Les Ecrins is absolutely worth a recommendation.
The house itself is a beautifully restored villa from 1900. The interior decoration is beautifully done and very tasteful.
Our room was spacious and although it was at the front of the building, traffic noise was hardly noticable. If you're an extremely light sleeper, you might want to ask for a room that's not at the front.
Breakfast is served in one of the rooms at ground floor, where a woodfire is burning in the morning.
Breakfast itself is more than plentyful and consists of croissants, bread and cake with an assortment of self-make jams and honey, cheeses, ham, yoghurt, apple juise and coffee. It's really more than enough to start your day in the best possible way.
Both hosts are extremely friendly and helpful; they make staying at Les Ecris very enjoyable.

Excellent séjour ! Un merci particulier à Sébastien et Patrick pour leur accueil chaleureux, les déjeuners exquis, leur aide précieuse (informations touristiques, etc.);
Très bien situé pour visiter la route des vins d'Alsace (Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Colmar, etc.); Nous garderons d'excellents souvenirs !

It was very tastefully decorated and furnished. the room was comfortable and the bed amazing. Parking in the yard was ample.
No door on the bathroom/ toilet.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, they gave us many informations about the nearby villages to visit, and they offer delicious homemade cakes for breakfast 🤗

The hosts were super nice and helpful. Our room was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was prepared with love and included many home-made items. Orbey is a lot less touristy than Kaysersberg and other famous towns and villages in the area. The house has nice balconies and a backyard, where you can relax if the weather is good.
Nothing other than that the weather wasn't perfect, so we didn't have an opportunity to make use of the backyard.

This is a beautiful house cared by 2 wholehearted persons that pay attention to the detail, that have excellent ideas for eating and enjoying nature and culture around and their humanity is always present. We arrived with really bad weather and Patrik and Sébastien were waiting for us there, very patiently. They helped us for a local diner recommendation, that we really enjoyed. Rooms are very cosy and clean, serving water and kettle for tea and coffee. The beds and pillows were very confortable for us, not too hard. Breakfast is delicious, with home made cakes, mermelade, fresh fruits salad, local cheese, fresh delicious bread and croissant. The breakfast room is, silent, welcoming, and beautiful with a fire place that is kept cared all the time. Fresh flowers are also a delight. We received 2 massages from Patrik, one to relieve pain and it the pain relieved for weeks. We could use the breakfast room for drinking a tea together in the evening. It was a pity that we could not use the jacuzzi outside due to the cold weather.

Amazing house and amazing hospitality! The hosts were so kind, and the breakfasts were absolutely fabulous. We had hoped to ski, but the weather didn’t cooperate. The hosts provided some recommendations, which included enchanting villages and lovely Christmas markets. It was a magical trip!

I usually do not write reviews but Chambres d'hotes Les Ecrins is outstanding and deserves praise. The breakfast is first class, the building and interior design beautiful. Finally, Patrick and Sebastian are very thoughtful hosts and they made our stay truly special.

We had a very warm welcome from Sébastien & Patrick. Every morning we were served a delicious breakfast with home made cake.
The surroundings and the house ars beautiful and we were provided with lot's of hiking information during our stay. We will definitely visit this amazing place again!!
