Just magical and our host was fantastic. Full of information and made us feel like friends.

We were a group of 9 who rented a 9 passenger van in Florence and drove to the Villa. Believe Katia when she says not to follow Google Maps and follow her instructions! The road was a bit challenging but we made it. The Villa was a very clean, had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and Katia was a real gem! We were fortunate to have her prepare dinner for us one evening which was delicious! The pool was a nice size but we did not use it since was pretty cool while we were there. The property is large and beautiful with many areas for seating on all sides. The views are spectacular from each direction. Katia is very responsive to any requests. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family agreed that the stay at lovely Villa Murgiano was the ideal way to share time together during the special occasion of our niece’s wedding in Montespertoli.
Despite our difficulties at the very beginning and some rather tense 😬 driving situations on the narrow country roads, we wouldn’t have traded the memories for a different setting. Katia has done an excellent job of renovating a house over 500 years old into a warm, comfortable, charmingly updated residence that can be shared by so many others. And the gorgeous Tuscan sunsets are magnificent! We felt so fortunate to have had 10 days in Italy that were filled with sunshine in October.
We enjoyed our visits and talks with Katia, and her wealth of information…We wished our stay at the villa could have been a little longer to have more time to relax and enjoy the pool, hikes, and dinners “at home”.

A wonderful villa in the Chianti Hills and only 15 minutes from Florence. It is beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Alfresco dining with Multiple spots to sit outside depending on the sun and shadows. There is alovely clean pool during the day. Plan to spend a couple days at the Villa to rest up from touring

We were a group of 8 college friends and spouses in our 60's and 70's looking to explore Tuscany. This place was a gem! The charm factor was off the charts. It is actually more charming than the pictures. Our host did much to make our stay enjoyable. Wine was stocked for our enjoyment. Our request for food items was there when we arrived. The location is a stones through from Firenze, but yet out in the country. Provided was a binder with much information about shopping, restaurants and other things very helpful. We highly recommend this place and we hope to be back!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely villa. The home was more than large enough for our group of 6 - with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for us to entertain and hang out. The kitchen is well equipped, and stocked with all the basics you'd need. AC in the bedrooms, lots of windows, and ensuite in many of the bedrooms made for a comfortable stay. There is an overwhelming amount of charm and history in every corner. The host is delightful and a pleasure to work with. Would stay again!

The Murgiano Villa and the grounds were spectacular. Pictures do not do it justice. We were there for 5 weeks and the temperature was well into the 90’s. The pool was beyond refreshing. We used it every day. It was cleaned every day and the pool became our refuge from the heat. The only difficulty we encountered were the winding and narrow roads. We did rent a car but found the roads extremely difficult to navigate. Let me state that you will need to rent a car to drive to the small towns to get provisions. Eventhough Florence was 20 minutes away, driving and parking was hard. We did try to use the Taxi App which was unreliable. Therefore, we used private drivers suggested by the host, Katia. Speaking of Katia, we found her attentive and simply lovely. She shared a wealth of historical knowledge and was very responsive to our needs while also respecting our privacy. Murgiano is great for extended family and/or a group of friends. We will treasure the memories that we made there.

The Villa did not disappoint. Beautiful countryside, vineyards and olive trees.
Very Rustic. Be careful of additional charges at the end of your stay.

The villa was perfect. The scenery was amazing and the villa had tons of characters, was comfortable, clean and met all our needs. Caterina provided us with contacts for a driver/tour guide, Angelo, and a cook, Laura, and they were both amazing. You will need a vehicle, though, to go to the grocery store and area restaurants. Caterina is fascinating and we enjoyed our visits with her. I would definitely recommend this villa for anyone wanting to experience a wonderful Tuscan vacation.

Our group of family and friends stayed at Caterina's villa for a memorable week in September. The location was ideal for trips to nearby wine towns and Florence. And, fortunately, the villa is stocked with all the basics (some produced at her family's local fattoria), simplifying grocery shopping for breakfasts. We will definitely return for another visit!

Beautiful property, beautiful views and we enjoyed our stay with friends very much. The home is well equipped with everything to make our stay great. Katia was very helpful in answering all our questions about visiting the area. We look forward to returning another time.

The villa and grounds were incredible. The week we were there was over 100 degrees every day, so it was difficult to spend too much time outside, except for the infinity edge pool, which made it wonderful. The home was very well stocked and we used the laundry, and cooked at home many nights. We can't wait to go back!

Italian Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time in this lovely villa. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults, 6 kids. The pool was a welcomed respite from the hot July sun. Easy to get into Florence and take day trips. A car is a must! The views are to die for!

Amazing villa in the Tuscan hills
The villa was exactly as pictured. The location was perfect for day trips to other Tuscan towns and into Florence The pool was beautiful and so relaxing. Our host was delightful and very helpful. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the villa and interesting facts about the area.
Our week there was the highlight of our 3 week tour of Italy. We have already planned to return next year! It was the experience of a lifetime!

