Il Residence Cimone si trova al secondo piano di una villa nel pieno centro storico della città, ma in riva al mare: dalle ampie terrazze è possibile ammirare un panorama mozzafiato, spaziando dalle grotte marine fino al porto grande e all'isola di Ortigia.
Dista a soli 15 minuti a piedi da Ortigia, centro di Siracusa.
Accesso diretto al mare attraverso una comoda scalinata pubblica, permette di raggiungere a piedi, o con il bus elettrico, tutti i punti di interesse culturale.
Per gli amanti della natura, a 500 metri dal Residence Cimone inizia una pista ciclabile che percorre il tracciato della vecchia ferrovia; un sentiero immerso nella flora mediterranea che, costeggiando il mare, porta fino alla tonnara di Santa Panagia.
L'appartamento è stato interamente ristrutturato nel 2014, ed è composto da un'accogliente e luminosa camera da letto con finestra vista mare, arredata con letto matrimoniale e dotata di aria condizionata, termosifone e TV digitale, bagno in camera con ampia doccia; vi è, inoltre, una cucina abitabile arredata con piano cottura, frigorifero e congelatore, dalla quale si accede alle ampie terrazze dotate di lettini prendisole. E' compreso il collegamento internet wi-fi. Non è fornito di ascensore.
Il Residence Cimone è un'oasi di serenità: di giorno sarà bello ammirare il paesaggio rilassandosi sullo splendido terrazzo, la sera la compagnia della luna e il piacevole brusio delle onde regaleranno un soggiorno indimenticabile.

This apartment is on the second floor - the advantage being that you step directly onto 2 terraces - one of which faces directly across the ocean. The view is absolutely fabulous and more than enough reason to stay here. There is a rocky beach here where it is possible to swim but you really need some sort of footwear to protect your feet. The apartment was well equipped however there was no oven or microwave in the kitchen and the bathroom had no hooks for towels or bathrobes while we were there. We also had trouble with the shower water not draining away - when we mentioned it to Francesco, he explained that you need to pour cleaning agent down the drain regularly. The bed was very comfy and the air conditioning worked very well.
It is only 15 mins walk (level) to Ortigia however the neighbourhood has a disappointingly dirty and neglected air about it. Strange when you see how clean and well kept Ortigia is. Ortigia itself is wonderful - great architecture, views and restaurants/bars. The nearby Greek and Roman amphitheatres were within walking distance and definitely worth visiting. There were local buses and we did use them but you don’t really need them. Be warned, the trains have a capacity limit - we couldn’t buy tickets for a morning train to Noto because it was full so best to buy in advance. And the bus timetable we got from the Tourist centre was out of date.
Our host was very friendly and helpful and we would stay here again.

The air conditioner is bedroom only. Living room and bathroom are so hot you cant brush your teeth without working up a sweat. Shower didnt drain and it was nasty. We compared staying here to camping. The beach close by is rocky and access to the water is dangerous. We tried the beach once but its a huge slip hazard. We wished we stayed in the old town island area.

Hosts were very good when our flights were cancelled and changed due to Air Traffic Controllers computer crash. Francesco was still there to meet us upon late arrival because of flight delay.
Outstanding feature of this property is the huge balcony overlooking the sea in a very quiet area.
A ‘safe’ walk into ortiga which can be done in 15-20 minutes.

Literally steps away from a beautiful waterfront, and within walking distance of all amenities (groceries, shops), you cannot ask for a better location for a wonderful holiday stay. Also a mere 10-minute drive to Ortigia, but also possible by foot (lovely 30-minute stroll). The apartment itself is well-equipped with two large terraces, one offer offering stunning oceanfront views.

We stayed for 3 nights. Overday it was sunny, so we lived on the terrace and the sea is just some steps away.The appartment was practical but bathroom can use an update. Bed wobbled a bit.

The apartment was as seen on line. Two beautiful big terraces, one over looking the sea and bearable when it was very hot with the sea breeze. We went in the sea most days. Very rocky, but lovely once over them.
We didn’t hire a car and walked everywhere.
Tried the Syraka Sicilian Restaurant recommended on the board in kitchen. Excellent and returned again.
Francesco and Laura were lovely and helpful.
Wish we had stayed longer than a week.

The apartment is as it shows on the website - no frills but functional. The terrace would have been fabulous if the weather had been better, and this is a real 'selling point' of the apartment. The walk into Siracusa is 25 mins so very achievable. Taxis cost E20 each way. Parking is free and just outside the apartment. The owners were lovely and allowed an early check in. We had an issue which we told them about, which I am sure will have been resolved.

We had a great stay but must say that the apartment would benefit from a systematic maintenance and a thorough clean - particularly of the kitchen and its utensils. It would for example be great with more than two mugs - just to give an example! Basic maintenance would do a lot to the standard of the apartment - the bed side tables were loose (we tightened them with a screwdriver!), the toilet seat was not fixed properly (we fixed with tape!) and the shower drain was clogged! With a little effort the standard could be substantially increased.

We had an excellent stay at this lovely apartment. It has everything you need for a great stay in Siracusa. Really well located in a quiet area with an ocean swimming spot just downstairs and easy walking distance to Ortigia (25mins). Great communication with Laura and smooth check-in. Highly recommend!

