We had a great time. The only thing was the little bugs that was in the boat house and around it and at the main house and getting inside. They need bug zappers.

The property was nice, was very clean, and well equipted

Great communication, nice and roomy property with wonderful views, beds were cozy, great TV accomodations. So many areas to gather inside and out. Played lots of Fusbal and Air Hockey!! Loved the water toys provided, and the boathouse with AC was nice!! Unforunatly the lake was a bit low so it limited what we could do on the water...but we still had a great time! Would recommend for sure!

We had a wonderful time!! Our children enjoyed the lake, and the kayaking and canoeing was a blast for all!! The air hockey was a favorite and the swing and rope at the boat house kept the children entertained.

I don't normally write bad reviews, but this has been bothering me. The house is fine, it's older, but suitable for families and friends...a typical lakehouse. There's some mold in the showers and the dock is super rickety and dangerous for kids, whatever.
The problem was that after our stay, the owner said she was charging us for damage to the boathouse doors from a DOG. We did not have a dog at this house. She sent pictures of the doors and said her cleaning lady and husband check before and after every guests stay. Judging from past reviews, we obviously aren't the first ones to deal with this.
Thankfully, we had spoken with the neighbor everyday and he was able to confirm we did not have a dog. This was the only reason she didn't charge us. We literally walked in the boathouse one time, looked around and that was it. It wasn't very nice so we had no reason to hang out down there as the back porch is much nicer.
We have stayed at many many rentals and never had an issue, so this was very disappointing.
If you book here, just make sure to document literally everything.

We had a great stay and everything was as expected. Very clean updated property. Plenty of water toys provided to keep busy and enjoy the lake with.

Overall great neighborhood, wonderful lake toys provided and a comfortable remodeled lake home. My family and I had an excellent time during our stay. The drought has hit TX hard, so the lake levels were surprisingly low and the water was warm. The house was super cool and comfy when we arrived which was so refreshing. My family and I we would recommend a stay here.

Lovely House
My husband and I had three teenagers and one young adult with us on our trip. We had so much fun! First off, the lake house is really nice! The beds are extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was really cold! It was so hot outside that we were so thankful that there were fans and air conditioning in the house! Thank you for that! We played a lot of foosball, a lot of games that were provided, did a lot of cooking indoors and on the grill outside, hung out a lot on the deck in the back. My family really enjoyed the lake! Love the paddle board! The kids had so much fun using it! They did s'mores at night using the grill! Yumm! The owner was very nice and answered all my texts. Thank you for letting us stay in your home! It was fun!

Great place!!
Super clean, great views, and great amenities with the house. Was too windy during our stay to use the kayaks, but that would have definitely added to the trip! Was still a great stay with the cornhole boards!

Beautiful views
We had no problems what so ever with the house it’s was very and large and the views of the lake are amazing. We brought our own towels and plates cups silverware and such so we didn’t need to use the ones at the house. We just missed having cable tv with everything going on and left early. Besides no cable I have no complaints. We will return again and the homeowner was very patient with us checking in , it was our 1 st Vrbo. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Good, but sparse.
The house was good overall. The layout of the house is nice and the outdoor space is great. There were a ton of rules to follow and be worried about. The door lock is very temperamental. Typically taking 2-3 tries to lock or unlock. We couldn't watch local stations, aka football games on the downstairs TV, because there is not a digital antenna. There were a minimal number of bath towels, only 2 upstairs and 4 downstairs. No hand towels or wash cloths. There were 9 of us staying a the property for 4 days and 3 nights. My brother had a bath towel start to pull apart on the first day. There was only one dishtowel available in the kitchen. The kitchen did not have any plastic cups or plates for the kids. The kitchen only had salt and pepper and the bare necessities in the kitchen. And only a few dishwasher and cloths washing tabs. The home looks to be completely cleaned out after every guest, which is disappointing, basically like staying at a hotel.

last minute make ready and lots of bugs , house was bug bombed within 24 hours of our arrival so everyone left with sinus and respiratory issues, alot of dead bugs inside and the boat house was infested with spiders, my wife was bitten 3 times on back back by something, not a mosquito, I can only assume it was a spider because there was so many of them, very narrow road, the house seemed to be ok other than the bugs but the outside and outdoor furniture was run down, very dissapointed

House on the Lake
Location was perfect for little kids. Water not deep near the shore and they liked jumping off the dock. Double bed bunkbed didn't work for little kids so we had to put them on the sofa. Open kitchen/living room was nice. Upstairs was warm. We had a boat, and no place to dock was a problem. Overall, a good time.

Positives: plenty of room, comfy beds, right on lake, lake toys to use if its not windy, great A/C in house, great TVs
Negatives: property seems unkept or overused (not super clean in house or outside spaces) grass too overgrown for yard games, minimal kitchenware, dried out wooden patio furniture, A/C doesnt work in boathouse, no good ladders/steps to get out of water, cannot tie up your boat at dock

Pleasant stay on the lake
Great place for the price. Nice yard for games and convenient boat house and dock. Especially nice having access to kayaks and paddle boards. Kitchen counters and sinks upstairs had quite a few ants, and the pull out sofa was uncomfortable. Recommend bringing an air mattress instead. Overall, would book again

Awesome home and property!
Twin Pines was great. Right on the lake. The place was roomy and neat, inside and out. Everything we needed was right there. Enjoyed the kayaks, canoe, and paddleboard. The house was spacious and updated. We will have to book it again on a weekend when it isn't raining!

