This amazing villa worked wonderful for our family of 10. With three different dining locations, two pools and many different gathering areas. We used the pool daily and just loved the communication with the owner and Mathilde were great. Mathilde could not be more accommodating with suggestions and helping with some minor issues. Just loved every minute. Would stay here again, no question about it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here! The entire property is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing vacation. The host was very easy to communicate with and helpful in arranging anything we needed. Highly recommend!

We stayed here with family and friends as we were attending our son’s wedding in Taormina.
The prefect location for accessibility to Taormina and surrounding areas. It allowed us to spend time together pre and post the wedding. The pools and surrounding grounds were well maintained and a great respite from the heat!
Overall, it was a great facility.

We were four families with young children and the layout of the rooms and the property was ideal for us. The kids played all day in the pool and in the garden while the adults enjoyed the stunning surroundings of the property. We had a wonderful experience with Monica who helped with check in, organizing dinner at the villa a few nights and tips for the area. Perfect location close to a small town with all the essentials (coffee shops, supermarkets etc). Would recommend to anyone looking to spend a week with friends or family and book Maria to cook for you!
No complaints here!

We gathered family from various locations and met at Chateau Lemon Etna and all loved staying on the property. Being together here was the best part of the trip, host and staff were wonderful and attentive- we would definitely come back.

Magical Time in Sicily
My family visited Naxos as a part of a milestone birthday celebration. I took my three adult children/spouses/grandchildren to see their roots. What a wonderful surprise to arrive at Villa Etna. The home was lovely, fully air-conditioned, and the yard was beautifully groomed. The kitchen was well equipped. Monica even bought a blender for us when I asked for one. I can't say enough about the gracious and loving care we received from Monica. She was the most responsive host we have ever had. Gabriel also came by to check that all was well. Maria's cooking was terrific and it is a meal we will all remember. And on top of all that, we really did see Mt. Etna from many angles of the property. I would definitely return and highly recommend this space for young and old!

We had a wonderful stay at the house. Garden is nice and outside sitting area nice and spacious. Rooms are good and beds were made up as separate units. Kitchen could use a second percolator for coffee and we had to clean the dishwasher sprayer arms as they were clogged up and didn’t clean the dishes (afterwards it worked fine).
The view is spectacular and swimming pool is good. There are enough interesting sites in the area for excursions. I would go there again.

Fantastic group stay
We had a fantastic group stay at the villa that comfortably accommodated for a group of 12 adults. The facilities and environment were beautiful and well enjoyed by our group.
The house team and manager were very welcoming and accommodated most of our needs. We were quite disappointed to lose our security deposit due to some stains on the terracotta tiles which were the flooring for all the communal outdoor cooking and dining areas. We were not warned of the risk or advised of the caution needed when cooking and eating in these areas which led to a disappointing outcome. It would be helpful for future guests if this information was included in the check-in process.
All in all, we had a marvellous stay and will remember our group holiday at the villa very fondly.

Beautiful villa well located to explore the area.
Our extended family of 9 stayed her for a week in July. The views from the grounds are beautiful and we were very surprised by the amount of space you have outside with plenty of room to sit in the shade, swim and sunbathe. We also enjoyed a game of football with Etna as our bsckdrop!
All the bedrooms are a good size with their own bathroom.
Monica was very welcoming and helpful and a real star.
We booked Maria to cook for us one evening which was fantastic. As well as amazing food, Maria was so friendly.
Nearby we visited Taormina, Isla Bella and Naxos which are all lovely but very very busy. We loved Castelmola as very peaceful and Ragusa.
The only things I can suggest in terms of improvement would be a better bbq (in size and weight); a larger kettle and some more sun loungers.
Would definitely recommend for a group of friends or family.

Great Villa
Excellent villa in a beautiful location with views of Etna across the vineyard from the garden. Swimming pool well used and shaded outdoor table and chairs welcome in the heat. Accommodation was spacious and clean, although beds somewhat hard, and the kitchen had limited equipment. Easy walk to village, which had many ice-cream shops to the delight of our children and also simple shops and restaurants. Many things to do in the area including visiting Taormina, Mount Etna, River gorge and beaches/boat trips. Monica was an excellent manager - very friendly and efficient, and the meal cooked by Maria for us was amazing. I think it should be made clear on the owners direct website that air-conditioning is not included in the price of the villa and it is an extra that needs to be paid -the amount requested did seem somewhat excessive to us. Overall though we had a great holiday and would recommend this villa.

