Renee went out of her way to ensure we had everything we could need
An outdoor area out of the weather would be nice but not a deal breaker

The location is very convenient, though close to the G. Parks Hwy still very quiet. Located in a vast green area with a lovely little lake on the premisses.
The wether however was against us, so we could not enjoy the wonderfull view on DENALI, which the neighbouring guests has greatly praised.
The breakfast was complete with a good choice.
There is nothing to complain.

The location is superior, with grand views of the Alaska Range and Denali from just outside the door. Quiet, with the sounds of ravens in the woods across the hayfields. Also exceptionally good; Denali State Park a half hour north and Talkeetna also a half hour drive. Breakfast was excellent, a buffet-style with eggs and meats, breads, fruit, yogurt, etc. When we return to the Denali area, this is where we'll be.

Everything about our stay was exceptional, the comfort of the room, the hosts made us feel so welcome, the delicious and outstanding breakfast, the amazing views off the back porch, and on and on.

Our stay here was great. We arrived in the designated checkin time and were greeted by the host. She walked us through the house and our room and got us settled in. The room was spacious enough with a nice setup. the bathroom was clean and well organized as well as stocked with basic essentials. The second door of the room led out to a patio where you can see out into the distance where Denail and some other mountains would be visible. We were able to catch a glimpse of denali at sunset when clouds cleared. we also got to witness some northern lights at night due to a solar flare that was expected during our stay.
the next morning, the host served us a great breakfast and coffee/tea. We appreciated that since we would have had to go find a place to get breakfast.
We really enjoyed our stay here and loved the host. She treated us like family and that was a great touch to the whole experience.

This was our second stay during our Alaska trip and everything was as good if not better than our first stay a few days prior. Host was amazing, the place was comfortable, we enjoyed the views and got to see northern lights as well from the comfort of our hotel, and the breakfast was really delicious once again. We would recommend everyone to stay here if they are in Talkeetna/Tapper Creek area. They really treat you like family here.

Renee was amazing. She made me feel right at home. The house is charming and well kept, and the property is stunning. Breakfast was delicious and included homemade jams made from fruit on the property (the white raspberry was my favorite). Renee is laid back and relaxed but with attention to every little detail.

Porch with an awesome view (it's awesome even when it's snowy and mt. McKinley is being shy)
Fantastic breakfast!

Bounteous delicious breakfast, beautiful view from the back porch, plenty of room to wander on the property. Room had queen bed and chest of drawers and hanging room. No table, one chair. Nice bathroom. Everything was very clean.
Maybe a path to the back door for bringing in luggage.

Nice place, nice host, comfortable room, great view, good breakfast
Dinner required a 50 mile round trip drive. This is a great place to stay if you are northbound and you eat dinner before checkin. Otherwise you have no close options for dinner.

I absolutely LOVED this property. Everything was as advertised. The only real con on the room is that the room door that faces outside is only a flimsy push lock that can easily be jimmied open.
The room was neat and clean and comfortable. Lots of nice little touches. The host, though a bit weird, was really nice.
The rest of it.
Things got scary weird.
First, the owner started talking about how she wished I was staying longer so she could talk to me more. Then she starts encouraging me to go out and pick and eat some of the berries she has growing outside. She tells me they are REALLY GOOD. I REALLY should try them.
I say, sure. I’ll give them a try later.
She then goes on to tell me that they are SOAP BERRIES.
Now, me being me, I’m the curious sort. I immediately googled Soap Berries.
The very first entries I find say that they are toxic to humans. I also see subsequent entries stating that they can be eaten safely in very small amounts but will likely upset your stomach or cause gastrointestinal distress. I also see they are bitter, rarely eaten raw and best used in small amounts in other foods – though they are most commonly used as homemade laundry or dishwashing detergent.
Now in all of this woman’s gushing about her soap berries, she did not ONCE mention any of the above.
So uh, yeah. I did not eat any of her berries. And no, I did not eat any of her other food either. (laugh)
Needless to say, this was both my 1st and last time at a B&B.

It was perfect.

The breakfast options were great; eggs, bacon, potatoes, yogurt, fruit, toast, juice, milk, coffee. There were even five types of jam for toast including salmonberry and fireweed.
The location is convenient to Talkeetna and about half way between Denali National Park and Anchorage. It was great to break up the drive.
