Rachael’s Rest truly is a home away from home. It is relaxing, comfortable and well appointed with everything you need for a break. We were pleased to have the option of dining out or eating in depending on how we felt on the day. Very convenient with having a Morrisons store close by. We would definitely stay here again should we be in the area.

The accommodation was immaculate, well presented and comfortable with a generous welcome pack. A bit of traffic noise if out in the back garden. Lots to do in the area-we ran put of time so hope to return. A very friendly area to stay in.

The property was great with lots of extras,very clean everything you could want.
The only little thing was sofas very uncomfortable,but as the weather was good not in much.

Small but welcoming the property is very clean, well presented and decorated beautifully to represent the coastal town and area in which it is situated. An ideal base to explore this area of coast and castles. The hosts are very helpful.

We use self-catering accommodation once or twice a year and this is one of the best we have stayed in. Bruce got in touch beforehand and was very helpful. There was a wonderful welcome pack awaiting our arrival and he checked via text while we were there. After leaving he kindly informed me of an item that was found and is sending it on. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay or better hosts.

A second stay at this property - so it must be good. Can't think of anything else we needed whilst staying there. So much to see and do within a couple of hours drive. I think we'll be back again as we still haven't seen everything.

Rachel’s Rest is such a comfy immaculately clean accomadation. We stayed 4 nights. It was home from home everything you need is at hand. Fully equipped kitchen comfy beds.
Ten minute walk into amble where ther is restaurants cafes and pubs.
The area where Rachel’s Rest is is really quiet and has a pretty back garden with table and chairs.
The communication with the hosts Bruce and Maureen was excellent. So worth a visit and stay.

The location allowed us easy access to all points from Hadrians Wall to Berwick on Tweed. Excellent welcome pack too!

What a lovely base from which to explore the coast of Northumberland. Rachael's rest was scrupulously clean, modern and welcoming. The touches and treats added by Bruce and Maureen, the property owners were very much appreciated. It was also great to have a property with off-street parking.
The property is situated within a ten minute walk into the small town of Amble as well as a quiet beach. We very much enjoyed sampling the delights of Amble. We would highly recommend The Fish Shack, La Famiglia, The Taj Mahal and Radcliffe's Cafe Bar.

Cannot fault this property 5 star in every department. A lot of thought had gone into the comfort and enjoyment of the guests. A lovely welcome pack on arrival and if needed easy contact with the owners.

Fabulous home
I’ve stayed in lots of holiday homes/ cottages and I have to say this house is amazing .
It is so well equipped you really do not have to take anything with . Even the welcome pack is special .the hand bath towels are thick and new , the whole house is beautiful kept and if you get the sunshine the patio garden at the rear of the house is a real sun trap.
Very easy to get into town a Morrison’s supermarket at the top of the road

Rachel's Rest is a wonderful little holiday home with everything you could ever need. It was spotlessly clean with little extras like cereals and milk, sweeties, salt pepper ect. We could not fault it, it's the perfect place to explore the beautiful countryside. We would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed a lovely Easter break at Rachael's Rest. The house is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a self catering holiday- the extra touches were much appreciated. The house is perfect for a couple (but can house 3 as there is a 2nd bedroom), and is really stylishly decorated and well cared for. We didn't use the garden, but it looked like a great area for breakfast on a summers day, or a nice place to relax on a warm evening. Location is great, few minutes to walk to the coast, and Amble centre/harbour. We certainly hope to return!

A fabulous house close to the centre of Amble. The house was extremely well equipped and the welcome pack was great. A great location to visit the North Northumberland coast. Extremely good places to eat in Amble, within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Rachael's Rest is small but perfectly formed! A very neat, exceptionally clean and well appointed house on the edge of Amble. Everything has been thought of by the owners and we felt truly welcomed and comfortable. A perfect base from which to explore the lovely surrunding area.

Booked Rachel’s Rest for a short break in between Christmas & New Year. Excellent communication by the owners & was able to access the house early, lovely surprise with the Christmas tree & welcome pack. Well equipped with everything you would need & immaculately clean. Would highly recommend.

Perfect getaway
Communication was great throughout, especially since we’d purchased this as a gift for our parents. They really appreciated all the little thoughtful touches, the wine, biscuits and chocolate were the perfect arrival treat! The house was exactly as the photos and the location was great. Couldn’t have asked for more, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Very well appointed and in a quiet location near to beach/town
Very welcoming, really sparkling clean and the hosts were excellent communicators. Plenty of everything in the house (too many cushions for us!!). It was such a lovely surprise to find welcoming wine, beer and chocolates. Thank you and we would recommend it, and like to stay again.
