Shell Castle è il nostro cottage più spazioso, con una stanza per ospitare fino a 10 ospiti. Godetevi le viste sull'oceano dal ponte laterale dell'oceano e approfittate della breve passeggiata per l'accesso alla spiaggia. Dotata di quattro camere da letto con due maestri con letti king size, bagni completi e accesso a ponte, uno con una regina e un'altra con due gemelli e altri 5 bagni, il Shell Castle ha tutti i comfort di casa. La grande cucina, zona pranzo e soggiorno con camino e vista sull'oceano offrono un bel spazio per riunioni di gruppo. Una zona den separata con TV offre spazio extra rilassante per gruppi più grandi.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was prefect for us.

This house was very clean. It's a lot closer to the ocean than described which was a pleasant surprise. All but one bedroom had a private bathroom - another perk. Close to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, restaurants, bait shops and both grocery stores (FL and Conners). Only downfall was the lack of kitchen essentials - only 2 silicone potholders and low quality pots/pans. We made the best of it and came prepared after reading other reviews. Again, it was very clean which is a sticking point for me.

It’s always a pleasure to be back at Lighthouse View that’s our home away from home. This year was a little bit different as the beach replenishment was going on, but so glad to see that the beach has been restored.

Couldn't ask for a better house and location to spend Thanksgiving week with the family. House has the perfect layout for both privacy and togetherness for a family with a 4 bedroom needs. This is a rare house that allows 2 dogs, which we needed. Excellent location for fishing and all the necessities of shopping close by. We have vacationed in this house on two consecutive Thanksgiving weeks, and will always check on availability here first for future vacations. Love it!

Our Family always has a great time with our rental at Lighthouse View. We are always surprised to see the changes that have been made when we return each year. We were a little upset with our reservations for next year but we can't do anything about that, things happen.

We were in Buxton in Mid April, the weather was beautiful and the area is quiet then and less commercial than the northern part of the island. We enjoyed nice long walks near the lighthouse and the ferry ride to Ocracoke Island. The house was clean and the management addressed any concerns quickly. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Perfect for a group with kids. Good location - although we expected their to be a beach out front and it was all sandbagged - it would have been nice to know that up front but there are lots of great beaches within driving distance. The kitchen could have been stoked with some additional equipment (we had to go out and buy a spatula) but overall we really enjoyed it and would stay there again.

The house and location were lovely. The office was closed for the week due to holidays but we did not have sheets for one of the beds making it unusable. We reached out to the phone number and email the office shared with us but no one contacted us. We tried 4-5 times hoping we could get a set of sheets and use the bed and be comfortable. There was also a tornado warning and severe weather one day but no one checked on us. I work in hospitality and we never shut down - never to customers. Someone is also there to ensure the guests are safe and comfortable.

4 adults 3 teenagers and one adolescent. We all fit quite comfortably in this spacious vacation home in Buxton NC OBX. The accommodations were clean and comfortable with plenty of dining table surface and seating. Whether eating or relaxing watching TV. Just steps from the beach which also provided plenty of family space. Parking underneath to keep vehicles and fishing gear out of the sun and elements. Two decks to lounge on with a nice view of the beach.

Every year, for the past eight years, our family heads to Shell Castle to celebrate my birthday. Being a surfer this is one of my favorite spots. Shell Castle is well equipped and we love the big living/dining/kitchen area and big deck to sit out and watch the sunrise, ocean and stars.

The accommodations were very good. We really enjoyed our stay it was nice to getaway for a couple of days after having lost my father in May. The house had a very good view of the ocean. The only negative was that the house could have used a little interior maintenance. The ceiling was flaking in the corners over the kitchen and dining room. The grounds around the steps were covered with vines with thorns. Would definitely recommend this place even with its flaws.
