We are a family of five and stayed at Villa Schuler Apartment C. The apartment was exactly as we expected (with the exception of the third bedroom not having airconditioning). The host Claudio was very easy to communicate with and was there to meet us when we arrived. He made an effort to provide a few extra things like washing powder, dish detergent, paper towels etc which was very much appreciated. The apartment was very clean and spacious with everything we needed for a lovely stay. The location is close to a supermarket and the top end of the old town but it is quite a long way to the beach. There is a big set of steps to get to the supermarket and town so probably not suitable for those who have trouble with stairs. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment. The view from the terrace is fabulous. Thank you Claudio.

We had an incredible stay at Residence Schuler, apartment C. The villa is very large and has beautiful classic Italian furniture in each room. A very spacious kitchen that was filled with every amenity we needed. We loved being able to have breakfast and enjoy afternoon happy hours on this stunning, sprawling terraces with the most beautiful view of the sea. Large floor to ceiling windows in the living room and master bedroom. Also allowed us to enjoy the beautiful views from those rooms from the inside. We found the beds and bedding very comfortable! - [ ] When you exit the flat and go to the right about one block, then there is a short steep driveway down to a staircase, and after a total of about a three minute walk you are right in the center of town. It was absolutely perfect. Claudio, the owner was a great host. We corresponded with him before our trip several times to ask him questions, and he always had fast helpful responses. He arranged for a car service for us from Catania airport upon our arrival at 10 PM from a driver named Carmelo, and that worked out great too. We ended up utilizing Carmelo several times during our stay in Taormina, and we were happy we did, as the streets are particularly windy and maze-like. We were so close to town, it was easier not to have a car, although the Villa does have a parking space for us to have had one. Great AC, WiFi, a smart TV, bookshelf with lots of books, lounge chairs, washing machine. We really loved this Villa!

This is a fantastic place to stay. Very roomy and comfortable. Best parts are the views from the Terrace and all the space both on the Terrace and the apartment. This was our favorite place we stayed in four different places in Italy

Our family of four adults and two infants thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Taormina. Residence Schuler is a very comfortable accommodation with great views from the very large terraces. The Mt. Etna view is really impressive. Corso Umberto is only a five minute walk. Claudio is a great host who went well out of his way to accommodate our needs.

Very spacious with super large master opening onto large terrace. Fabulous views of Mt. Etna and sea. Peaceful with lots of birdsong. Clean air. Had some rainy days end Apr into May. Walk down many steps to town/supermarket. Good shopping. Towels in unit need replacing.

we had a great time in Sicily-we loved the view and were happy we could park our car at the apartment. the one issue we had was that we had a lot of difficulty getting to the residence since the easiest route that was approximately 1/10 of a mile was a one-way street so we had to go around the town that took 15 minutes and got lost almost every time we left the apartment.

Our stay was really excellent! Claudio was very helpful and responsive. View from the deck is amazing! It is a short walk to town. Our only negative feedback would be for the place to have actual wine glasses. Otherwise, everything was perfect! We would definitely stay there again.

We loved our house located at what seemed to be the top of the world. It was clean. Anytime you needed anything we just asked Claudio and he got it for us. If you don’t stay here, you are missing out on a beautiful experience.

Our particular rental space at Residence Schuler had three bedrooms and two full baths. One of the bedrooms is fitted with two separate single beds, good for one other adult or two kids. The apartment is very well appointed with everything you’d need for an extended stay, with a full size refrigerator and all of the kitchen equipment your need for eating in if you wish. The furniture is very comfortable and the apartment is very clean, something that we can all appreciate. We spent most of our time on the shaded terrace, enjoying the stunning views of the coastline and Mt Etna. It’s a great spot all day long, from breakfast or for an after dinner drink. It’s in a really great location, just steps from Taormina’s main grocery store, and just beyond that the Catania gate entrance to the pedestrian only part of town with all of the shopping and restaurants. But being where it is located just outside of the Catania gate, it is just far enough to give you a quiet spot to retreat to after you’ve had enough of the crowds. We intend to return here next year, and that’s the best endorsement I can give! Claudio Schuler was a gracious host, seemingly always available to answer any questions you have about the property or questions you have in general about getting around Taormina.

This is a magnificent property perched just about the center of Taormina, with a capacious outdoor terrace offering stunning views of the coastline, the town below and of Mount Etna. Our host, Claudio, was outstanding in every way, punctual, responsive and very personable. The apartment was perfectly clean, a very comfortable refuge to which to return after a long day of rambling. Will be thinking about returning to this magical place once again, someday!

Claudio was the owner of the property. He was there to greet us and show us around the condo. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was spacious with great spaces. The view looking at the ocean from the deck was spectacular. Suggestions: if you rent a car then try and get a small one so it will fit better in Claudio’s space. If you come in on a Sunday, all the food stores are closed. I am not sure if claudio would do this but maybe ask him if he could pick up a few things for you. He also does not supply any shampoo conditioner or soap for the shower. There is only a small washing machine but he supplies a rack to hang your clothing which we didn’t mind at all. If we had any questions, Claudio was always available. We would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay at Schuler Residence in Taormina. Perhaps the only item that could have improved our stay would have been a list of where to find the local bakery, market and meat/fish stores etc. (they are not in the ‘tourist’ area). We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is going to visit Taormina .

