This cabin is special. You can tell a lot of thought went into the furniture, decor, and amenities. The location is perfect - in the mountains, but close to town.

Great stay for myself and husband, daughter and her friend. Pool table was a hit with the teens. Beautiful area. Easy drive to town.
Only downside is the third bedroom was not used and who ever would have gotten that room would definitely have the short end of the stick. As the room is very small and bed seemed a bit older. The other bedroom downstairs was used by my husband and myself and it sunk in the middle some we noticed. So maybe a new mattress needed. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Loved the layout of home. The master bedroom is right next to pool table so we ended up giving the kids the master.

We've had multiple stays at this beautiful home. It is always immaculate and well stocked. It's easy to get to yet secluded and quiet. Just a short hop to the ski area or Ruidoso. Extremely comfortable, warm, and relaxing. We are looking forward to our next stay.

I booked this week as I have in years past with the plan to ski at Ski Apache. Unfortunately, the weather did not behave this week so we spent most of our time hanging out in the cabin. It was actually quite relaxing and nice to spend time together as a family. The cabin was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time together. We did spend our last day at Winter Park. That place is pretty fun and a nice alternative to Ski Apache. We will return to stay at Lacy's Cabin in the future!

Great family cabin with a great hot tub! Cabin was clean and has a great floor plan. Kids stayed downstairs while we were up in the master. Pool table is just off the master but worked out great. Lots of fun. I only awarded 4 stars simply because the water pressure is so low in the house that the showers were much like portable camping showers that barely drool out water. No soap provided either so bring it along. One last negative was that the gas grill needs upgrading. It functioned but barely. The place is great other than those items and it was incredible to see the wild horses charge through the yard. Overall we really enjoyed it.

We had a great time at Lacy's Log cabin! The location is great with beautiful mountain views. The cabin was very clean and spacious. We were not able to ski at Ski Apache like we'd hoped due to weather. We did however spend time on our last day at Winter Park. Highly recommend, super fun place to go snow tubing.

We drove up for the weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. After a 12+ hour drive everyone was ready to relax & unwind. The cabin and location is absolutely beautifull. The views are gorgeous. We had the misfortune of having NO HOT WATER the whole weekend! We contacted the property manager and i was able to grt him on the phone. He explained to my husband where the furnace was located, but unfortunately the key had been placed at a different location by the cleaners,so we were unable to check. The following morning we were able to locate the key and my husband checked tthe water heater when we returned from skiing. Water heater was not working and was leaking water. So all weekend we had NO HOT WATER & had to take cold showers and heat up water. This was not an ideal situation, but we made due. We understand things happen & we don't want to give a bad review. Other than that problem we loved the cabin, location and all the deer that go by the property. This is not our 1st time in Alto/Ruidoso we usually come up for a week during the Christmas or New Year's holiday. It's absolutely beautiful.

We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. The fireplace, with wood provided, was so enjoyable. The close proximity to Ruidoso was nice. We were able to stay upstairs with our own bathroom while the friends we met there stayed downstairs and had a bathroom to share with the 3rd bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool table upstairs. The cabin is a great space at a very reasonable rate.

This log cabin is really charming. The location and excellent quality cabin we’re better than I expected. Went out with family and friends to hike in area. The location was great for hike trails and the hot tub was I think the best I’ve ever soaked in. The whole experience was positive.
Highly recommend this property.

Amazing cabin!
I have to say it was the best cabin I’ve stayed in. I been to ruidoso multiple times and I have to say this cabin makes you feel at home, specially because Mr. Robinson was really helpful on all the questions we had. If you are planning to have a good trip with your family this is the one, definitely recommended!

Beautiful cabin
The cabin was beautiful. We used the pool table, the hot tub, grill and both decks. Everything worked well, and we had no issues at all. Everything was so clean. An extra thank you to evolve, Bill (the property owner), and their cleaning crew. The service and property was perfect. Will be booking again... also, something I noticed people commenting about... was that there’s no AC, which is true.... there are small units for each room. House was fresh and comfortable to sleep in. If that’s a concern for your booking.. don’t worry about it. It was a very cozy and relaxing stay.

The cabin was very clean and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with any appliances you would need. Very good location for skiing, hiking and tubing. Would highly recommend and plan on returning again with our family next year. This cabin is perfect for a family getaway!

Very relaaxing
The cabin was wonderful. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. It was clean, spacious, easy to get to, had plenty of towels, and really nice pots and pans for cooking. The only thing that would have been nice - having some plastic cups/plates/bowls for the kids to use - I was always worried the kids were going to break something. I would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Great place to stay!
The house was perfect! Nice! Functional! Clean! My family and I scheduled a skiing trip and this house is in a great location. Decorated nicely, even with a Christmas Tree. Just 3 minutes from Ski Run Road and easy access to anywhere in Ruidoso. If we plan another trip to Ruidoso, we will definitely stay here. It exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful cabin with a view!!
Our family just stayed the weekend at Lacy's Log cabin. There were 6 of us. Plenty of room for everyone. The cabin was well furnished. Very clean! You can not get a better view! Wow! The house is heated by an under floor radiator, we never got cold. Keeps your toes warm! The location is fantastic if you're skiing. It is a little difficult to find, just follow the instructions you get from the owner. I do have a couple suggestions, we all drink coffee and there's only 4 mugs, so 2 more would be great! Also, the toilet paper could be better, not a deal breaker. And maybe add a frying pan. My family and I will stay in Lacy's Log cabin again! Thank you Bill (redacted by Evolve) and your sweet wife for your guidance and everything you guys do to keep your guest comfortable. Amazing visit!!

