Riverfront 4 bed Home Very private Great views Great trout fishing out back

Your place is AWESOME! The opportunity to walk through the yard & fish the breathtakingly beautiful Kenai River is amazing! I have priceless pictures of my sons, husband & brother fishing!
I gave your property id to a lady from Atlanta in Seattle airport who plans on salmon fishing in 2025.
Thank you for your hospitality!

This was by far our favorite VRBO house! The house was fully stocked. The location is perfect. We fished for salmon in the Russian River and caught quite a few. We went rafting, which was just a couple of minutes from the house. We also did a glacier tour down in Whittier. The view from the house is amazing and so relaxing. We hope to be back in a couple of years and will definitely see if this house is available. The hosts were very accommodating and available if needed. This was a trip where many great memories were made.

We really enjoyed staying at this house right on the river. We had plenty of space for everyone and really enjoyed the outside space. What could be any better than walking out the back door and fishing next to the campfire spot just a few feet from the house? It was great! The house had everything we needed for the 4 days we were there.

We stayed for 10 days in July 2023 and ventured out daily for activities. Approximately an hour to most places Seward, Kenai, Soldotna, Girdwood. 2 1/2 from Anchorage, Homer and the Homer Spit. Great fishing, float trips, and hiking in the area. Michael is a wonderful host and helped up meet all of our needs including extra keys for when our party wanted to spend days exploring separately. We enjoyed the gazebo out back and a bon fire by the river while the boys fished. Well stocked kitchen and many unexpected supplies were available in the house (including bear spray!). Our family would definitely stay here again.

Great Alaska family vacation. Beautiful views and great fishing from the backyard. Great location for all activities. House was perfect for our family of 6 and a 15 month old toddler. The house had plenty of rooms for 7 of us. Had portable crib and a high chair. Kitchen stocked and amenities were fantastic. Michael was great in helping us with fishing information and helped with fishing rentals. The house does have some rods to use. We definitely will return.

Fishing in the back yard! Plenty of room for our group of 5. Kitchen was beautifully stocked with everything we needed. Firestick TV was great. We missed the second Silver run but had a blast catching Rainbows and Dolly Varden up and down the Kenai. Laundry was handy.

Best of Trip.
The three days our eight-person adult family group spent at this house were unanimously voted to be by far the best three days of our 10-day trip to Alaska, because of the house itself and because of the many active things you can do while staying there.
First, in the house everything was clean and in good condition. The owners provided much useful information in advance of our trip and the house manager, Michael, was very responsive and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed cooking meals at the house because the kitchen is so well equipped, and lots of basic food items are supplied, like salt, pepper, coffee, tea, olive oil, spices and canned goods. The outside gazebo was a fun space to spend a long evening.
Second, the location is perfect, no more than two minutes from anything we wanted to do in the area. We rented fishing equipment, fished for trout off the nearby riverbanks, hiked the trail to the Russian River, did a half-day float trip down the Kenai River, and had the unexpected chance to be there for the first day of the second Sockeye salmon run. We had great cocktails and dinner at Gwin’s, and a pleasant lunch and beer tasting at the dog-and-kid-friendly Cooper Landing Brewing Company on the banks of Lake Kenai. On our drive from Anchorage to the house, we also saw several sites along Turnagain Arm and visited the Wildlife Conservation Center on the drive to the house and did a very successful 6-hour iceberg-, whale- and wildlife-watching cruise out of Seward to the Kenai Fjords National Park before returning to Anchorage. We all wished we had more days at the house to explore other parts of the Kenai Peninsula, particularly Homer, Soldotna and the Portage Valley.

Lots of space, generous owner and wonderful fishing spot!
Everything about our stay was top notch. The spare fishing gear, the very friendly hosts and great fishing location. I definitely plan on returning someday. Thank you again for making our first trip to Alaska so wonderful.

Great Family Experience
This is an amazing property and the cabin has room to spare for large groups. I can't say enough good things about this place and I fully intend to stay there again. Cooper Landing is a small town and has pretty much everything you need, there's enough things to do to stay busy, plus its only about an hour either way to the coast.

Very Best Vacation Rental in the Kenai Peninsula
We were a group of 5 adults - myself, husband, sister-in-law, BIL, and family friend. This is the 2nd time we have rented this property, and it will definitely not be the last time. The 1st time we rented here was 2 years ago, and there was 10 of us - my husband and I, our two children and their spouses, and 4 grandchildren. We all cohabitated comfortably and everyone had their own private space. The house and grounds are spectacular. The location is situated perfectly as a base camp for day trips to Anchorage, Seward, Homer, Sterling, and the whole Kenai Peninsula area. We had good cell service, and the wifi worked great. Cannot attest to the TV's cable or satellite reception, as we never turned the TV on even once during our vacation. Who watches TV while vacationing in Alaska??? The owners, Rick and Karol, are so friendly and easy to work with. We have become family. The property manager, Michael, very quickly became a lifelong friend, also. He has made it his personal goal to make sure your stay is perfect in every way, right down to teaching us how to fish in the river at the backyard. Michael replies to texts and phone calls immediately, and will get you whatever you need ASAP (we ran out of paper towels, and there was a case of them, among other items, waiting on the porch when we came back from a fishing trip!). Rick, Karol & Michael are truly the best "landlords" we have ever rented a vacation home from. We will be coming back every year. I highly recommend this property for your Alaskan vacation stay!

