From the minute you get upstairs and see the view, you know it's going to be a great week. Very nice home. Some nice added touches: Weber Genesis gas grill, Nice appliances like Vitamix blender and combo keurig drip/pod coffee maker. Kitchen stocked with everything. Only thing we couldn't find were scissors, so we donated some to the house. The bikes and beach cart/chairs, boogie boards were all top shelf. The beach cart is way nicer then anything you will bring, so don't bother.
No complaints at all. One thing will mention. If you're not hot tub people, let them know before the trip. It's a $250 charge for the hot tub and we never used it.
Great owners. We broke a couple of the beach chairs, and replaced them. Owner offered to refund us the cost of the chairs. We felt terrible we had broken them, and they just said it happens! Very nice.
We've been coming to topsail for 13 years. Always stay ocean front, so this was first time on the intercoastal. Highly recommend and will definitely book again.

Gorgeous sunset views from the deck as well as just a short walk to the beach with easy public access. Well stocked kitchen as well as extra clean bedrooms and bathrooms with all amenities provided helped to make for a relaxing and memorable family vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at Shore Thing. The back of the house has a sound view with the best sunsets you can imagine. It was fun to watch all the boata and wildlife. Each bedroom has comfy beds and its own bathroom. There are tons of towels available and linens are included. Bring your own beach towels. There is also a Yeti backpack cooler, 10 bikes and chairs included. We had absolutely everything we needed and it was nice not having to take all that stuff. The hot tub was also a hit during our spring trip. A great house at the end of a cul de sac directly across from the beach access. We enjoyed our stay! Be sure to try the roller skating on the island!

This was the third year for the four of us staying at Shore Thing for our Topsail retreat. We come back because the house offers everything we need including an incredible view.

Shore Thing was a winner with us. Great location on the marsh and only a few minute walk to the beach. Beautiful home with great layout and like new. Property owner extremely easy to contact and very welcoming. Gave great recommendations for local eateries.

Whether sitting on the deck from the early morning to the setting of the sun, one could not ask for a more perfect, peaceful view. It truly is one of the best that I have been able to experience in my many years of vacation properties, and one you can enjoy from the dining and living room, or even while washing dishes at the sink.
The home itself is exactly as advertised —- clean, spacious, amenity filled and homey. No detail has been overlooked, and I cannot stress enough how incredibly nice it was not to worry about sheets, towels, boogie boards, chairs, bikes, and even the daily needs —- toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. There were even coffee filters for the Kuerig coffee maker :)
Marccus touched base with us when we arrived, and was very welcoming. We had a small issue come up, and he was quick to respond. We even had the pleasure of meeting him in person! Just an all around great guy!!
I love that this home is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a neighborhood that is a good mix of homeowners and rental properties. Beach access #27 is across the street, and the beach is very nice with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the sound of the waves.
The hot tub is a very nice touch especially after a round of golf at North Shore Country Club!
All that is needed for a truly wonderful vacation is your bathing suit, flip flops, your favorite beverage and the people you love! Oh, and a reservation for this beautiful home!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home! So many amenities that we truly enjoyed…new hot tub, beach chairs/bikes, elevator, comfortable beds, spacious family room and kitchen area. In addition, the beach was close and the view from the back deck was amazing! Marccus was a pleasure to work with and we hope to return for another week!!

We loved our stay at this property! Communication was beyond fantastic and the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay wonderful! The hot tub was an added bonus and we really enjoyed it (since it rained 3 out of 7 days we were there!) We definitely recommend the property!

The beach rental was wonderful and in a perfect location on the sound with spectacular views and very responsive owners. The property was clean and well-maintained and my family would stay again without hesitation. The beach house was also well stocked with nice beach chairs and everything we needed for a great week at the beach!

The Hosts have thought of everything. We were amazed at all the little things that were provided to us during our stay that we would have normally had to bring or purchase. Most amazing sunsets and the quiet of where the house is was perfect for our family. We will be back!!

The sunset views every night over the waterway we’re incredible. The house had everything you could think of or need. They literally thought of every detail- down to laundry detergent and dryer sheets, trash bags- well stocked kitchen- great electronics. Their communication and bedside manner was superb. Loved the hot tub and bikes and it was a SUPER quick walk to the beach access. Loved the cul de sac and quiet neighborhood. Views are spectacular. We made so many memories and will definitely return. Wonderful experience!!!!!

This was our second time staying at Marccus and Meg's place. We have 3 children and the home is well set up to accommodate. Location is great. Amenities are wonderful. Marccus and Meg communicated effectively with us when a couple of concerns arose. Beautiful location.Overall a wonderful trip.

This was our 39th year vacationing with extended family and 16th year on Topsail. We have stayed all over the island and our extended group rents from 3-5 homes each year. This year, we gave up oceanfront because mobility issues required an elevator for one family member. On our first full day, we got a call from the owner that a neighbor said we had too many cars and were over occupancy. The neighbor, a Surf City councilman, had apparently observed my sister and her daughter arrive later than we did (theirs was the 5th vehicle and was not parked in the street). They visited for approximately 2 hours, then returned to their ocean front rental home. Despite the beautiful location, the fabulous furnishings and numerous amenities of this home our vacation was marred by our inability to even have coffee with my sister, her daughter and 3 year old grand daughter for fear of being evicted during our stay. Great house, nice owners, nosy neighbors. We won't be back to this property.

We were in town for a graduation party and a party of 9. The house was awesome, very clean and had everything we needed just as described! Location super close to beach and easy to get to especially with the cart to carry the chairs the owners provided.There were lots of bikes to use as well. Views were amazing. We would stay here again! Thanks for sharing your house with us!
