Four adults and 2 children stayed very comfortably in this home on the canal. The owners were nice and informative and very quick to respond. Having the storage space for our fishing rods and bait cooler was a great asset to the trip.

Great proximity to Cabana Club!

Chris is an outstanding host! Very responsive to every and any question we had. As for the property it couldn’t have been any better! Very comfortable for six adults with plenty of room to move around and socialize. You cannot beat the location as your only a five minute walk to the Cabana Club and Havana Jacks. Overall an excellent experience and hope to return soon!

Responsive host combined with a well stocked property made for a fantastic winter break down in the Florida Keys.

The perfect location to bring a boat and fish marathon Florida. Perfect location for either fishing inshore or offshore. The owner is very responsive to answer any questions you may have. We have nothing to complain about.

Check in was easy, owner communicated all the details up front and stayed in touch. The place was clean and had plenty air conditioned storage (underneath main unit). The Cabana club and a couple other venues are a short walk. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone staying in Marathon. Also, neighbors on both sides were owners and very friendly. The Atlantic was about a ten minute idle away, and the scenery made it feel even shorter. Chris and Kevin have a nice place, glad they shared it with us. Thanks, Sean

Beautiful property nice stay well equipped. We enjoyed are stay nicely decorated. I love the newly kitchen tile and floors. The Cabana Club was a little different the lady at the front checking people in was rude to my family and I, was surprised she didn’t need to be working with the public.

Very happy with our stay with family at this property. Everything that we needed and very clean. I had read a previous review about roaches, I spoke with the owner who was very pleasant. She told me that it had been taken care of a few weeks prior, and she was right. We didn’t see a bug in sight. I would gladly stay here again when in the Marathon area. Thanks.

This property is amazing! The house is large, beautifully decorated, and has everything you could ever imagine you would need. We were amazed at how thoughtful the host was with everything that is provided in the house. The dock is great and had plenty of room for our 23 foot boat, and it is a short boat ride to the ocean. The playground for the kids was just one block over, and it the cabana club was right down the street. The location of the house is perfect! The host was amazing and super friendly and answered all of our questions promptly. We had the most amazing time. The kids want to go back immediately!

We had such a wonderful stay here. Our trip was based around fishing. We trailered our boat down with us. Access to the dock was easy and has plenty of room, we have a 27' dock. Water, electric and filet station available. Everything was very convenient and a straight shot out the the ocean for fishing! Gulf side was an easy drive out to the Atlantic and through the pass. House was decorated so cute and comfortable. Perfect accomodations for our trip! We will be back!

Perfect location! Home was very comfortable and equipped with all the necessities. There was a problem with the AC, but the owner responded promptly to my call and worked quickly to get the problem fixed. We definitely would consider staying there again!

** COCKROACHES** This rental had cockroaches during our stay and it became the focus of our vacation/celebration of my dad's 80th birthday. We didn't realize these bugs we were killing since our arrival in the unit were cockroaches until 5 days in! We noticed the adjoining unit being treated. After that, cockroaches were running around more in the kitchen, in the toaster that we had already been using and bathroom sink countertop where our toothbrushes were. Imagine or horror. We sent pictures of cockroaches to the owner, who confirmed they were German cockroaches, which cause health issues and are very difficult to get rid of. The owner asked us to please kill any we saw - which we had been doing since our arrival and now had to do for the next two nights of our stay! They had it treated within a day, which chased the cockroaches into rooms we didn't notice them in previously, like the living/dining room, and front bedroom (the bedroom that wasn't properly cleaned after previous renter). There were now dead and alive cockroaches in the cupboards. One came out of the dishwasher soap dispenser. One was floating in the toilet. Many in the cabinet that housed the trash, every time it was opened. Cockroaches scattered when lights turned on, so we kept lights on 24/7 to keep them from coming out of the woodwork. ** POISON ** I was lightheaded and feeling sick from the treatment, long after it was "safe" to be in the treated space. Walking on the floors with bare feet felt dirty from both bugs and poison. ** FOOD ** We had a fridge full of food which we could no longer cook in a cockroach infested, poisoned kitchen and dry goods in the cabinet that had to be all thrown away. We had to eat out every meal from there on. $$$ ** SLEEP DIFFICULTIES, MENTAL ANGUISH ** Due to the heebie jeebies everyone had difficulty sleeping. At one point one of my nieces was crying it was so mentally challenging living in a cockroach infestation. ** RISK BRINGING COCKROACHES HOME** We are not yet sure if we brought home or to my dads as yet. We didn't know to take precaution until 5 days in. ** REFUND ** The owner refunded only 2 nights stay as if the cockroaches were only there for the 2 days after reported - but we had been killing them all week not knowing they were cockroaches! I am seeking a full refund. The owner is not replying to my messages.