Pretty enjoyable
Our overall stay was quite enjoyable, and except for the cleaning policy I discuss below, I would definitely stay here again. The king bed was super comfy and the sheets very soft. There is ample space for a lot of people and plenty of amenities. The location is perfect on the Kenai River, which is just gorgeous, and a good base for anything between Cooper Landing and Seward. The hosts were great in sending us activities and eateries information before our arrival. All of this is 5 stars.
My only complaint is that we are paying for cleaning but had to take our trash out of all cans and put it in the garage. This is more than what I pay to have my own house to be cleaned and I don't take the trash out of the cans. I wish this information was included in the policy section of the property listing, along with whether we have to strip the beds (yes) and take all towels to the laundry room (yes) so that we know what we're getting for our money. I think this is a little misleading to discover it upon arrival. I think if VRBOs are going to act like hotels with their pricing structures (some price for two people and then charge extra for additional people), then owners shouldn't expect renters to take out their own trash, especially if they charge a cleaning fee, or be up front about what's expected from renters.

Fishing & get away
We stayed for 3 nights, with our 2 grandsons. The yard with the swings was perfect with the children, running, playing tag. Also the screened in gazebo worked well for us to be in during the day. There is plenty of space for a family. The view is phenomenal, so relaxing. We definitely recommend staying here.

A perfect place to stay in Cooper Landing
This location is perfect place to stay if looking for just a gorgeous property to enjoy both inside and outside or the active angler looking to fish the legendary rivers in Cooper Landing. This home is set up for the combination of groups if their interest vary from angling to cooking to being outside and sightseeing. And the host were tremendously accommodating thru our whole stay.

Well taken care of, clean , location is awesome, owners are very friendly and helpful and the house was outfitted with anything a person would need or want. It is like staying in your own home.

We had a terrific time here in Cooper Lansing! While the home has a “second home” feel (a little dated in the furnishings, cookware, utensils, etc.) it’s huge, comfortable, and the location is second to none. A mountain view from the master, river views from everywhere! (I’ll never forget having my morning coffee just a few hundred feet from the beautiful Kenai!)Alaska is all about scenery and outdoor activities and this property excels in both of those offerings. Highly recommend for a large group looking for lots of space!

Outstanding and Spectacular!
My family of 10 stayed in this house July 20-27, 2018. Our experience was wonderful. The house was very large and comfortable! Extremely clean and very well stocked with more than everything we needed for a great week. The owners, Rick and Carol, are so friendly, and very concerned that our vacation in Alaska was the best it could be. I would recommend this house to everyone, and we will definitely be coming back every year! Thanks!

The location is fabulous
Very good location. The only reason I didn't give this home 5 stars is because it states it is a 4 bedroom home. The fourth "bedroom" is a room with a bunk bed but that is all. No closet and absolutely no room for luggage. Would probably work for children under the age of 12 however the 2 Adults that was suppose to be in that room couldn't fit and had to sleep in the middle of the room on the second floor. They were very disappointed in that accommodation. With that being said everything else was as expected. Very clean. Great communication between us and the owner and manager. When we booked the house the owner sent me an email that had all the information we needed about the house and the activities around it. That was very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again it was lovely.

A little bit of paradise!!
Overall it is a wonderful house-roomy, accommodating, & just plain nice. Some of our family members griped about the old TV's but I could care less about that when I'm in Alaska! It was well worth it. The fish didn't cooperate either, but Mother Nature controls that. Thanks for a wonderful five days! River rafting was right down the road. So was the Russian River for better fishing at the time. And, a wonderful café where we ate breakfast the day we left, The Sunrise Café-very good food.

GREAT PLACE!!!! Had everything we needed.
This was our 3rd time visiting Alaska. We have stayed at other places by the river but this was by far the best. The views were amazing and the house was large enough for our whole group to stay together. It was very clean and had everything we needed. They even had a vacuum packer for us to use and plenty of freezer space for all our fish. It saved us money by being able to process our own fish. The River was right out the back door and the trout fishing was great. Very secluded and didn't have to worry about combat fishing. Will stay here again and tell all our friends too.

Great Location
The house is as promised although there were several surprises. Yes they have televisions but no TV reception (even though there is a huge dish out back), just DVD/VHS capability. The WiFi worked so we could check the weather and news. The house was not very clean (oven, kitchen counters, dining room floor) The caretaker had just "moved out" for our vacation week and we could tell. Many of the lights did not work and the gas BBQ grill was broken, luckily someone knew how to use the charcoal one, which was very crusty. There are no room darkening shades in the master bedroom or futon room, so be prepared to sleep with daylight. The location is great for visiting all parts of the Penninsula and we enjoyed our stay. However, they are charging premium prices therefore it should be in excellent condition.
