Great location, house was cute but felt way too cluttered

Just what we were looking for for a beach weekend! The beach towels, chairs, umbrella + more were so helpful for those of us that flew in.

Norman was a great host and easily accessible when needed. The house is very eclectic, but feels slightly cluttered. My only complaint about the property was the cleanliness of everything. But an otherwise great location and great weekend in Charleston

Our blended family of adults (ages 30+) rented for Memorial Day weekend. We found the home with a nice lived in feel that made you feel welcome. Plenty of seating and sleeping space. We cooked all but one meal onsite and found the kitchen well stocked with everything needed to cook a nice meal. The refrigerator and freezer were spacious to keep our groceries. We enjoyed the games, beach supplies and more that was available. From check in to checkout Norman was wonderful. Would recommend to friends and family.

We loved our stay- lots of room to hang inside and out. Kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed cooking some family meals. The beach is a few blocks and the property owner provided all the chairs and beach supplies we needed.

The house, porches, and hot tub were awesome! Norman was super helpful! Overall, such a fun trip with the most fabulous girlfriends! Thank you!

Upside: Great location a few blocks from the beach. Easy in/easy out. Downside: Sorta clean (shower curtains moldy, dead cockroaches in the cabinets and floors on check in) and many broken appliances (dryer, toaster, shelves in fridge, no propane grill as listed although there was a charcoal grill to use). Overall, an ok home in a great location.

When warming up the oven on the first day, smoke from oil in the bottom shelf. We had to open several windows and the door. Spent over an hour cleaning the oven. Air conditioning didn’t keep up with the heat in a couple of rooms, furniture was dated and beds were worn. The dryer took 2 or 3 cycles to dry clothes. Dishes, pots and pans look like they came from a thrift store.

It didn’t seem like the house was cleaned very well before we came. We had 2 beds with clearly dirty sheets, kitchen had sticky counters, and found a few cockroaches throughout our stay. The host was very responsive and friendly but the property was not what we hoped.

A group of two families of 4 each met up for a long weekend at Folly Beach. The house had more than enough bed space for all of us and had a great seating area to hang out in. The kitchen had all the equipment that we needed. The house was well equipped and a great location just a few blocks from the beach.
We would stay there again and would recommend the house for larger groups of people. We had a wonderful stay.

We loved the quirky house and it was so close to the beach. My teens loved playing basketball at the park. The house had lots of beds. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed for The Weekend and we enjoyed the front porch. My only complaint would be the showers, hard to get consistent temperature.

This property was quirky and perfect for a chilled girls weekend. The owner was super responsive and wonderful to work with. Short walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. Plenty of space to relax outside with wrap around porch/hot tub. We will definitely be back!

My friends and I had a lovely trip, and this house was perfect for us. The kitchen had all of the supplies we needed, the decor was homey, and the house was a short walk away from the beach. The host was incredibly responsive, and got back to me with answers for any questions I had within 10 minutes.

Summer vacay
Perfect house for two families with lots of kids. Great location! Norman was very fast to respond to questions!! Lots of different spaces to relax indoors and out. Hot tub was awesome! This is a very family and dog friendly home. Nothing fancy but very comfortable!!!

Eclectic beach home, great location.
Perfect distance to downtown Folly and to the beach. Home was very cute and had great indoor and outdoor spaces. Comfortably fit ten people for sleeping as well as in the shared spaces. AC worked great too!

Great place for a group stay
This house was perfect for our large group. It had plenty of parking and was within walking distance to everything on Folly. I would highly recommend this house.

Perfect beach getaway
I stayed here with several of my friends and everyone loved it. The house itself is really cool, everything is in good shape, the two yards are both great for hanging out in, and it's very convenient to get to the beach and only a short walk from the main strip of Folly Beach. We loved everything about it and Norman was great to communicate with.

Great communication
The owner responded to our questions quickly every time. There are plenty of linens to shower with just bring towels for hot tub. We did need a cookie sheet and had to make due. Plenty of sleeping room w a tad to spare for the 8 guests we had. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Overall the stay was good.