Snow For New Years!!
We had a great time at the property. Sadly it was too cold to really enjoy the lake, but we got a lovely snow fall that we all enjoyed!! House was nice and beds were comfortable.

Although we rented this in the Winter and there was overcast and showers. We did not get to enjoy the patio deck and Lake. Over all a nice place to stay.

Great for a chill family getaway
Overall a nice property for our last minute family getaway. We decided about 3 days before Thanksgiving that we wanted to have a Thanksgiving holiday getaway right after Thanksgiving dinner. We found Twin Pines and the host, Maria, was very responsive in communicating with us on a short notice holiday stay. The house was clean with plenty of room for the 5 adults and 3 kids we had with us. They had all the basic stuff we needed, as well as a few kayaks and fishing poles with which to enjoy the lake, and nice outdoor seating areas. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great local getaway from the city
This was a great local getaway for our family, especially during COVID with so many restrictions. My 4 adult children, husband and mother all stayed at the Twin Pines home and it was a great fit for us. We brought our boat, fished off the dock, enjoyed lots of connecting. We enjoyed the kayaks provided and the outdoor games. Maria was easy to reach and provided prompt assistance when needed. I would recommend this to any family or group of friends looking for a great disconnect from the day to day grind.

Great for families!!
We enjoyed our stay at this property! The house was very clean and had everything we needed! The owner was easy to contact and had no issues with check in and check out. The only thing was the dock at the boat house wasn’t as clean as the rest of the house. Overall, it was a fantastic trip! Would definitely recommend!

Lake House Retreat
The house was very clean, and we really enjoyed our stay. Great location, and beautiful view of the lake! Just a suggestion to maybe have a few more kitchen supplies. (baking sheets, plates, cups,etc.) We had a great time, and would definitely recommend this property. Hope to be back soon! Thanks so much.

Family Gathering
We had family in from California, so we rented 2 lake houses. This was the smaller of the two, so we spent most of our time at the other location. The house is nice and clean and has an excellent view of the water. The kids enjoyed the swing at the boathouse. We had plenty of counter space for all of our groceries. The bathrooms are set up like hotel bathrooms with your towels, so that was very nice. Any question we had as far as where the extra pillows or sheets were located were answered on the laminated paper on the desk in the living room. We had a great time and would recommend staying here.

Peaceful setting, great views
Pictures are exactly as is, reservation and checkin/checkout process could not have been easier. House is very inviting, open, very clean, very well equipped for cooking, nice appliances & countertops, ALL the beds are very comfortable, host provides very nice "hotel" quality bedding and towels. This house has EVERYTHING you need and more. The boathouse and deck are great for fishing and just enjoying the peaceful sounds of the lake. The kids had a great time swimming in the lake. There's a rope and swing off the deck they enjoyed all day and host provides water skis, tubes, lifejackets. Will definitely book again!

Nice hone
Overall nice experience at twin pines, home is very nice and clean.
Parking was an issue, space is there but the garage door is so small we couldn’t get our trucks in so we had to park two trucks and boat trailers in town At a storage facility, but it was close so not a big deal.

Needs improvement for cleanliness and safety
Prompt communication with the owner. Specifically asked about cleaning due to covid19. The house was ok except for top of the stove dirty with caked in grime and sticky. Drinking glass on the cupboard dirty with sand like sediments. The top inside door of the dishwasher was dirty with also sandy sediments...
The porch and porch furnitures had cobwebs all over. One side porch railing and floor by the table were covered with caked in yellow bird droppings.
The windows were dirty.
The covered dock they called “ house boat” was filled with cobwebs and the floor boards of the dock were loose and had rusted nails that were coming off the wood and the swing had also rusted nail that stuck out. The sink at the dock was covered with black dirt. Unsafe.
Don’t get me wrong we enjoyed our stay because of the lake but we were scared for our safety. I’m hoping the owners will clean and maintain the structures better for safety.

Great weekend
Everyone loved this house! Great location, and friendly neighbor too. Owner was quick to respond with any questions we had. Only had one small issue while we were here, the light pole outside was not working but we were able to due without. Would definitely recommend this house for a nice quiet getaway.

Great house!
We had a fabulous time! The neighborhood looked a little sketchy when driving in but other than the neighbors next door throwing an all night long party, it was really quiet! House was super clean and HUGE. Loved the access to the lake and huge deck, patio and cabana for our outdoor fun. We will definitely be staying here again!!!

Great location, great fun!
We had a really good time! The view was beautiful. The house was very spacious and accommodating. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of sleeping options. The dock out back was awesome! We fished, floated, swam, and played every day we were there. The kitchen had good things for use - the only thing we could’ve used was a tray for cooking something in the oven. But other than that, we were extremely pleased with our stay here!

NIce stay on the lake
We had a nice stay at this property. The inside of the house is newly remodeled and very clean. It was lacking some basic supplies in the kitchen (coffee filters, salt and pepper, extra garbage bags) that kept sending us to the store-and no extra blankets. Nice access to the lake and the neighborhood is very quiet.
