My husband and I stayed for 4 days. It was easy to get to from the airport- the location was in a very nice neighborhood and the best part was the view from this little gem! Spectacular Puget Sound views and if you take time to explore the surrounding area- absolutely gorgeous friendly towns! Ron communicated well and Barb was a gracious warm host. We were welcomed with special touches such as snacks milk butter - fresh flowers, everything! We didn’t need to go out for anything! We ate out most nights or had delivery. We didn’t want to leave and if we did- couldn’t wait to get back to sit on the patio. The air temp was fine and the water pressure was great! This was our first time doing the VRBO sort of thing- so this was a great start! If we every come back ( I’m sure we will ) to the PNW- this will be our go-to for accommodations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Seattle at this property. The property was well maintained, clean, and had a wonderful view. I would highly recommend this property if you were interested in a very comfortable place to stay while in the Seattle area.

Most online listings make the view look better than it actually is. This is the opposite. The views of Puget Sound are expansive and stunning. The apartment itself is very comfortable and came with nice touches such as eggs, english muffins, butter, jam, coffee and butter cookies. Access to Sea-Tac and downtown Seattle were easy during our three-day stay. We found this a much better alternative to hotels, but in terms of comfort and view, but also price. We'll be back.

This is a beautiful home. The owners provided breakfast foods which was so nice. Eating an omelet on the patio overlooking the Puget Sound was amazing.

Gorgeous view. Welcomed with wonderful coffee, breakfast food (eggs, butter, English muffins and jam) as well as snacks. Restaurant menus and brochures. Games, TV, perfect bedding. I felt like I was in someone’s well-loved home. Thoughtful amenities make a difference. Loved every minute. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful property! The view is the first thing you notice, just stunning. But, it isn’t the only thing you notice. The home is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds were high quality and super comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Towels, blankets, etc were abundant and excellent quality. Barb, the owner who lives on sight was there to be helpful, but never intrusive. Anytime you want to stay in this area, treat yourself to this little gem!

Had a great stay. Perfect for the needs of me and my sister. Only a little trouble with the heat, there was no thermostat, and temps seemed to be controlled by the house above.

Barbara and Rod ensured we had a fabulous stay. They had provided all the basics for breakfast, showering, cooking and a glorious view. The pictures are very accurate and it was very quiet. We'll be staying here in the future whenever we come to Seattle. This was the best Seattle experience ever!!

The property is very serene and private. The views were the best! We loved that it’s such as easy drive to Seattle and other locations, like the airport. The place has everything you would need as far as toiletries. Such a great experience. And Ron is awesome!

We stayed at Island View for 5 days. Frankly, the view is unbelievable. Whether day or night, sunshine or rain clouds, the view delivers over and over again. It takes your breath away. I can't say whether we loved the night view or day view the best. It's incredible to wake up in the morning and look out through the oversized window from bed and soak up that view. The home is very quiet and made it easy for us to unwind from our busy careers. Bedding was luxurious and mattress was sooooooo comfy. Shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The location is very convenient to everything the Seattle area offers. Just a short trip to central area of Pikes Market and downtown, north to Microsoft or south to Tacoma/Gig Harbor. We especially appreciated the extra touches left for us by the Hosts --- SBC coffee, cookies and snacks plus Cherrios, milk, butter and eggs. We've stayed at alot of vacation homes and no one has made us feel more welcome :-) My recommendation to anyone contemplating a stay in the Seattle area is to book Island View if it's available! It's absolutely perfect!

Absolutely wonderful space to find some peace and quiet! The house is tucked away high up on the hillside overlooking the beautiful water !! Huge bay windows to gaze out at while sipping something warm! All sorts of EXTRA goodies were provided including some basic groceries (which was so appreciated and unexpected ) . The closets were full of beautiful fluffy towels, bath robes and a million fuzzy soft blankets to curl up in! The fireplace adds to the ambiance and really just lovely!! Parking spot is provided and separate entrance to the unit is well designated and well lit in the evening! I could write pages more about this gem of a place! We will definitely be back!!! When I arrived, I found that they provided coffee, milk, eggs, cereal, English muffins, jam and other treats. Very nice people. I will stay there again.

Our thanksgiving holiday with our brand-new granddaughter at this beautiful venue was so special - especially because of all of the attention to details (both large and small) by our generous host and his incredible tream! The property and its views are spectacular! The accommodations are comfy, stylish, well-lite (with dimmable indoor lights, gorgeous battery-operated candlelight, and cozy outdoor porch light) - juxtaposed at all hours to the Olympic Peninsula, the Sound and the wild beauty of Three Tree Point! (Important note - specifically for work travelers ——!Each living area of this warm inviting space has strong wifi access and every needed modern feature (plugs / outlets / power strips). Our host & team made certain we had every possible comfort attended to & need met - in advance I’d our arrival!! We were lavished with a thoughtfully stocked breakfast, fun snacks and the most comfortable linens (towels / sheets/ robes). Thank you!!!!!

Great place to stay.

Island View is perfect for a quiet, scenic stay if visiting the Seattle area. We were able to enjoy the high points of the city but still enjoy the quiet beauty of the Puget Sound.. The property is so well equipped you will have everything you need for a perfect getaway.

We had just gotten off of Amtrak from Glacier National Park, ridden light rail to the airport to get a car, and were able to sleep like babies, enjoy the serenity of Puget sound, and make fun day trips all over the area. We returned to wonderful surroundings nightly, sometimes cooked and generally made ourselves at home. Barb was so welcoming, as was Ron, answering any questions we had and making us feel at home. Burien was a great location… near the airport and out of the hubbub. We visited Seahurst Park nearby, at Barb’s recommendation and enjoyed seeing kids in galoshes finding starfish and mussels. If you’re in the area, this is a wonderful place to stay and such welcoming hosts to work with. We are from the South and now know the South has no corner on the hospitality market:). Thanks to both Tom and Barb for adding to our trip.

The view!!! My parents lived in this area and I recognized the view down the Sound. The owner stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking, which it was. Very comfortable, very clean.

Our stay was relaxed and comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful and felt very safe. The accommodations were as listed, clean and pleasant. Very quiet. Communications with Ron was very good. We highly recommend a stay here.

Apartment is below owners house. Owners are very friendly and we’re quick to answer any questions. Otherwise I hardly knew they were there. Very comfortable beds with great linens, towels (lots of them) and great fireplace/heater. Dining either outside or inside with a full on view. Very comfy patio furniture with a view, of course. Kitchen and bath are small but met all of our needs. One bedroom with the same stupendous view. Definitely want to return next year!!!

The view here is amazing we slept in the room with the big window with the shades open the whole time so we could enjoy the view and watch the humming birds first thing in the AM. The property managers are so friendly, we came in early in the morning and had to run around the city but didn't want to take our bags with us. The prior group checked out early so Barb let us bring our bags early so we cod keep our atuff safe. The check in instructions are so easy and the property manager called to make sure we receive our instructions. The locatin is great easy to get to the highways and aroind town. the neighborhood is quiet They had plenty of towels and blankets (it was cold this wwekend) They also had nice snacks, and some breakfast stuff here for us if we wanted them.
