around. Now that the pool is heated, it's just perfect! We had everything we needed for a really enjoyable stay, from comfortable beds to a well-equipped kitchen, as well as a lovely shady area to eat, drink and play games. We're already planning our next trip.

Very clean and comfortable. Well equiped and larger than it looks from the pictures
Good location-a few minutes walk to a couple of nearby restaurants, or a leisurely 20 min walk to the town centre.
French people here are very friendly, welcoming and polite.
Recommend you take insect repellent as closeness to river means there are lots of mosquitos in the evenings. Also take a small torch so that drivers can see you walking down the unlit roads after dark.
We would definitely go back to this area. The town is stunning and offers a wide range of restaurants.

Fabulous Holiday Home and Best Hosts
We absolutely loved our stay at this holiday home in beautiful I'lsle sur la Sorgue. The location is wonderful with only a short walk into the centre of this gorgeous village. What made our stay so special was the fact that the home was truly like a 'home away from home' with many extra features and attention to detail for guests. The home has a lovely outdoor area with pool and Alfresco dining space (very relaxing) and we appreciated the Netflix, DVD's and Board Games for the family. We really didn't want to leave and would definitely recommend this home for anyone wanting a truly French holiday with so many places to visit and see nearby. Brocante markets, retaurants, the best ice-cream shop (Isabellas) - thank you so much to our hosts, William and Melissa Bagwell and team!

Superb Accommodation In A Lovely Area
The property is just as described although I do feel that the pictures don't really do it justice! It is much better in real life. The house is very spacious and equipped with good quality items. It is on a small development of 12 houses but very private - you are not overlooked in the pool area which was great.
The centre of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is only a 15 minute walk away alongside the river and is a lovely walk in the early evening. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and local markets on Thursday and Sunday.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your property - we will recommend it to our friends.

A comfortable and pretty home with a lovely yard very convenient to town and country
This was the perfect home to return to after a day of exploring the town and the region by foot or by car. It was comfortable, quiet, nicely decorated and well furnished with amenities such as guide books and a gas grill. The lovely yard and garden with a small pool were much appreciated. There is a beautiful park nearby and we could follow the short river path into the magical little town. We will treasure memories of our time in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

Another lovely visit
Having been a few times, we wanted to say how much we have continued enjoy this house, L’Isle-sur-La Sorgue and the region. For us, the house is perfectly positioned, walking distance to the town but with views from the back to the Vaucluse Plateau, giving it an open and rural feel as well.
The house is well maintained, comfortable and attractively furnished and the tiled floors keep the downstairs cool in hot weather. Because it is used extensively by the owners as a holiday home, it feels warmer than rented property. The garden is just right with choice of sun or shade and the garden furniture improved by the addition this year of sun loungers. It is easy to spend the whole day at home reading, playing games, swimming and just chilling.
We love the town and the ability to walk to the market, shops, bars and restaurants, along the river.
There is so much to do in the area that we have never been short of outings. This time, we went to Marseille and want to go back, the Pont du Gard, which is stunning, the Harmas Jean-Henri Fabre just north east of Orange (a garden designed in the 19th century to encourage insects so the owner could study them). Aix-en-Provence is a must visit town with the refurbished Caumont Centre d’Art, which has a major annual exhibition, this year, of the paintings of the Impressionist Alfred Sisley, but in previous years Canaletto and JMW Turner. Our last outing was to the Camargue, the Reserve Naturel du Vigeurat where you can walk in the marsh mainly on boardwalks.
All in all another fantastic holiday.

Lovely, well-appointed home in beautiful quintessential Provence town
We are a group of 5 adults and were delighted with the situation, facilities and views from this property. It is all as advertised, and there is plenty to do in this pretty island town and environs. Had we visited in high summer we would no doubt have accessed the pool (which is unheated) but it was rather chilly - with the Mistral blowing and bringing some dust into the house (which we could have prevented by better use of the shutters).
The neighbourhood is friendly, safe and very close to a beautiful river walk (by clean, clear waters from the spring in nearby Fontaine). A nearby supermarket is reached along an iconic country road with old farm buildings and cypress trees set against the backdrop of the Luberon limestone mountains (Mont Ventoux being visible at various points). We used the BBQ several times, found the books and videos provided matched our taste and loved the twice weekly markets in this capital of Provence antique centres (with its numerous waterwheels and fascinating industrial history). We'd love to visit again - but might come earlier in the year and request feather-free pillows and bedding - as allergies were troublesome. Thank you so much for a very special holiday at an economic price!

Very nice house. Recommended.
The house corresponds with the presentation on HomeAway.
We had a very nice vacation at this place.
The positive aspects :
Nice house, it was clean. Bathroom with nice shower and always hot water.
Calm area. The garden is enclosed and big enough.
Nice place to eat outside and an outdoor salon to enjoy the apero.
A good weber gas barbecue was present ( I have the same at home :-) ) which was a big plus and much cleaner than the typical greasy bbq that you find at most gites.
A second fridge to keep drinks cold, near the outdoor table.
The owner allowed us to choose start and end dates other than Saturday, so we avoided heavy traffic. Thanks for that !
Someone came to the house to welcome us and also at departure. Very friendly.
We did some nice excursions in the area like Roussillon, Fontaine de Vaucluse and the Camargue.
We stayed with a family of 4 so both my daughters could have their own room.
Some potential improvements :
The beds are OK, but not super.
The swimming pool is not heated and not covered. I'd prefer the water to be a bit warmer. A small solar panel could make the pool much more enjoyable.
There are only 4 chairs outside and 4 places in the outdoor salon. This was good enough for us, but could be insufficient for bigger families. The same remark applies on the single bathroom for 3 rooms.
A better quality outdoor sunbed would be a nice plus.
All together a very nice place for a reasonable price.

