We stayed at Martin’s townhouse for a quick family getaway near Starved Rock. The home was clean, quiet, and just as described. The owner was responsive when we had some questions. We would happily stay here again.

This townhouse is charming and comfortable and clean and ideally located! I have stay in Martin's townhome before and each time I am so glad to have friends enjoy his place with me! You can literally hike from the door through Starved Rock SP! Plus close to kayaking and Utica and Ottawa! Thanks Martin!!!!!!!

We’ve stayed at this cabin twice this summer, both weeks the cabin was very clean and the host has open communication and answered my questions quickly. The cabin location is perfect! It’s an easy walk to the playground or the main Grand Bear building for dining or swimming. We’re already planning our third trip back to this cabin!

We enjoyed the location being so close to the parks and trails, and staying on the resort property was convenient for restaurants and the arcade. Communication with Martin was great! We did have pest issues... Thousands of tiny ants in the kitchen and earwigs all over the place, but they came and sprayed while we were there and were generous as a result. I would stay with them again.

The condo was very large, and the furniture was pretty cool.
The unit is showing its age in the walls and bathroom areas.
We had a problem getting into the unit. This was the only time booking a VRBO that the building number and unit number were not on my email. The address given was the same as many other buildings. It took 1 1/2 hrs. to finally get into the unit. I had to access my VRBO in-box and download a document to find the information. The main problem was the poor phone service in the area.

Wonderful condo. Clean and spacious. Host was gracious and quick to respond to help us locate the unit. The condos all look alike. The host forgot to share the unit # with initial unit description/location. Definitely would recommend and we will return.

We had a wonderful time relaxing this weekend. The condo was large and comfortable. The kitchen as well stocked to make our food prep easier. It's only a mile from Starved Rock. The manager responded quickly and happily. We'd visit here again. Thank you!

We had a wonderful weekend. The weather was amazing (which always helps). The villa was perfect for our stay. It was equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Beds were very comfortable. Martin answered my questions promptly on the night before we arrived. Will definitely stay here again on our next overnight trip to Starved Rock.

Our family really enjoyed staying at the villa. Has a cabin feel. Love the decor. Nice open plan, real close to both Starved Rock and Mathissen Park. Also stores are minutes drive. We plan to go again next year. The only thing..if you have toddles or mobile babies, keep them away from fireplace glass, it gets really hot. We switched it off and no problem.

Spacious, clean villa with lots of kitchen amenities. Many beds for family to spread out and great table and bar to feed our group and enjoy board games. Sheets were available, but it was helpful to have extra pillows and blankets. Easy three minute drive to Starved Rock Lodge and trails! Additional family stayed at Grand Bear Lodge and had access to the water park which was a two minute walk from the villa. Perfect set-up for a family weekend!

Our family had a wonderful vacation together. We appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. The villa was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. A couple of extra blankets and pillows would have been nice though. The onsite washer and dryer was great. Leaving with clean laundry was a definite perk. The owner is very responsive to questions. Thank you for a relaxing stay!

Excellent place to stay for any events happening in downtown Utica. We appreciated the spacious Villa and being able to bring our dogs. Plenty of green space around the property for walks and the owner was more than accommodating for our last minute guests. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our visit but we had to clean both showers there was used toilet paper in the bathroom trash can and a used wash cloth downstairs and upstairs bathroom there was hair in the shower and we had to clean the shower curtain liner before we took a shower other than that the place was good

Property was great and looked as advertised. Perfect for a getaway in the Starved Rock area. Martin quickly responded to any of my questions. Also, Martin was very accommodating with a special request, and he went above and beyond with making sure we had a good stay. I highly recommend this property.