One of my best holidays ever
Beautiful location, just in front of the Etna vulcan.
The resort is surrounded by vignards and fruit trees, very relaxing.
A lot of care and attention to details. The rooms are spacious and clean.
The best part is the assistance from the staff: friendly and professional at all times.
I recommend the "granita" and pasta alla norma. Fantastic!

Wonderful villa, wonderful hospitality!
We stayed at Villa Etna for one week at the end of August/beginning of September. We had the most wonderful time. Monica, the housekeeper, gave us such a warm welcome and was brilliant throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was very knowledgeable about the local area, beaches, places to eat and visit. The villa itself was very spacious and immaculate. We had everything we needed. The pool was perfect, very clean and a lovely temperature. The location was brilliant, close to amenities and a very short drive from the beach, but because of the setting it felt as though it was the perfect rural retreat. Our two boys, aged 7 and 8 years summed it up as "the best holiday ever!". Thank you very much. We hope to return next year.

A great holiday in a lovely house!
We had a great week at Villa Etna! The house is very well divided internally, well maintained and really well equipped! The air conditioning is very efficient, as it needs to be to cope with the intense heat one can experience in Sicily! The garden is large and there is an extensive covered area where one can take refuge from the hot sun as well as dine al fresco. From there the view of Mount Etna is stunning! Although the property is very close to the village, it feels quite remote. It is very quiet! The swimming pool was a huge attraction to our children, and much fun was had there! Everything is in perfect working order in the house, except for the wi-fi which is at times problematic, the signal is at times very weak. I understand the owner will be doing something about that! The manager is very attentive and efficient and will resolve any problems that can occur with great speed, and there is a cook for an outstanding Sicilian food experience (at extra cost). The surrounding area is very beautiful, with lots to do. We found a couple of beautiful beaches (don’t miss Lido dal Pirata). It is worth making sure you have proper instructions as to the location of the property and not just follow the satnav, I got totally lost trying to find it when we first arrived!

Wonderful stay at the beautiful Villa Etna with a private pool, shaded and tasteful terrace, perfumed scent of the lemon trees nearby and a magnificent view of the real Etna. We also enjoyed very much the warm hospitality of Gabriele and Monica.

Perfect accommodations for a great week in Sicily.
The villa was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The en suite arrangement was ideal for our large group (12 adults), with inviting indoor and outdoor common spaces for meals or just hanging out and cozy bed/bath combos that were just right at other times. We had two dinners al fresco on the spacious patio, which was a real treat. The pool was another a big plus, especially when the weather got hot. A prime location as well--close enough to Taormina to enjoy the town's amenities and yet far enough way to keep the throngs at bay. I would definitely recommend this property to any large group planning a vacation in the area.

A beautiful villa with modern convenience.
This charming and beautiful villa has it all. The property is very clean and well maintained, and every corner is just beautiful and functional. The property manager provides excellent customer service and the resident cook will make you the most delicious home cook meal in Sicily. It is easy to get to the beaches and attractions by car. Overall, I had the dream vacation in Villa Etna. I can't wait to go back.

Le Case del Principe - Taormina, Sicily (Italy)
I've just come back from a fabulous holiday spent with a group of friends at Le Case del Principe - Taormina, Sicily (Italy). We stayed in Villa Etna, nestled in orange, lemon and olive groves not to mention a budding vineyard. The breathtaking view on the snow-capped volcano, the quiet and the surrounding nature did wonders for helping us to disconnect from our stressful lives and reconnect with our own rhythm. This was the perfect location for our favorite activities: hiking, swimming, walking by the sea, shopping, seeing the sights including the world famous Taormina or simply lounging by the in-house pool. I must say that I was particularly impressed by how clean and safe the place was and by the special taste of the Principe who very elegantly decorated it with touches of Sicily every now and again. We had a Sicilian grandmother on the property who prepared fantastic typical dishes while making us feel pampered. Considering that the estate is nicely removed from the mainstream, but in an area filled with many interesting activities, it was a very good idea to rent a couple of cars to get around when we wanted to. What a wonderful corner of the world!