Outstanding Visit on Beautiful Property
This was our second stay at this Vineyard home and it did not disappoint. Katia, the owner, was a perfect host and was available to help at all times. Over three weeks we had family and friends visit. At any time we had between 4 and 12 people stay with plenty of room. For everyone.
Strongly suggest a car or 2 as it was only a 15 minute ride into Florence. Great restaurants in town and other nice places in Impruneta nearby.
AC worked well in the warm summer and pool was enjoyed by our guests.
We strongly recommend Murgiano for your next visit.

Quiet paradise in Tuscany
Amazing! The property was beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. Very picturesque waking up to the views from the villa. The villa had everything needed for our family of 4 adults and two 5 year old boys to be happy. Pool was gorgeous and refreshing. The host was extremely kind and accommodating. We cannot wait to return for longer!

This was my second stay at this villa ! The first was four years ago and I knew I would return as soon as possible. The property offers spectacular views, sleeps 12 comfortably and sports a beautiful pool. On this trip, my son got married at the villa ! They were overjoyed with the venue. I will plan another trip in the near future and I highly recommend it for other visitors.

Villa Murgiano was everything we had hoped for and so much more! As other reviewers have already mentioned, the photos in the VRBO listing are lovely and accurate, but they cannot do justice to the tranquil, restorative setting of this villa. The surrounding hills, vineyards and olive trees, along with villas and cypress trees on the horizon, truly do make you feel one with the Tuscany of your dreams. It is oh, so private and stunning to behold! Rise early and enjoy every sunrise!
Comfortable furniture inside and out, a fully-equipped kitchen, full-size bathrooms, beds that welcome you with fresh comfy sheets and pillows, room to spread out and separate from each other as needed, a reliable WIFI... I could go on and on about how much at home we all felt here. Although we were at the villa too early in the season to enjoy the pool, we could see clearly how clean and cared for the pool area was. It was so inviting, and we enjoyed lounging around it with drinks during our April stay.
After four weeks, it was very hard to leave this paradise that had become like home to us.
A special thank you to Katia, our most gracious, entertaining and helpful owner. She was always there for you via Whatsapp texting if you needed her, but her presence in the adjacent cottage was never a privacy issue. Rest assured that you will feel cared for here but not shadowed.
Some suggestions for future guests- although it is not easy to drive the winding, narrow Tuscan roads, having a car is pretty much a necessity if only for grocery errands and trips to Florence. (Our tip- Park for free at Piazzale Michaelangelo, walk down a quick easy mile to the city and enjoy! Taxi back up to car for 6-8€. We did this often and loved it!). The washer and dryer work well - don't overpack! Hairdryers with adapters are in all bathrooms. Buy and consume the Murgiano products available at the villa! The olive oil, honey and wine are lovely! Hiring a private driver for tours and wine tasting trips is the way to go! Katia will recommend one or two to you. Our driver, Angelo, was spectacular! He became part of our family almost immediately.
A special thank you, Katia, for sharing your Mimi with me. She meant more to me than you'll ever know!

This property has everything we could have possibly asked for. While just a few miles and a short drive from Florence it is in a rural setting. A locked gate followed by a Olive tree lined private drive leads to an immaculately kept estate with beautiful vistas of Tuscan hills on all sides. Spacious enough to easily accommodate our family of 10, this home, with 100's of years of history, has had all of the modern conveniences added without detracting from it's historical charm. The delightful estate owner Caterina was available to provide interesting historical background on the property, helpful information regarding nearby restaurants, etc.

Beautiful Tuscany
We had a wonderful stay at Murgiano! The house has such history and was very comfortable. There were sitting rooms and kitchens on both floors. Comfortable beds and a quiet good nights sleep. We had everything we needed there and more. Several sitting areas on the outdoor decks with spectacular sunset views of the Tuscan countryside. Catia

This house was wonderful. It comfortably for our group of 7. Our group loved spending time outside - there are excellent views and many places to sit, and the pool area was also great. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious so that many of us could cook at the same time. Finally, the house has a bedroom with a handicapped bathroom on the first floor which was great member of our party had difficulty traveling up and down stairs.

We spend two weeks in the fabulous Toscan vila with the families. A real treat and you into Toscan lifestyle as soon as you arrive. Florence just a few km’s away, Chianti region at your doorstep and the house has all you need from a pizza oven to a swimming pool and multi seats to have dinner or drinks. We highly recommend this place for families. Thank you Katya for your hospitality!