The flat had a lovely view of the sea from the huge terrace. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the walk to Ortegia through not very nice looking (but safe!) streets.

Amazing view and great authentic house
Well, the view is fantastic and a full sea view from the very large terrace. The apartment is in the back streets of Syracuse and the parking is perfect being outside the house. The bed is very comfy and the air conditioning was very well needed as it is starting to get quite hot in Sicily. Ortigia is a great place to visit and very close. If you do have the opportunity do visit Musciara Resort which is 300 metres from the apartment.

Hübsche kleine gut klimatisierte Wohnung für 2 Personen mit kostenlosem Parkplatz vor der Tür und allem was gebraucht wird.
Die großzügigen Terrassen machen einige kleine Mängel in der schon etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Wohnung wieder wett.

There is quite a lot of restoration work going on locally and the streets are quite dirty but didn’t feel unsafe walking back at night.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub auf der riesigen Terrasse. Die Wohnung ist für 2 Personen ausreichend und hat ein sehr bequemes Bett. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit wieder nehmen.

Location fantastica, il top della casa è il terrazzo che affaccia sul mare , si gode di una vista stupenda, si può cenare con il rumore delle onde in sottofondo. Ho apprezzato tantissimo il fatto che hanno accettato i miei 2 cani senza nessun problema. Francesco e Laura 2 ottimi padroni di casa, gentilissimi e disponibilissimi. Buonissima posizione per girare Siracusa e a pochi metri da Ortigia. Consigliatissimo.
Un saluto da noi ma soprattutto dai nostri 2 cagnolini che hanno apprezzato come noi quel bellissimo terrazzo.

Très bon séjour
Appartement correct, l'atout est la très belle terrasse situé au bord de l'eau.
Lit très confortable, en revanche, des petits travaux sont à effectuer dans la salle de douche.
L'appartement est situé au dessus de la plage de rocher (prévoir des chaussons d'eau pour y aller)
à 2 km d'Ortigia, endroit très vivant.

Beliggenhed i gåafstand til turisternes Ortigia, tæt på lille lokal klippestrand, restaurant/pizzeria og café, gør denne drømmelejlighed til en - drøm!
Veludstyret køkken og soveværelse, to pragtfulde terrasser - en mod byen med skygge for morgenmad, og en stor med både spiseplads, sofagruppe og solsenge - er alle pengene værd.
Det er anden gang min kone og jeg er her, og stedet kan på det varmeste anbefales til alle par der ønsker ro, sol, vand og en livlig kulturby i gåafstand.

Wonderful stay
We usually always stay in Ortigia when visiting Sicily, but were so lucky to find this perfect apartment just a 15-20 walk from the historic centre.
2 wonderful roof terraces, one overlooking the sea, and Ortigia, and the other the gorgeous old buildings...
The bedroom is a good size, with air con.
Large bathroom and a kitchen/dining area.
Free parking right outside the door, which we never had a problem with getting a spot.
There are now a lot of lovely bars & restaurants this side of Ortigia, and we would definitely stay here again.
Ortigia is a 15-20 min walk, supermarkets nearby, and bus stops super close.
Francesco was a great host, easy to contact, and was waiting for us when we arrived.
No issues at all...
Just sad to have to leave after 10 wonderful days.

Struttura direttamente sul mare a pochi minuti a piedi da Ortigia, dotata di due terrazze , di cui una fronte mare da favola per potersi godere il panorama fantastico e prendere anche il sole volendo:a disposizione c’è la cucina ,in conclusione struttura pulita accogliente e molto indipendente. Propetari molto disponibili. La consiglio per una vacanza tranquilla e come punto di partenza per varie attività da fare in questa belllissima zona della Sicilia

Best terrasse in Syracusa
We were so happy staying at Francesco's property. The view of the sea, is like a painting and the beach just below is perfect for snorkel and tanning. The apartment is easy to access, with plenty of free parking. The neighborhood was very calm and you can walk to Ortigia in 15 minutes. We would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastisk utsikt och terrasser, bra bemötande av hyresvärden. Bra med informationstavla med allmän informationsfakta om Syrakusa. Sopsortering gäller i lägenheten vilket är helt rätt! Bra Aircondition i sovrummet och bra kylskåp.. Det som kan förbättras är avloppen i köket och badrummet, det läcker lite och avrinningen från duschen kunde vara bättre.

Amazing terrace!
Absolutely amazing Terrace overlooking the ocean! We spent hours reading and relaxing with the sound of the waves. Such a peaceful vacation. Also within walking distance to Ortigia.

Kleine Stadtwohnung mit 2 herausragenden Dachterrassen
Schöner u. entspannter als auf der Dachterrasse zur Meerseite kann man am Abend in Syrakus nicht sitzen (inkl. Liegestühle!).
Bett u. Küche (modern) sind von guter Qualität, im Haus ist es sehr ruhig, ein Parkplatz ließ sich immer finden u. der Weg in die Altstadt dauert 15-20 Minuten. Zugang zum Meer sehr nah, aber felsig. Der steinige „Strand“ eignet sich nur für Nagelbrett-Erfahrene zum Liegen...
Wir würden bei einem zukünftigen Syrakus-Besuch wieder diese Wohnung wählen.
