Amazing stay with good location , very clean and scenic views from our room. The host was warm and helpful to assist with booking attractions and all other requirements.

Good location,mountain view is breathtaking.they provide transfer service for our trip. The owner and staff are very friendly. The owner took us to the entrance we must go in the morning. She also helped booking all tickets and gave us recommendations about the National Park.

The host and staff was very friendly and helpful with planning the route about the National Park. Perfect modern design with classic room ,which is spacious and very warm. The staff was so kind to help get all the tickets we wanted for our travel.

Staff and owner was very friendly and helpful with planning of our tours around the Zhangjiajie National Forrest Park, especially with regard to the (un)predictable weather conditions. They brought us to the south entrance of the park for free (about 2,5km from the hotel), and picked us up at the end of the day. Each day when we came home there was ginger tea, fresh fruits and a small fire to warm ourselves up. At the hotel they had a small kitchen area for breakfast and dinner where they cooked for us our preferences. Tried a lot of delicious meals with fresh vegetables from their own garden!

Luxury problem, but sometimes the water was not as warm as wished for after spending a long, cold day in the mountains.

The hotel is located in middle of nature close to the park and has a nice mountain cabin feel. Rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. The water pressure is good and water is hot enough (you just need to let it run for a bit). Breakfast was decent although mainly catered for Asians and the property offers decently priced beer. The owner was very helpful with booking tickets to the park and even gave us a ride to the park and back. She doesn't speak English but uses translator and that works very well. We even shared some funny moments over a cup of tea and baked potatoes. Overall i recommend this place

The hotel is a bit difficult to locate on DiDi but you just need to look for Xiejia road 004. The room was very cold despite the heater beig turned on it didn't seem strong enough to heat up the big room. Would recommend this hotel to offer electric heaters for guests coming in winter.

Номер был грязный. Всё панорамное остекление в жирных пятнах от рук и каких-то разводах. Не замечать этого просто невозможно! Но персонал не видит, странно. В номере не убирают. Нам только полотенце с пола забрали и вся уборка номера на этом. Завтраки отвратительные. Покушать нечего. Из напитков только кипяток. Даже пирожки на пару были всегда холодные.

The Mount View Cottage is AMAZING. The views are spectacular, and the comfort of the room is excellent... It is a formidable place to stay while enjoying the national parks during the day. The beds are so comfortable and the views and bath of the room are just exquisite. Even the toilet was comfortable (heated seats and smart toilet). The location is very quiet and overlooks the "Avatar" National Park, such a special place. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they had the verbal translator device to translate Chinese into English and facilitate the communication between us. They booked all the tickets to the national park and Canyon, and recommended a route to see as much as we could with the time we were staying in Zhangjiajie. They also drove us to town for dinner and to the national park at no extra cost. And picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and train station at a reasonable price. They also let us use their facilities for laundry which was very helpful. The breakfast is local style freshly made - rice, eggs, tea, Chinese cake, fruit.

Excellent location close to the South entrance to the Scenic Area. We had an amazing view on the mountains from our balcony. The location is very quite and piecefull. The owner gave us a lift to the park entrance and pick us up in the evening, which was very convinient. Also we got very good information and suggestions about the park and all our needs were solved very efficiently. Breakfast is good but quite basic. In the evening you can get a dinner from the hotel restaurant, which was tasty. Comfortable beds.

Linen had holes and was ripped and old. We spent the night itching and scratching. Bathroom had hair, under the bed crazy dust and spider nets. Breakfast small and very small choice

The best place for us to close to ZhangJiajie National Forest Park. The excellent view from the hotel and location for looking across at the mountains. The owner were super friendly and help us everything(tickets for the Park, cable car and Tianmen Mountain for the next day. The breakfast is delicious and food is fresh. The Matthew were happy to help with any and all questions on-line.We love this quite place where can run away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just relaxed here. I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

Great location, beautiful view from the room (it is really as nice as in the pictures), very friendly attitude from owners and staff, always helpful and supportive. They drive you to the South Gate of the national park and pick you up from there which is a few minutes drive, but also easy to arrange drop-off or pick-up from somewhere else like other park areas or the airport. Great food, although a very local experience (no Western option or English menu). Communication works via a little translation machine or the translation function on WeChat. Beware of the roosters waking you up early in the morning - the hotel is in the countryside.

The room was spacious, beds are comfy, shower was good. The hotel is stylish. Stuff is very helpful, they picked us up from the town and drove to the park entrance each day.

Everything was good with hotel and stuff. The only question is food. On the first night we had dinner at the hotel and ordered Kung Pao Chicken. What we got was pretty much dried out chicken cubes. The breakfast may be better as well.

The comfortable beds, electric blankets, beautiful views and the delicious home made meals as well as the wonderful hospitality of the hosts who shuttled us to the park entrance daily. They also willingly shuttled us to a restaurant at the park gate. All in all the highlight of our stay in Zhanghjiajie - highly recommend this hotel!!

The evening meals were a little expensive for local dishes- compared to Shanghai prices. The showers were not hot every day and the communal lounge area is very cold in winter.

The room and property were stunningly gorgeous, with a surreal view of the mountains. Our room was upgraded, and we were happy to have a room with a balcony! If you're looking for the feel of traditional culture, this is it. I love Chinese historical dramas, and Mount View Cottage fulfilled some dreams of mine. Beds were incredibly comfortable and staff was so helpful. Our host used a translator device to communicate with us, and it worked smoothly. Their shuttle service was able to take us to the bus stop or to the Zhangjiajie National Park entrance. Breakfast and dinner were SO delicious, which were made by their family. We believe the ingredients must have been local, since the quality was so good.

Though the property was a quick shuttle drive to the Zhangjiajie National Park Entrance, it was quite off the main road and so not close to the shops and restaurants. Expect to take the shuttle first when you want to go out, then a taxi or bus. There were also a lot of roosters nearby, so we woke up quite a few times early morning.
