Nel cuore del piccolo villaggio di montagna noto per la sua piscina termale ma solo 12 km da Briançon, un centro storico culturale oltre che centro commerciale. La valle di Serre Chevalier offre un comprensorio eccezionale per lo sci: piste da fondo e da discesa per sci e snowboard, percorsi per racchette da neve e per lo sci escursionistico. Le montagne e i ghiacciai del Parco Nazionale dell'Ecrins sono rinomati per le loro opportunità alpinistiche.

My family and I (a total of 5 adults) spent the New Year's week 23/24 in John and Laura's fantastic apartment. The apartment has a total of 6 real beds, distributed in 3 nice bedrooms, with two bathrooms and an additional toilet, so it never feels crowded. The apartment has a large living room with a fantastic view of the mountains, and the integrated kitchen has everything you need for cooking both large and small meals. The location is ideal, with proximity to shops, restaurants, and the ski system. The apartment also has a large garage on the ground floor, perfect for storing skis, with its own exit directly facing the ski system. We also took advantage of the fantastic bathhouse, heated by the village's natural hot springs. It was wonderful to sit in a large naturally heated outdoor pool and feel the snow falling. The bathhouse is only a minute's walk from the apartment. As hosts, you can immediately tell that both John and Laura have a genuine and sincere interest, with a real commitment to both the apartment and to you as a guest, ensuring that you get the most out of your vacation week. My family and I give both the apartment and John & Laura the highest rating and look forward to returning.

We had a fantastic 4 week holiday in Monetier. The apartment was perfectly placed for ski lifts, spa, shops, bars and restaurants. The balcony and main room had stunning views, the accommodation was warm and comfortable and we were able to accommodate our guests with ease. We had all we needed.
John and Laura were there on our arrival to advise and guide us on the flat and the local area, and available if we needed them.
In all a very successful holiday, and a place we will come back to.

The property is very good. It is well equipped and parking is not a problem. There is a garage for extra storage space but its impractical for parking the car in. We ended up staying for 4 weeks with our 7 month old and had a 7 yr old for the final week. The owners are very nice and met us in person on arrival and on the day of departure. Communication was excellent though out and they went out of their way to find creche options for us before we booked. Would certainly stay again and recommend.

We were a family of four and our kind had a choice either to stay in bunk bed or single beds. They chose single beds and used the bunk bed as a pirate ship.
The apartment is equipped with all necessities and for sound proofing there are extra sliding doors that separate zones.
There's a garage in the basement to keep ones skies and boards and change ski boots. Close location to ski school and chairlifts made it easy to walk with children to and back from the mountain while carrying multiple skies and poles.
Small supermarket and boulangerie are just around the corner.
Given our experience, this apartment was very large compared to other apartments in France.
The apartment looks better in real life than pictures that are posted here.
We were very satisfied with our experience and hopefully will come back.

Perfect Position, New-ish buidling, perfect condition, nice size for 4/5/6 people, very good/nice combined kitchen/dining/living room - fully equipped with all cooking appliances necessary. Is on 2nd floor, with parking both outside (usually places free) and in an easily accessible garage below (only bothered to use once).
Nice television, with DVD player and good internet.
Two bathrooms, one with own WC, one without, plus a separate WC.
We have stayed at this apartment approx 6 times - it is always our first choice if we can book it in time - enough said! The Ski area is fantastic, about 10 km, covering 4 villages, all linked up. It is a 7 minute walk to the ski slope & lift (in snow boots and carrying skis - probably 5 without!). The apartment is always spotlessly clean when we arrive & are met by the owners. The ski area is good for all abilities - masses of ski schools and huge beginner areas - and masses of blacks for the professionals. THIS PLACE IS PERFECT.

Very nice and practical apartment ideally located in the small village of Le Monêtier-Les-Bains: at walking distance from shops and restaurants which are mostly located in the centre of the village.
We shall maybe mention the fact that the apartment is located on the second floor without lift, which might makes it a bit difficult to be accessed by elderly people or people with moving difficulty.
The property was clean and we appreciated the way that it can be spitted in 2 apartments, ideal for 2 couples.
The service given by the owners was good and flexible on arrival timeframe for instance which we particularly appreciated as it is often difficult to manage...
We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends or relatives taking into account that it makes sense for a family of a certain size or 2 couples with no more than 2 children in total to still feel comfortable.
The most appreciated activities were walking, horse riding and visiting the nice town of Briançon located at the end of the Valley.
Altogether, we were very satisfied and are looking forward to coming back!

This apartment is ideally situated in Monetier village - 2 minutes from the boulangeries, little supermarkets, restaurants and other shops. It is a few minutes walk downhill to the slopes although we used our car as it is easy to park near the lifts and definitely more straightforward with children. There is a great balcony with a wonderful view of the high peaks and glaciers as well as a view on the slopes. The apartment has absolutely everything you could need - it is simply really well thought through, particularly in terms of the kitchen which has a good range of pans, a toaster, coffee machine and knives that actually cut stuff! Arrangements and communications with the owners were the best we have experienced - rapid responses to questions and all really straightforward but also welcoming. As regular visitors to Monetier we cannot recommend this more highly for its combination of value, location and facilities.

"My wife and I stayed one week in March 2013 in this appartment with our two kids (12 and 10). We really enjoyed the place, the location is very convenient both for skiing and the daily shopping and there''s a wonderful view of the mountains from the sitting room and the main bedroom. The appartment is furnished with taste and we found everything we needed in terms of equipment. The host is very friendly and helpful. Our conclusion is therefore entirely positive and I can warmly recommend this place for both shorter and longer stays in the Serre-Chevalier area."

"This was an very well appointed and comfortable apartment which more than met the Owners' description. A quiet location at the edge of the vilage of Le Monetier with good access to ski-ing and excellent walking (we had non-skiers in the party) as well as the restaurants and local shops of Le Monetier very close by. A lovely view of the mountains from the balcony. All the administrative arrangements were conducted efficently and cordially by the owner in person.
Le Monetier is an interesting village and there is easy access by using the ski-bus to the other Serre Che resorts or by car further afield.
Highly recommended in my opinion."
