Beds are not comfortable & place need a maintenance

The host Xaku was very nice. He is a new host, and needs to learn and double check the apartment prior to guests entering.

The aprartment was not clean at all. Had to wipe out from the cupboards old dust and even someone left behind dirty underpants. Very gross. With out me knowing the place was not open for the season, in early april. I would not have chosen this apartment had I known this, but opted for a more central location. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the center of town. I also had to go out and buy glasses, wineglasses, wineopener and a water heater. Also dishwasher sponge and wipes for the countertops. There were dirty dishes in the sink when we arrived. So no this did not live up to expectations and was not worth the money. I also missed hangers for the clothes and also some hooks or a stand to hang up jackets in the entry. Same for the bathroom, it needs hangers for the towels.

The bed was old and noisy. You have to pay extra for all amenities like beach access, pool, parking.

Very disappointing. Room was very expensive and the location not nice. You have to pay for the access to the very small swimming pool....

Plus: -good WIFI -beautifully situated in the bay with great view from the balcony -the hotel is tasteful and has a nice pool and easy access to the beach -big apartment -big refrigerator -easy to get the key

We paid 150 Euros a night which is quite high in Saranda. The bad review should be seen in comparison to what we paid. Minus: -really bad beds, very hard and made terrible noises. -bathroom very below standard: no shower curtain so the floor got dangerously slippery!, no toilet paper holder, no curtains in front of windows, nothing to put soap on in shower or sink, no drainplug in the sink, the towel rack came lose right away, the shower head could not stay up under water pressure so it was basically handheld, no light over the mirror just a wire. -no trash bin in kitchen or bedroom -naked bulbs in every room -no kitchen light, just a wire in the ceiling. -no furniture on the balcony (but a table and four chairs on the terrasse) -kitchen well below standard: for a fully equipped kitchen there was 5-6 mixed glasses, no kettle, no pots (so if you wanted to boil water you couldn't), no coffee machine (not an issue with us), 1 pan (found it filled with oil in the oven), 2-3 cups (but to what use LOL), humid smell from the kitchen, mold found in cabinet over the sink. -If you have small children: no railing on the stairs. -You pay for all the facilities at the hotel: chairs at pool and beach -their own hair drier didn't fit in their own socket. -"manager" Adella and owner speak no English. We communicated our dissatisfaction to the "manager" byt SMS and in person (found them at the pool) but to no avail. They did not care to try to understand our issues nor did they make any effort to rectify the apartments shortcomings in any way. The "manager" Adella did however have time to have drinks at the pool with the owner and spend hours at the pool with her children and husband. We would, as we told them, have been happy if they would have tried to remedy some of the issues og given a discount.
