Die Lage ist super, mitten im Ort, zum Nationalpark sind wir mit dem Auto gefahren. Unser Aufenthalt war beeinträchtigt von 3 Tagen Dauerregen. Daher haben wir den Trockner sehr geschäftzt und auch die Waschmaschine genutzt. Die Wohnung ist sehr hübsch und mit allem ausgestattet, was wir benötigt haben.

Bei gutem Wetter gab es nur begrenzte Möglichkeiten, um auf dem Balkon zu sitzen. Wir hätten gerne einen Safe gehabt. Es hat uns gestört, dass 3 Tage der Toiletteneimer nicht geleert wurde und wir auch nicht wussten, wohin mit dem Abfall.

Gut ausgestattete Küche, Fliegengitter an den Fenstern, Waschmaschine und Trockner vorhanden. Das gym gegenüber ist nicht störend.

Es war alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht wirklich herzlich eingerichtet. War bestimmt mal richtig schön, aber es ist nicht gut gepflegt. Im Bad sind dunkle Flecken um das Fenster. Wir hatten die Wohnung im 1. Stock- da könnte man die Pflanzen etwas kürzen, damit man ungehindert hochkommt. Zudem muss man bar bezahlen.

Waze connait l'adresse et on se gare devant l'escalier. Codes entrée et wifi fournis par avance ce qui facilite les échanges WhatsApp avec Vanessa dont l'accueil est sympathique. Construction moderne efficiente. L'équipement est complet dont un mini four grille-pain. Presque un plaisir de faire la lessive d'une semaine à 4 personnes en une seule machine (19 kgs !) et de tout sécher pendant le repas du soir au restaurant.

Rien de négatif

Lovely modern apartment, nicely decorated, comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen with 2 ring induction hob, microwave and small oven/ grill, coffee maker and kettle. The kettle was useful to heat water for washing up, like most of the places we stayed in Costa Rica the tap water is the ambient temperature. Washing machine holds 19 kg, and there's a huge tumble dryer. Good shower with lots of hot water . Host Vanessa was lovely and super helpful, she organised a tour for us much cheaper than we could have booked ourselves on line. The property doesn't have any signage, Vanessa will send you a link to Google maps. It is directly opposite the gym. The gym has lots of equipment albeit a bit outdated but they work . Day pass was 3000 colones(2024) There are a couple of restaurants within a few minutes walk . The central town area is about a 10 minute walk on pavements which were lit at night . Great value for money. We travelled by car, the roads to the property are all good . The property is within a few minutes walking distance of the main road.

Coming from the temperate UK, I struggle to sleep in the warmth of Costa Rica, a fan would be a lovely addition. There was some noise from dogs and motorbikes

quiet place in Santa Elena and good facilities was really helpful to make it comfortable.

Good location for local amenities and a great base to explore the wider areas. Excellent facilities for self catering. Very good contact with the owner, who can help book activities and attractions.
