Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. There is no room to store food so everything that didn’t have to go in the refrigerator or freezer sat on the counter. The beds were uncomfortable (too soft) and twin beds felt like you were on a raft in a pool. All beds need fresh new bedding. All pillows smelled dirty. Plenty of spiders throughout the house. There were no extra towels and washcloths were not provided, the windows let in a lot of cold weather. Washer was dirty and smelled. I washed one load and it smelled like the dirty washer. The one load took 2 hours to dry. Hot water ran out quick. Toaster is old and smelled like burning plastic when we tried to use it. All knives were dull and no knife sharpener available. The couch had spider webs between the cushions. Parts of house were cold and too hot. Those are the negatives.The positives are The property management was professional. The house was close to the ski resort and the dishwasher cleaned awesome and the view was beautiful for sunsets.

We plan all our meals around using the BBQ so had to buy one for the stay.

Great private location w/views looking out the large interior windows and two generous size decks. Has an updated laundry area and lofty spaces w/smart TV’s. This was our second stay at the property. The house has potential for improvement. New bedding w/extra pillows would easily bring up the comfort level. Overall it’s fine, but lacks a little in luxury. Thanks.

Most storage areas are elected included, pantry, garage and linen and storage. All your groceries must sit in counter. No games or cards of any kind to play. The garage was locked so we had to carry our bikes and paddle boards up the stairs everyday. Local resident punch cards to access private beaches could have been provided with little effort. We asked for card but declined. We were fortunate we had a friend that gave us a punch card for our full stay. Overall, the house was clean, quiet neighborhood and great view of lake from deck.

This property was very well appointed with a nice kitchen and plenty of sleeping areas. There was even a service to keep the snow off the driveway and steps.

Unfortunately in true 2020 fashion the lake was often hidden from the marvelous balconies Because of the many fires this week. The beds are super soft just as a known fact. Also the ceiling fan in the master needs repaired or replaced. There were floor fans in the closet so we left it off and used them instead. We would return another time.

The house was VERY clean and had everything we could have needed. With the house being very comfortable and in a quiet location along with the views of the lake, we truly enjoyed our stay.

convenient north shore location

Overall enjoyed the house & the views. It was spacious & inviting. All the TVS worked & some were Smart TVs so the kids liked that! Negatives: Property Management, Delayed check in, had to wait for property management company to find the key for us. They had only a answering service which doesn’t know much, this caused us almost 2hr check in delay. They only provide 1 small towel per person, not enough. The master bed isn’t on any frame & is uncomfortable. Need to upgrade master bedroom bed & add furniture since there are no drawers either. Also no window coverings behind the master bed, so sunlight shines in early. No window coverings in master bath shower either so felt like not much privacy. If these items were updated would give it a 5 star.

Everything was just as we imagined it, perfect! We had such a great time and we were very happy with the home. Super clean! Just an FYI to future guests, there is a driveway for parking but it's at an incline. Luckily there was flat parking spaces available at a short walk. Overall very pleased with our stay and would definitely book again.

More beautiful in person than the pictures! The view and the kitchen are fabulous. The rooms with lots of space. It’s a must this place if you go the incline.

It was a cute neighborhood that made you feel like you were in the swiss alps. All the homes were the same style. The home had nice views of the lake. Nicely decorated. Had a great time with adult children.

This was our second Thanksgiving at this wonderful property (aka Steve). Steve contains a large master suite and two cozy and comfortable rooms, two modern baths, a bright and airy big room, and a dining area that accommodated our guests for Thanksgiving dinner. The kitchen is fully operational and contains all the items needed to prepare a big meal. Wraparound decks provide peek-a-views of the lake. Neighbors houses are situated away from Steve, creating a private, quiet, tranquil atmosphere. Steve features a massive collection of eclectic reading materials for your enjoyment: mystery novels, non-fiction books on current events, picture books on speed machines as well as nature. The flat screen cable TV in the living room is fully functional and a welcome feature for our football fan guests on Thanksgiving day. Steve's decor features several beautifully crafted model boats. Steve is just a few miles from the village. We have enjoyed our two Thanksgiving celebrations with Steve and hope to visit again.

We had a delightful stay at this home. We chose the house because it seemed like a good value for the features and rate, and it was. We were four adults staying in the three spacious bedrooms. As advertised, the three rooms can accommodate two persons each for a total of six if four of the occupants don't mind sharing a bed. The house is located in a colony with several other properties nearby, but this particular house is situated on the side of a hill with lake / trees view out the main living areas and has a private feeling. The home itself was clean, comfortable, tastefully furnished (including lovely miniature model boats), and in excellent repair. There are large wraparound balconies on both levels, a barbeque, wooden patio table and lounge chairs outside. The spacious 'big room', consisting of living room, dining room and kitchen, perfectly accommodated our twelve person Thanksgiving dinner. The bathrooms and floors were spotless and new. Everything worked and the kitchen and cabinets were sufficiently stocked for our Thanksgiving meal. Nice touches included a large dining room, comfortable couches and chairs, vast bookshelves of reading material as well as many dvds, and TVs + dvd players throughout. Unlike the previous reviewer, being in such a beautiful setting, we did not place a high premium on watching TV, although the cable TV worked fine and kept our football fan visitors happy. Perhaps the previous reviewers were older and a bit particular. The driveway is indeed steep, as are the stairs into house, but a reasonably fit older person should not have a problem and neither did our three guests who are in their 70s. The reward for this climb are the views and the isolated feel. We would not hesitate to rent this property again.

I would not recommend this property. The 4 TV's did not work when we arrived, and we were told by a manger that it was an ongoing problem at this property. The cable company came out and was able to get 2 of the 4 TVs working. When we called about getting the other 2 TVs working we were informed the cable company could not get back out until after our departure. The property management company finally gave us a small discount for our trouble. It was hot during our stay and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom is noisy and cannot be used, the outside umbrella is broken, the dishes and cookware are terrible. The driveway is on a huge incline and was hard to navigate in the summer...I can't imagine what it would be like in the ice and now. I will not stay at this property again and would not recommend it.