Family trip to folly
Property was satisfactory for our family. There was limited flatware (insufficient for 10 people), and air conditioning units had difficulty keeping up with the outside temperature. There were other people (unknown) on the premise (presumably the owner). Cleaning could have been better and towels for bathing were limited. Communication prior to our stay was outstanding and owner was very accommodating.

Loved it
Perfect fenced in front yard for a getaway with pets. Not to mention the virtual playground in the backyard for kids with a hot tub, fire pit and mini climbing wall. The unit is beautiful with a decked out kitchen great deck with couches to lounge on all day in the shade. The garage is stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas and lots of other beach necessities. I’d book again!

Back Yard
I enjoyed the location of the property. My one complaint is that the back yard is not completely fenced in. I asked the owner specifically if this was the case, and he said "yes". Upon arrival, I found that this was not true. The owner quickly responded to my request and we barricaded several spots to prevent my dogs from escaping.

Great vacation spot
We had an amazing time. This was a perfect house for the 9 of us. Very close to the beach. The house itself has a great beach vibe. We would definitely stay there again. One of our favorite trips to Foley.

Perfect Beach House
I rented this house for a reunion of sorts with a bunch of friends and it was perfect! Close to the beach and walking distance to all the bars and restaurants in Folly and only about 20 minutes to Charleston. The house was clean and had plenty of space for everyone. The deck and the front and back yards were perfect. No complaints!

Loved the house! Great layout and plenty of room. Peaceful porch. Pretty yard - felt very private. Few minutes walk to the beach. Maybe 10 min walk to the restaurants. Will be back.

Charming House and Deck
Great location and lots of little things set this rental apart. Plenty of linens, supplies, and things like throw blankets are always a welcome surprise. Easy walk to beach, restaurants and bars. The covered deck is like a secret garden!

Cool and cozy. Off the main drag but plenty close enough to downtown and the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and very cute. House was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend!

Comfortable House, great for entertaining
Outdoor space is amazing - decks and a cool back yard. Short walk to the beach and downtown is walk-able. Beds extremely comfortable.

Great location, house needs work
For the price, the location is great - 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to Center St. The house is fine but not great. It wasn't very clean and could use regularly scheduled thorough deep cleanings. The beds - except for the master - are extremely uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well the entire trip due to that. The towels and sheets are also old and in tatters. Although this is a cheaper option on Folly, it's still more than enough money (via rental cost) to cover some new sheets, proper cleaning, and mattresses.

Our group really enjoyed the entire house. You can't beat the porch and the jacuzzi. The pictures don't do this place justice.

Fantastic house for groups!
This house exceeded all of our expectations! Plenty of space for low-key lounging. Beautiful wrap around porch. 4 blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk to Folly's main strip. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Kitchen is very well stocked and outdoor grill worked great for a BBQ. If you're looking for a low-key getaway with friends or family, I highly recommend this rental!
Note: There is a cat that hangs around the house, so be aware if you are allergic.

Wonderful place for a large group!
My husband and I rented the house for our wedding party to stay for our destination wedding weekend. It was large enough to accommodate our group and we felt right at home. It is located just a few short blocks from the beach and four blocks from the main drag so you can easily have the best of both worlds that Folly has to offer. The owners are very nice and responsive. Great experience overall. We would love to come back and rent from them again. Highly recommend!

Great property that is bigger & better than the pictures
Folly Beach is a fantastic location for a small or large group. We had a couples retreat at this property and we could not be more impressed. The large deck wraps around the house is a great location to relax after a long day at the beach. The rooms had king beds that were great for couples. We hope to come back next year.

Great Spot On Folly
Was in Charleston with 6 friends for a weekend golf/beach trip. The house had everything we could have ever needed. The owners we very quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and about a 10 min walk to the folly bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again on another trip down!

Roomier than I expected
The house had more room than I expected. The 4th bedroom actually has a king size bed. I was expecting a twin so I was pleasantly surprised. I can't say enough good things about Norman. Every time I emailed him prior to our arrival he responded with a couple of hours. He was very helpful. While we were there the AC went out (it could happen to anybody.) I called him and within an hour he had addressed the problem to the best of his ability. My only complaint is that the 4th bedroom has a dogie door which makes the room hard to cool and allows bugs to come in.