The house was everything we expected & more. Very spacious & well equipped with all that we needed to cook & be comfortable. Beautiful canal view complete with a daily manatee visit every day for my daughter & boyfriend to enjoy! A short 2 min walk to the ocean side Cabana club to relax! We had a wonderful stay at Chris's property. The house is comfortable, well-equipped and the location is perfect for visiting the local beaches or just walking to the Cabana Club to enjoy the hot tub, the pool and the adjacent beach. We look forward to return visits to an amazing, small piece of paradise.

We really loved our stay at this cute KCB home! The owners were always quick to respond to any inquiries and were very helpful. There were many wonderful things about the place including, but not limited to, the cute nautical decor, the BIG TV, comfy recliners, well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and Cabana Club membership. Best of all was the dock (and fish cleaning station), as we had a small boat with us! The pelicans enjoyed eating our fresh catch daily, and we were easily able to access the ocean, gulf, and waterways for fishing and exploring. Can’t wait until our next stay!!

Close proximity to the ocean, The membership to the Cabana Club was a great plus, 72 inch TV in LR, that has DVR recording capabilities, vaulted ceilings, beautiful pictures, wall hangings and loved the reclining couch’s . Needs a garbage disposal.

The location was awesome. Close to everything you could ever need on a Keys vacation. The neighborhood is very nice. We felt safe at all times. Getting to the house from the boat ramp was simple and all water was deep and easily navigable. It is less than a 15 minute boat ride to fishing and snorkeling. The unit was very clean and we loved the nautical decor. We would without hesitation stay again.

Great place and easy access

A great, large sized Key Colony Beach home. The location is absolutely brilliant. Everything you need for a family/friends getaway is provided for you. Quiet water front canal location with dockage and walking distance to waterfront dining. We enjoyed our stay here, made many memories and would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to have a good base while exploring the Keys.

Family vacationGreat week enjoy the location of the property nothing was disappointing. Wish the AC and dryer worked better . The only other suggestion suggestion would be a ladder at the dock to get on and off kayaks and paddle boards. Absolutely a great property

We were in awe from the moment we opened the front door. From the decor to the beautiful floors, Everything was beautiful and as advertised. Very roomy and comfortable for our family with all the amenities we needed. The patio overlooking the water especially to enjoy the morning cup of coffee to watching the sunset. It was a pleasure to stay at your home.

The Internet connection was slower than dial-up. Typical speeds were <0.5 Mbps download even after rebooting the router. Plan an alternate means of connectivity if you have to connect for work or on a rainy day.

Communication with owner was quick and easy. Property was perfect for our very active family. We especially liked having the downstairs storage area for our gear. Perfect location. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook meals at home. Dock area was a little dark at night. Owner said lights were being replaced.

The property was as described in the listing. Nicely furnished, plenty room for our family of 5(2 adults, 2 kids, 1 senior) and bright living space when blinds are open! We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor upstairs space for dining and lounging. We rented a boat for the day and it was great to be able to pull right up to the house. We visited the Cabana Club but choose not to use the amenities (we preferred to visit and explore the public beaches and fishing spots in the surrounding area). Really loved the walking/biking paths throughout KCB for jogging and walking. We also enjoyed Sunset Park which has plenty of benches, an observation dock, restrooms, and water fountains. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens, towels and fully stocked kitchen.

Nice quite neighborhood. Pool club and beach a quick walk down the street. The host was quick to respond to our questions. Neighbors were very nice.

One of the nicer beach properties we have stayed at. Short walking distance to Cabana Club pool and ocean, comfy beds, kitchen utensils and board games. Minor inconvenience was that WiFi was spotty and inconsistent but not a huge deal since we were on vacation.
