Overall a relaxing and wonderful, carefree stay. In detail: Location is truly peaceful and remote with not a sound. Room is soundproof and very comfortable but towels are sometimes in short supply. Very friendly and welcoming hosts who give you privacy, yet are always available when needed. They were also very flexible in meeting specific demands (e.g. earlier than usual breakfast or early departure/arrival times). Swimming pool has shade in the morning and late afternoon and is comfortable though somewhat small if multiple guests seek to make use of it at the same time. Breakfast was excellent, including croissants, chocolate cookies, sometimes pancakes, always yoghurt and fruit and orange juice with jelly as well as hot beverage of one's choice. Only downside is that if you stay during an extended period of time, there is few variation in the elements that make up breakfast, e.g. no eggs are ever offered.

The peace and quiet, the view, the spacious room, the tasteful decor, the super-kind service without fuss, the wonderful jams for breakfast.

We expected more toiletries to be provided, and the coffee served at breakfast was a bit lukewarm and weak, but these complaints are too minor to alter the general rating.

Dream hosts, beautiful location, stylish interiors

Amazing setting among the vineyards and across the courtyard from a monastery. Classic french style house with modern facilities. Very lovely hosts and an amazing breakfast on the Loggia. Peace and quiet. Close to villages.

A beautifully restored place in the middle of vineyards, superbly clean with the most comfortable beds. Our special thank you for a beautiful dinner made for us by the host Gersende and an equally wonderful breakfast. We had a very pleasant stay with you and wished we could have stayed slightly longer. Thank you very much!

This place is a real gem. The location is in the countryside and incredibly peaceful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The Chateau is also an active winery and has a cave where you can purchase wines made on the premises.

Beautiful building and views were stunning. Hosts were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much. We took the opportunity to have food with them as there is nothing close by. Delicious!!

Directions were difficult

Chartreuse de Mougeres is ca10 km outside Pézenas in lovely wineyards and opposite a church, it was a very wonderful stay. A very big suite, everything spacious, the hostess very nice and helpful, they sell wine so you don't need a shop, breakfast was rich and good. In nearby Caux you may have dinner but its nothing special, much better at the seaside near Agde, a lot of fish restaurants, a nice coastal sand strand, toilets, everything nearby, incl Chateau Abbaye de Cassan, interesting to visit.

Nice young servant unexperient, did not understand we wanted cheese, she insisted on "fromage blanc", which is more or less joghurt or caillebotte. Hostess cleared the situation, than breakfast was wonderful. Wifi does not work in suite, only at breakfast place.

The wonderful design, the rooms view, drinking very nice rosé wine next to the pool while the sundown. The charming treatment of the hosts ( thanks to Gersende and to the very young and gentle waiters😉 who served a very good dinner and breakfast ). We will visit you again!