A delightful find!
We had a fabulous time and the house was perfect. Very well equipped and relaxing and comfortable. The pool was divine and actually bigger than the photographs suggested. The village is gorgeous and the surrounding area offers so much. Thank you to Elayne for being so attentive.

Lovely house in a beautiful town.
This was or first visit to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, and it certainly won't be our last. The town is so pretty, and the house is conveniently located just a gentle 10-15 minute stroll away along the river. The house itself is set in a quiet and pretty development, and the back garden is almost entirely secluded. The owners have made sure that the house is well-equipped and comfortable, as well as being spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed for a thoroughly enjoyable stay, and we had a really relaxing time reading under the shady awning or lounging about by the pool. As lovers of ancient history, we chose this location because of its proximity to major Roman sites, all of which are within an hour's easy driving away. Don't miss the museum in Arles, which has some fantastic exhibits. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue itself is a charming town, full of lovely canals and waterways, restaurants and little shops. The people are very friendly and we had a warm welcome everywhere. We really can't recommend it highly enough, and we can't wait to go back again!

Isle Sur La Sorges Paradise
The house was spacious, clean and lived up to the owners description in every way. It is situated in a beautiful and quiet area of the town and the domestics were professionally carried out. Made to feel very welcomed. Lovely pool. Enjoyable walk to the bakers, where petit dejeuner is available if desired. The town is a short walk and is served by many eating places and wonderful market. There are 2 restaurants/cafe within a few hundred yards by the picturesque Parting of the Waters.
We were a party of 5 adults and we would have no hesitation in recommending this property. We hope to return ourselves.

Very comfortable house
We really enjoyed ourselves here. We flew to Marseille and hired a car and the drive was an easy drive, just over an hour mainly on autoroutes. We'd briefly visited the town before and liked its fabulous markets, bars and restaurants, these can be reached along the river which is crystal clear and a pleasant 15 minute walk. We were pleased with the house as the pictures don't do it justice. It is a modern house (we have stayed in old, spider infested Gites before), which is tastefully decorated with a French feel and it was more spacious than it looked in the pictures. Room for two cars was handy as two of the party came and hired a car separately. The facilities are excellent with a dishwasher, cooker, washing machine, two large sinks, good TV, wet room type shower, fans, plenty of plug sockets, both sun and shade in the garden and the pool is a good size and very welcoming when it was hot. The moveable canopy over the back also helped shade the house while still keeping it light. We were really well placed to visit the area but there is more to do. We played games in the evening (there are plenty of games in the house and DVDs) which provided great family time. All in all this was a great family holiday and we would definitely go back.

Excellent property
Having visited twice in 2014, first in Midsummer for a week and then in late September for two, we did a lot in the area and used the property to the full.
The house is a very pleasant, modern house in a quiet close, ten minutes’ walk along the river to the town, and with a boulangerie even closer. Super U (and Monsieur Bric, for those of us who like looking at other culture’s ironmongery and power tools!) are also within easy walking distance, though both, of course, have large car parks for filling up with the large “shops” that holidays dictate. The town itself has a good range of shops, a brilliant Sunday market, and, of course, antiques coming out of its ears. L’Isle-sur-la-Sourgue is also well stocked with restaurants, cafes and bars, all within easy walking distance, so no worries about breathalysers. At midsummer itself, there is a great festival with lots of music in the town’s squares as the evening draws on, and people everywhere.
The house was cool in the June heat, with its tiled floors, and comfortable as the autumn arrived. We used the pool during both visits and welcomed its cooling effect in the sunshine and the briskness of exercise later in the year! The beds are comfortable and the house is well furnished with everything we needed. The garden is pleasant to sit in, and there is plenty of room for both the sun-lovers and those who need the shade. Eating out of doors was the norm.
Although you can easily get to the Town by train We flew to Marseilles and hired a car (last year, Europcar seemed to have the longest queues, but that may just have been when we went), which meant that we could explore the area – and we will be going back to do more. It is just over an hour from the airport, an easy drive. We went riding in the Carmargue, and in the Alpilles, shopping in Avignon and Salon de Provence, birdwatching near Merindol, exploring and eating in Arles and Apt, round the hairpin bends on Mont Ventoux, marvelling at the Roman ruins in Vaison-les Romaines, and to numerous other places, near and far. This property is well situated to get a real feel for this area of France, so we would recommend getting the best maps from IGN. We will be using ours when we return in June 2015 to explore from here again!

Lovely house
We spent 2 weeks last summer in this house. My 3 teenagers spent their time in the swimming pool and appreciated to be 15 minutes by feet from the center of the town.
The house is really well decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. The garage is really convenient and the parking place in front of the house too.
We enjoyed visiting the neighborhood and discovered many lovely villages.
We hope to come back again this summer