A beautiful property tucked right below Mount Etna
My family of 7 adults recently returned from Sicily, and stayed at this villa for a week. The property is gorgeous - vineyards, stunning views of the puffing Mt Etna, really peaceful. The home is very nice and spacious - there are four proper bedrooms downstairs, each with its own full bathroom (although tiny showers!) and firm, comfortable mattresses. There is a fifth bedroom upstairs in an open loft-type space that we didn't use, with two twin beds in separate alcoves and a half-bath - this would be great for children, but there is not privacy for adults, and no shower/bath. The decor is tasteful and rustic, with many antique prints and lithographs framed everywhere that makes quite a beautiful collection. The kitchen is in a separate area of the house, bordering but not conjoined with the living space, and there is a lovely patio right outside the living room. The best feature of the house is a large terrace in the yard, under an arbor - it feels very luxe, and the views over the vineyard and to Etna are amazing. We had a few meals out here, once with the chef Maria who made a wonderful HUGE feast of Sicilian specialties. We also spent some quality time in the pool, as it was hot as an oven in July/August - the pool was very refreshing and is a really nice size, but it is an above-ground pool so there are no steps that you can sit on or ease in, and it is all one depth of about 5 feet. The pool has a great deck around it and stonework bordering it, so it's the nicest above-ground pool I've ever seen, but I think small children could have trouble without a shallow end or without gradual steps to get into the water. One thing to note is that the house is not in Taormina - Taormina is a 12-15 minute drive, two towns away. When you go there, be sure to park at the Porto Catania parking lot on the western edge of town, it's the most convenient from the house for sure. The closest town is actually Trappitello, which is a little rundown, that's where you can get your groceries, and the next town over is Giardini-Naxos, which is a popular, more casual beach resort (that's where the best beaches are, since Taormina doesn't have its own beaches). So it's a bit misleading to say this is "in Taormina", but it is in the Taormina area. Overall, a great property and very comfortable home away from home!

Fantastico!
The villa is fantastic. It was very true to the photos posted on the webiste. We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent views of Mt. Etna from the Pergola where we dined. Monica, the villa representative, was very professional and most helpful. Thanks to the housekeeper, Maria, we found the villa in pristine condition. A good was had by all in our group with age ranging from 8 to 72 years old.
The location was ideal for beaches, Taormina and exploring hilltop towns. I would most definitely recommend this villa and would stay there again.

Sheer Magic
I have just returned from an enchanted weekend in this enchanting property. A beautiful villa, very tastefully furnished set in a luxuriant garden and surrounded by vineyards and citrus groves. I mean, what can be more magical than swimming in this lovely pool with snow-capped Etna as a backdrop.
An alternative are the cystalline waters of Giardini Naxos, just a stone’s throw away, as is Taormina, this world-famous town with its stunning views over the coast and surrounding countryside, its medieval streets, tiny passages, excellent restaurants, cafés and ice-cream bars.
I would highly recommend this lovely property to anyone intending to plan a holiday in Sicily.

A Beautiful Villa in a Beautiful Country
We arrived at the gates of Le Case del Principe and was thrilled to find the perfect place with wonderful, clean and well maintained accomodations. There was plenty of room for the twelve adults plus three children. We wondered through the groves, enjoyed the pool, the air conditioned rooms and well decorated villa filled with all that you would need. It is a beautiful place to stay plus it is very convenient by car to Taormina, Mt Etna, Alcantara and the pristine beaches found along the coast. Our family had a memorable stay visiting family, soaking in the sun, sitting under the gorgeous trellis with a table to sit all 24 of us or spending our nights out on the patio reminiscing about what we saw that day. Our only reget is that it had to end and that our time was short. There is no doubt, if we ever had the opportunity to return to Sicily, Villa Etna would be where we would stay. Bravo!!

Fantastic!
Fantastic location, very peaceful and with beautiful views. Very close to Taormina, where we had a lot of fun! The owner was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit, and activities to do. The house is charming, and equipped with everything we needed for our two-week stay. Our kids loved running around the garden and swimming in the pool – and the garden is large enough to forget we had any with us! We could not have been luckier with the weather either. Definitely planning on returning as soon as possible!

Villa Etna: A surreal experience
Our little winter holiday in Sicily was nothing short of surreal, thanks to the lucky break we had with Villa Etna. The entire week, we were "living" in the middle of this magical landscape of rolling, green countryside, fruit orchards, and the ferocious, snow-capped Etna Volcano. The villa's interior was simply fabulous. All those antique paintings, colorful rooms, and arched ceilings! We "wowed and oohed" quite a bit, I must say. Cleanliness was obviously a priority here and the housekeeping was meticulous, if anything. We're normally very cautious about where we spend our money, but Villa Etna was definitely worth every cent. A gracious owner, an excellent property, and a fair price. Without further ado, here's our take: Highly recommended.

A special holiday villa
We highly recommend Villa Etna as a beautiful and very special holiday home surrounded by orange and lemon groves, a vineyard and facing the smoking Mt. Etna, and unforgettable sight. The Villa is beautifully kept and equipped with all the comforts needed to make a unique and unforgettable family holiday. The spacious area surrounding the villa, the swimming pool all contribute to a very relaxing and special holiday. We hope one day to be able to return there.
