This lovely condo, located in the heart of New Bern, was the perfect place for me and my friend to enjoy a weekend away! Just a short walk to many wonderful restaurants and shops, we don't think we could have found any better place to stay. It has plenty of space and very comfortable beds, is extremely clean, and the host was very responsive.
Our suggestions: eat at Chelsea (amazing shrimp & grits) and Morgan's Tavern (Big Daddy's shrimp roll was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had); have drinks at Baxter's (speakeasy atmosphere), and apps/beers at Poppy's Bites & Barrels (don't miss the candied bacon and pork nachos). Also, if you're staying on a Saturday, make sure to go to the Farmer's Market for great finds.
I have visited New Bern many times over the years, but I always stayed at a B&B. That is, until I found this condo. Book it...you'll be happy you did! (Yeah, the stairs are a challenge, but absolutely doable, even for us old ladies. LOL Plus, you can work off some of those calories consumed.)

Condo was great for our visit. Nice accommodations and better than staying in a hotel. Location was perfect for us, easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Convenient street parking right in front of the building. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting New Bern.

What a great property to be in the middle of the action! We loved this place. At the last minute our 12 year old granddaughter asked if she could come with us. She walked into the condo and said wow this is really cool. Those who know 12 year olds know this was great! We were so surprised by the location as we had never been to New Bern. This was right around the corner from all the shopping and restaurants! We parked our car and didn't get back in it until we came home. We did it all! Tyron Palace (fantastic tour loads of information), Christmas Parade and the flotilla. Great little town that knows how to decorate for Christmas. Great condo with comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Highly recommend.

We loved this newly, and very well done, renovated and large apartment in the center of the quaint, charming, and friendly downtown. We parked our car and did not need it for three days! Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance ! The dining experience was excellent ! Plus, we enjoyed getting to know the property owner.

The apartment was perfect, immaculately kept and tremendously convenient right in the heart of New Bern. We never needed our car once we arrived.
And David was a perfect host, very responsive and friendly. We'd highly recommend this spot!

We loved the decor and location of this very clean apartment.
We walked to breakfast & dinner the days we stayed in downtown New Bern. The people were friendly and the food was great. There is so much to see in the area and being downtown is what we enjoyed the most.

I couldn't have asked for a better location and thoroughly enjoyed the property. The photos in the listing give an accurate portrayal of the unit. At one point, I had to contact the owner regarding a parking issue and he responded quickly and the issue was resolved. I would definitely choose this property again for my next stay!

The 2 bed 2 bath apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Even though we went out for most meals, kitchen is well stocked. The location is perfect for walking to everything in downtown and waterfront new Bern. And it’s a 5 minute drive to multiple kayak launches. We will definitely try to book it when we plan another trip to the city.

Property was clean and spacious for our group of 2 couples. It was conveniently located in walking distance to local shops, restaurants and bars. The property does have parking located behind the building, however it is not labeled with any signage and with there being many other parking spots in the same area it took time to figure out which spots were the actaul properties. Some signage would be helpful.

Super cute apartment, clean and tastefully decorated. Walking distance to everything. You will hear children at the playground during there day and street noise with the restaurants on the street until about 9-10, then it dies down to quiet. The stairs are a little tough if you're old, there are about 20 or so and it's steep.
We loved the distance walking to literally everything and the owner is nice. Age of renters, two older ladies. Length of stay 2 nights. Reccomend this apartment. The dog staying down the hall only barks when you get there.

The lodging was perfect. You cannot get a better location if you wish to enjoy New Bern. You can walk to every restaurant, retail store, and historical venue.

Close to everything, Restaurants, Bars, shopping the waterfront park are all in walking distance. Beautiful building, but unit was very dirty, and the sheets and bed lines were stained and had holes in them. Have rented many times with VRBO and have never experienced this.

We were in town for the weekend and were involved in a weekend of activities from the Convention Center to the Maola event venue and it was a perfect spot to be able to go all over New Bern on foot. Parked the car on Friday night and didn't move it until we left Sunday. The 2 bedroom condo was great. Very clean, everything we needed and slept great. Lovely design and layout. Looking forward to returning next year.

Might be the nicest VRBO I've stayed in. Spacious 2 BR/2BA in the heart of downtown New Bern. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Street parking wasn't a problem for our off season January visit. Signage would be helpful to locate 4 guest parking spots behind the bldg. Couldn't figure out which these were.

This was a great place to stay. It had everything that anyone might need. The place was comfortable and loved the historic charm of the unit and the building. The location was perfect with so many places around for coffee, dining, and shopping. We will definitely rebook again for our next visit.

Right in the heart of New Bern. We parked the car on Friday and didn’t get back in it until Sunday when we left. Great walking town! Lots of stairs going into the property so you should be aware of that. It’s dog friendly and the next apartment over dogs barked constantly (I guess in a dog friendly place it’s hard to avoid that if others don’t train their dogs not to bark!). But overall a great weekend vacation

Right outside the front door are so many restaurants, shops, and the water. We loved being right in the heart of New Bern and discovered so many neat places. The town is decorated for the holidays and had a couple events the weekend we stayed and definitely makes this one of the most charming seaside towns in the Carolinas. The stay was wonderful and David’s accommodation was perfect. The bed was comfortable, kitchen equipped with everything needed, and the place was spotless.

My sister and I stayed here for an annual Sisters trip. The condo was perfect. Everything was within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice location downtown. Pictures and description are accurate. While on-street parking *might* be a problem on occasion, we didn't have any trouble during our stay parking right out front of the doorway. Unit looks recently upgraded. I think the owner has put a lot of care into renovating it. We will definitely be back! (Fair warning: there is a long flight of stairs to get up to the unit so keep that in mind if you have difficulty climbing stairs.)