All the stories you hear about the magic of Tuscany - you will find them here! My family did for sure! We felt worlds removed from the hustle of Florence, but it was only a 22 minute drive for us in our rental car from the villa to the Ponte Vecchio on the days we wanted to go into the city. The owner, Catherine, was a wonderful host and very kind and responsive to my questions before the trip. She personally oversaw the renovations of this 15th century villa years ago, and you can really feel the love she has poured into it when you stay here. She owns the winery just up the hill, and she'll keep you fully stocked with her delicious wines and olive oils that are produced from the grapevines and trees growing in every direction you look from the villa. In our party were my wife and I and our three kids - ages 10, 8, and 3 - and all three said that their favorite thing about our 16 days in Italy was their time at the pool here in Tuscany. It is somehow even better than it looks in the photos. Thank you, Catherine, for an incredible stay and wonderful memories made for our family in Tuscany!

This is a fabulous property that is very conveniently located. It has all the charm of the Tuscan country side and yet very drivable to the Florence city center. It would be a great place to spend some time during summer and winter alike. The wine in that area is amazing.

Exceeding Expectations
The property is in the most amazing location and the Villa far exceeded our expectations.
My family and I totaled 10 people. Everyone loved the Villa and our host, Caterina. We highly recommend this Villa and Caterina to everyone headed to Tuscany. The Villa is conveniently located 8 Km south of Florence. I do recommend that future guests rent a car.
Caterina is a wonderful host. She is organized, intelligent, interesting, gracious, humble, and funny. She did everything possible to fulfill our every need. Everyone in my party absolutely loved meeting and spending time with her.
The Villa is exactly as depicted on the rental website. It is several hundred years old with more character, charm, and beauty than one could hope for. Plenty of room inside and our for a larger group.
Overall, this was an amazing time and we would rent this Villa again.
If you are considering renting this Villa, do it now before someone else beats you to it. This is an experience you will never forget.
Thank you so much Caterina.

Our Italians and US family had a wonderful week at Villa Murgiano. Special time for young ones.
The Villa is in a beautiful olive grove and vineyard but close enough to Florence and other points of interest. There are many places to visit, shop, and have rewarding, and memorable meals!
The pool provided a welcome break from the Tuscan summer temps and an endless source of fun for all!
We were warmly welcomed by the owner and staff. The Villa is spacious and super comfortable. The views are awesome.
It is without any reservations that we recommend Villa Murgiano for family reunions or just a quiet place to recharge one’s batteries!

Stunning Villa
This villa completely exceeded our expectations in every way: impeccably decorated, sparkling clean, rich in history and very comfortable-all at once! We were traveling around Italy in a family group with little ones as well as elderly relatives and the home had something for everyone. Katia thought of every single detail (crips sheets, white towels, every kitchen item a cook could require, gorgeous pool, multiple seating options both outdoor and indoor, pool towels, charming little coasters everywhere, beautiful wines and olive oils & many other special accents). If you are looking for a villa that will give you a special Tuscan experience and all the comforts of home-this is for you. The estate had a luxurious feel & we truly felt like we were on vacation. We were able to cruise in Firenze in under 25 minutes & also explore the nearby Tuscan villages in under an hour as well, we loved exploring & then returning to the Villa in the evening. Katia herself was a total gem of a lady, so warm and welcoming & had the most wonderful presence. We loved talking with her & she responded to our WhatsApp questions quickly. She made us feel that her home was our home during our stay, and for people who travel as much as we do, that was a unique and memorable touch. Thank you Katia for all!

Beautiful!!
We loved our stay in this beautiful farmhouse. The online pictures DO NOT do it justice. We felt like it was our own personal Italian retreat during our stay - so quiet & peaceful and the views are just incredible!! We especially enjoyed our dinners on the terrace prepared by local chefs. The pool was great for the kids (and adults!) Ms. Corsini was wonderful - very easy to work with. We hope to return and visit with her more! We really enjoyed her estate wine, too! We rented a car but preferred taxis (35 euro into Florence). We were two families (4 adults & 4 kids) and there was more than enough room in the farmhouse. Thank you again, Katia!!

Magical Villa!
We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Villa MURGIANO for a joint birthday celebration. The size, amenities, comfort, and proximity to a major city makes this an excellent and authentic rental opportunity. Plenty of room for the guests to spread out or have personal time, the Wi-Fi is of good speed and quality. A small car is essential as the roads are tight, close proximity to Florence and Sienna as well as supermarkets, a COOP or Essalunga with a wide variety of produce. The villa remained cool thanks to the thick stone walls and there were no problems with mosquito’s providing you keep the doors and windows closed and light the coils in plenty of time for evening dining. The wine and olive oil harvested on the estate is of excellent quality and modestly priced, the red wine in particular was exceptional value.
There are spectacular views over the Tuscan hills which change with light variations throughout the day. Tuscany also has the best silence in the world. The magnificent pool and numerous eating areas with pizza oven and charcoal barbecue add to the property of which the photographs do not really give it justice.
The host is available on WhatsApp for any queries but the extensive information pack covers off on most questions anyone would have. I would thorough recommend this rental the memories will last a life time.