Quaint winter getaway
We really enjoyed our January visit to Ruidoso and our stay in this cabin. It was a good size for 2 families (6 people in total). The hot tub was fantastic - especially the dichotomy of hot water but snow on the ground! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, glasses, plates, etc. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were clean. The mountain views are as good as they look! The only "negatives" or opportunities for improvement that I see are 1) install new smoke alarms and 2) the floors are very creaky so every late night walk was heard throughout. However, bring ear plugs to sleep in and that can be remedied for under $5.

Not impressed
The heat did not work and the temperature got down to 25* and we froze. There was no firewood. The downstairs shower and sink had 0 pressure, everyone downstairs had to go up and use that shower. The owner got the heat on but a day before we are leaving and the cabin did not warm up until the morning we are leaving. Positive note the place is clean and nice, just needs thise amenities repaired. Probably will not book this cabin again.

Great getaway!
Had a blast staying. The cabin is well appointed and wonderfully decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great views, quiet, and cool weather.
Only removing one star due to all of the smoke/CO detectors being removed throughout the home. That in itself would not prevent us from staying again, but there is a safety concern with no detectors in an all wood home that is supplied with gas...

Perfect Mountain Retreat
I really can't say enough good things about this property. There were six of us in total, and there was plenty of room for everyone. This place is far enough to be considered isolated and yet close enough to the amenities of Ruidoso. Our favorite part was feeding the deer every morning and collecting firewood for the fireplace. Sunsets were gorgeous every day. The kitchen had everything we needed, there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and the whole place was clean and tidy. We appreciated the extra toiletries in the bathroom, and my kids loved the claw foot tub. Wifi and cable worked great. Heating was perfect, and all the appliances worked.
If there were any negatives, I'd say it was a little hard to figure out which light switches operated what, and the back door deadbolt sticks quite a bit. My mom was unable to unlock the door because she wasn't strong enough. Still though, I would recommend this place to everybody. I plan to rent Lacy's Log Cabin again if we return to Ruidoso. :-D

Ruidoso Mountain Log Cabin Weekend.
This property is in a mountain area with a beautiful view and lovely wrap around porch with hot tub. The house is a cute log cabin style, the manager and owner was very responsive to phone calls and refunded some of the cleaning fee since the person cleaning the cabin did not finish. The only negatives were water pressure and the heating. We were very cold in our room downstairs until the last night. There was no firewood available at cabin for fireplace, so we gathered some and purchased some. Overall, a nice place in a wooded area with great views.

Very nice cabin!! Really nice scenery.
The cabin was really nice. We enjoyed the pool table. Being that the first night we stayed in and it even snowed!! It was nice to feed the deer in the morning. That was so amazing!! We took a sled with us. And were able to put it to good use. Sledding down the road. The heated floors were awesome!!!

Fabulous cabin!
We loved our stay at Lacy's Lodge...especially having coffee on the front porch enjoying the views and wildlife. The log cabin was excellent just like the pictures and we had everything we needed. Definite recommend!

Beautiful cabin in a quiet neighborhood with a great view!
This is a very spacious cabin with plenty of space for a family. Our young son loved exploring the cabin and surrounding yard. We enjoyed hand feeding the deer and watching them from the hot tub. The location is very convenient for getting to Ski Apache and the Winter Park. It was a little difficult to find when we arrived, so I would recommend arriving before dark! We would stay again!

Awesome cabin
Everything about this cabin was top notch. It was well decorated, had great entertainment and it has a great view of the mountains. The hot tub was awesome as well. The driveway has two entrances and you will need to use the back entrance if you do not have a truck; the front is pretty rough. Only complaint is that I have never seen a grill without a temperature gauge. Only 2 burners worked but it was useless anyways because you cant cook anything without knowing the temperature of the grill

Great place to stay!
Our family really enjoyed the stay at Lacy's Log Cabin. It was clean and well furnished. The hot tub was an especially amazing experience. Although the temperature was single digits, we were able to enjoy the majestic night sky while the water in the tub stayed over 100 degrees. Rooms were roomy and fire place made things warm and cozy. The kids especially enjoyed seeing the herds of deer wondering the neighborhood. We could feel the amazing love and hospitality left by the owners of this property. Big thanks to Bill (local property manager) for clarifying the location directions and the advice to bring plenty of fire wood. It was easy and convenient to receive and return keys. Thank you for trusting us with your cabin. We will come back in the future.

WE WENT FOR MY HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY IT WAS WONDERFUL, THE CABIN WAS VERY NICE, THE FIREPLACE WAS GREAT (JUST REMEMBER TO BRING FIRE WOOD) WE ENJOYED THE HOT TUB ON THE COLD NIGHTS AND THE HUGE WINDOWS LOOKING OUT AT THE SNOW WAS AWESOME.

Magical Christmas at Lacy's Log Cabin
Dreams of a White Christmas became a reality and there was no better place to experience it than at Lacy's Log Cabin in Alto, NM. The log house is wonderful with a great view of Sierra Blanca from the spacious front porch. The Milky Way put on quite a spectacular show in the winter sky. The radiant floor heat during the cold weather was a treat and the pool table was fun for the grands. The hot tub was ready upon arrival and felt relaxing, day or night. Hand feeding apple slices, carrot coins...and maybe an oatmeal cookie or two...on the back deck to the herd of deer passing by mornings and afternoons was a thrill for everyone. With Santa and reindeer snacks set out by the toasty fireplace, we slipped into bed Christmas Eve hoping for snow. And it did! After opening presents, we bundled up and went sledding on the neighborhood streets and made a snowman. So much fun. The gas grill cooked our Christmas steaks to perfection. The house contact person was easy to reach by phone prior to the trip and had helpful answers to my questions. Our family made magical memories at Lacy's Log Cabin.