We had a great stay and Claudio was very helpful. This property is in ideal location for walking to restaurants and shopping. Amazing views of ocean and Mt. Etna. The only recommendation I have is to add AC unit to main living area. Still a 5-star review!!!

Lovely apartment. Great view of the ocean and mount Etna. We arrived later than expected but owner greeted us and he showed us the apartment.

Het appartement is fantastisch gelegen met uitzicht op zee en de Etna. Alles is aanwezig in de ruime woning. Claudio is altijd bereid te helpen indien nodig. Parkeren in de parkeergarage is eenvoudig en op korte afstand van het appartement, dat op nog geen 5 minuten van de Corso ligt. Een paar trapjes en je bent er al. Heerlijk verblijf gehad, zeer aan te raden.

We spent the first week of September, 2019, in Apartment C. We found it exactly as advertised, a short (with several flights of steps like everything else in Taormina) walk to the main drag Umberto Corso, and a spacious terrace overlooking the town and coastline to one side, Mt Etna to the other. Claudio met us as the taxi delivered us, settled us in, and was readily available throughout the week. We used only the main bedroom, and it was very comfortable and welcoming. The property is close enough to all the activity to make it easy to get to Taormina's excellent restaurants an easy walk, but distanced enough to be quiet at night. We did not take advantage of the kitchen (we didn't travel that far to cook), but the kitchen was fully stocked and functional. We highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to be in Taormina who wants more space than a hotel room provides, with the amenities of a caring host and a fully equipped apartment.

Wonderful stay in Taormina! Property was great! Fantastic location, neat, clean and short walk to the main street, restaurants, shops and the grocery store! Claudio was the perfect host and will go out of his way to help and ensure your stay is worry-free.

Overall this property met our expectations. The home is clean and spacious. A short but spirited 4 minute walk into town with great views and lots of light. Photos really highlight the apartment and Claudio was very responsive and helpful, securing taxi reservations as well as hotel day passes for the pool and private beach club reservations (we traveled with 3 teens). I was anticipating privacy on balconies (apartment C) but we had neighbors above and next door. A screen divider would be lovely. Claudio had extra power converters and other helpful accessories, thank you! The one TV is pretty small FYI. The A/C was magic in the 95 degree F heatwave! Views from balconies were beautiful.

Spent 5 days at Residence Schuler in June. The property was just as advertised: neat, clean, great view, and great location. Mr. Schuler was very helpful and accommodating with helping us set up tours, transfers, etc. and with recommendations on activities and dining. Would love to go back.

Claudio Schuler is a wonderful host and offers an excellent accommodation that is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. It is well equipped, with comfortable beds and other accutrements, but the view from the spacious balcony and bedroom steals the show. With the crystal clear Ionian Sea straight ahead and magnificent Mt. Etna brooding and belching to the right, this was an an unforgettable home base for our Eastern Sicily travels.

We shared lovely Residence Schuler with another couple for two weeks this spring. Apartment has enormous living area, two large bedrooms with king beds and a third smaller bedroom with twin beds. Living room is comfortably furnished with three couches and dining table that accommodates eight. Large terrace offers another dining table and lounge chairs with views of sea and Mount Etna which are shared by living room and 1 bedroom. Well equipped eat-in windowed kitchen. Two full bathrooms, 1 with tub and bidet, 1 with shower. Very easy walk to all in Taormina including grocery store. Claudio was easily accessible and always most helpful.

Gorgeous view! Nice place with pretty gardens and terraces. Los of walking and stairs to get back and forth to town. Excellent host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Apartment C of the Casa Schuler. The apartment is elegantly furnished and immaculately maintained. Owner Claudio Schuler resides in another apartment in the building and is always available to address any problems or concerns. He anticipates the needs of his guests and made our stay effortless and enjoyable. He made very fine restaurant recommendations. The views from the gorgeous terrace are incredible and include the coastline and Mt. Etna. We hope to find this wonderful apartment available for us when we return to Taormina.

The apartment was spotless and was exactly as portrayed on Home Away’s site. The views of Etna and the Ionian Sea from the Balcony were breathtaking. Sunsets behind Etna came with great anticipation every night. The location of Residence Schuler was 5 minutes walk to Curso Umberto which offered easy access to many fantastic restaurants (especially Restaurant Tiramisu), churches (Duomo), Shops a a 1 Kilometer walk to the spectacular Greek Theater. Day trips to Etna, Savoca, and local Wineries highlighted our 5 day stay. Claudio was an attentive host, greeted us upon arrival with a bottle of local wine, offered recommendations for dining and suggested itineraries. We loved Residence Schuler and hope to return some day.
